Mazatlan

Wow, we had a party of 22, which included about 7 kids, but the staff was so accommodating and kept us up on chips and salsa and drinks while the food was preparing! We were very very pleased with their attention to detail (we all got our correct orders!) and the food came out delicious and hot, all at the same time. We were also very pleased that they didn’t automatically add an 18% tip to our bill, as some restaurants presumptiously do! Although they of all places definitely deserve it! The food tasted fantastic, and it was a wonderful experience for everyone. We can’t wait to go again!

I love this restaurant they remember me every time. High quality food for a great price. Try the enchiladas! This is a great place for a small family or business outing. They will even sing if it’s your birthday!

it was a horrible experience. When we got our food we were eating that everything was going just fine. During our conversation a bug jumped on our food and started walking on it I grabbed the bug and gave it to the waiter and he nonchalantly walked away like he didn’t care. I pointed out it was a cockroach that was roaming on our food he took the said bug and went off into the back. We did not feel like eating restaurant food so we box it out just to get it home. My girl gave him a $ 5 tip which I would not have we got up I went to go talk to the manager and the manager was saying that it happens all the time that he cannot control what bugs get into his restaurant. So the long story of this is that we are never going there again we would go up there one sometimes two times a week he couldn’t give us a car or anything so he lost out on a lot of business and not even an apology was given. when we got home we threw that boxes of food into the garbage
we don’t have to deal with Mazatlan EVER AGAIN. more apologies no offering to comp the meal. We sent in there 2 – 3 yes a week

This place gets worse every time I go there, to the point I will never return after yesterday. My mom ordered her usual mojito, which was so horrible she couldnt drink it. We ordered wings, which were ICE COLD when bitten into, and when we told our server, she said «I personally watched them come out of the fryer», seriously lol? Ive been in the restaurant industry for 15 years and thats the LAST thing you say to a customer. The place was dead, not surprsingly seeing how bad the customer service and food is now, but she never even asked if we needed anything, did not refill our waters, nothing! We got ignored the whole time! I will drive the extra distance and go somewhere else like Moctezumas from now on…

Average, Average, you guessed it average. The people are great and the service is good. However, seems a bit too pricey for the size of the portions. Quality of Food is disappointing considering I had no expectations set yet. Just another marginally good experience in T Town.

This place is right down the road from us but we never tried it until recently. I stumbled across the reviews after and I couldn’t disagree more! We had great service, even though we arrived about 45 minutes before they closed. The food was amazing and I had no complaints. We also tried the caramel cake desert and it was heaven. My husband doesn’t even like sweets and he loved it! We will definitely continue coming here. The prices were also very reasonable as the plates are huge.

We went in almost an hour before close and they told us to hurry and order because they were going to close right away because business was slow. While we were there we saw three or more customers turned away because they were closing. We probably should have just left but we stayed and got their mediocre food and impatient staff.

Despite the so-​so reviews, this place was actually very good. I ordered the bean tostada to be on the safe side and found it very tasty. We also had cheese enchilada and found the sauce flavorful. Note: enchilada sauce has peanut butter and meals are not gluten free. Great chips, good service, memorable food.

Since our June 2, 2011 bad experience here we’ve been back many times and had good food and good service. But not today. The Sangria was terrible. The salsa was «soupy», mostly liquid and very little chunks in it. The chili relleno had a taste that made me think of food poisoning. The refried beans were watery. Even the rice had a taste that wasn’t very appealing. We told the waitress that we couldn’t drink the sangria and ordered replacement drinks. The server brought us new drinks but they weren’t the drinks we ordered, they were some other customer’s drinks.
That is what it is like to come here when the holiday staff is on duty and nobody is in charge.

I love this place, food is so good, try the Carne asada

Mazatlan Mexican restaurants are always a good choice, some locations better than others.
Our local one right down the street has great service no matter what the crowd, the downfall is that the restaurant itself is a little outdated and the cleanliness could be a little better:(but other than that the food is always to our liking and quenches our taste for Mexican, there chips and salsa are deelicious and the house margaritas, well you can’t complain with all the flavors they offer…
We will keep coming, plus we get a monthly buy one dinner get the half off from our val pak coupons:) Wooo hooo for coupons!

This is hands down my family’s favorite Mexican restaurants and we still drive here all the way from downtown Seattle!
I am slightly disappointed in the previous Unilocalers reviews as I truly couldn’t disagree more. First, the staff are actually all extremely pleasant and go out of their way to have conversation with guests when deemed appropriate. As far as service, I swear on everything holy we have NEVER waited more than 15 mins for our meals and it is generally much, much closer to between 7 – 10 minutes. Most importantly, the food is AMAZING and the portions considerable. The cost is pretty much right on par with every other local Mexican restaurant in the area, but I cannot stress the greater quality in freshness and taste!
As far as the mention of Anhuac (sp?) down the road, it too it not bad, but the fact that it is ALWAYS empty (like crickets here, people) speaks for itself.
A little out of the way, but more than worth the drive!

The food, service, prices, drinks and interior are all fair — not really worth the visit as Anahuac is 12 blocks down the road and much better.

I would go to el toros down the road if ur looking for this type of atmosphere and food.

I’ve been to this mazatlan several times, Its not the best mexican place to get a bite to eat, but its decent. The food is not bad, but the service kind of sucks. If you are going, get the super burrito, its loaded with lots of goodness.
Parking is never a concern, and if you live in the area, you used to get coupons for buy one, get one free (Monday thru Thursday)
