My boyfriend and I moved into the Miramar last summer, and we love it. Our apt. is really big with a great view of the water. Amazing for the price we pay. This place is very different from other apartments… nice angles and not your typical«box» of an apartment. We even have a koi pond here! The Manager is so nice and helpful, maintenance guy comes quickly and is nice too. Love the parking garage and dog run across the back. Pool is beautiful and always clean. We’re not leavin’!

The management keeps the pool clean and the new patio furnishings look nice but NOONE is allowed to use them — weird. They NEVER update their apartments so expect 1970s darkness and people SMOKE. I suppose its ok for the price, but you share laundry and there is noise, noise, noise.

Lived here about six months before«subleasing.» Was at the Miramar from March ’07 to October ’07. The apartment was basic, a typical cookie-cutter type apartment. You know the type — beige carpets, white walls, looks exactly like every other apartment complex. Laundry was shared between units, and the noise levels between the units tolerable. Outside of building and some of the courtyard areas could use some improvements. Issues? 1) Bedrooms where smaller, storage space was limited. The kitchen didn’t have much cabinet space. We had an issue with the phone jacks not being active as they had been disconnected for painting and not reconnected before we moved in. 2) Also, though the carpet had been replaced before we moved in, they hadn’t done any preventative flea treatment to the unit. So, six months after moving in, our indoor cats and the rest of the household were visited by the hatching fleas. The complex was less than helpful in remedying the situation. 3) The management was also a concern. When we expressed a desire to leave(to move closer to work), we were told we could sublet the unit, but then a month later told that we couldn’t, but that we could bring in roommates to take it over. It was a bit of a hassle. Overall, the Miramar served as a good landing place for the move from Illinois to the Seattle area. Good basic apartments, for a reasonable amount, in a decent area. A-ok.
