I’m moving and I’m so sad to leave Dr. Ancich and her wonderful staff! By far the best dentist I’ve ever had. I came here a few years ago on a recommendation after a terrible dentist experience, and I’ve never regretted it. The whole staff is so caring, willing to address any and all questions/​fears. Very personable.

I wanted to make sure I reviewed Dr. Ancich and staff because I feel the previous review was a bit silly. To address the other review, I think its absurd that he knocked this dentist because her policy is to charge $ 45 if cancelled on within 24 hours, especially when this reviewer has done it more than once. They lose money every time someone cancels within a short period and they can’t fill the slot in time… Every dentist’s office I have ever been to charges a cancellation fee within 24 hrs. By the way, this fee is very clearly posted in the waiting area at her office.
Okay, back to Dr. Ancich and staff… I have only seen her once for an exam and cleaning and it was, without exaggeration, the best dentist appointment I have ever had. The office manager, Heather, was extremely friendly and nice, and even called the day before the appointment to confirm the appointment and to let me know that parking is on the back side of the building. I went in for my X-​rays/​cleaning with Sue, the hygeniest, and she did an incredible job. She was very friendly, informative and explained her steps every time she was about to do a different part of her routine cleaning. I felt very comfortable, especially since she warned me every time she was about to give me a shot of cold air/​poke around my gums, etc.
Dr. Ancich then gave me an exam and went through my x-​rays with me. She was extremely thorough and is obviously very knowledgeable. She literally walked me through every single x-​ray, showing me any potential warning spots and explaining her thought process on every recommendation she gave me. I asked her several questions and she gave me very specific answers, then made recommendations from there. She is obviously very bright and knows what she is talking about.
I couldn’t be more pleased with my visit with Dr. Ancich and her staff. They were professional, kind, and courteous and I feel like I got the best treatment I could have received. I would recommend her and her staff to anyone looking for an excellent dentist.

My wife and I have been going to Dr. Ancich for a few years. Her staff is very friendly and she is a great dentist. I like the fact that she’s a younger dentist so she’s very familiar with a lot of the new laser and imaging technology that’s available to the dental profession. My parents have been using a (family friend) dentist that’s probably in his 70’s and they say it’s almost like taking a step back in time when they go in to his office.
Dr. Ancich’s office is in a great location in Old-​Town Tacoma. We’re definitely planning on using her as our family dentist for the years to come.

Dr. Ancich is a very good dentist and she is very nice. However, the policies at this office are not customer friendly. If you miss your appointment you will be charged $ 45, unless you give 24hrs notice. They might let you slide once, but def. not twice. No exceptions.
