I had my first float earlier today. I had no idea what to expect, but I totally loved the whole experience! The staff were super friendly and explained how everything worked. I liked how clean and inviting the whole building was. When I first got in I closed the door I noticed the air was a bit warm for me, so part of my float I kept the door open to get fresh air in.(After my float the staff member at the front desk told me that the next time I come in they can lower the temperature for me so it will be exactly how I like it. Which I thought was awesome.) But when I did have the door closed I kept my eyes open the whole time. It was the most trippy and fun experience of my life. In the complete darkness I saw things… I saw a kaleidoscope swirling, and colors. LOTS of colors! It was almost like my brain took me into space. And the water… it doesn’t feel like water when you are in it. It doesn’t feel of anything because the temp of the water matches you, so you just feel like you are weightless. For someone with far too much stress this float helped me to chill out. I honestly loved the experience, and would HIGHLY recommend this facility!

I have a membership at NW Float Center and can’t say enough great things about them. The first time I floated, I was so nervous! Seems silly now, but I had no idea what to expect. The staff is just awesome — calm, really kind and glad to help with anything floaters need. The rooms are super clean, well appointed and feel very safe. The area has designated parking(take your valuables or lock in the trunk, just to be sre) and the building feels fresh and clean and taken care of. Floating is something different for everyone. I have never fallen asleep, but stay relaxed and in a very calm state. I have found that floating helps tremendously with this sacroiliac pain I have had since becoming a mom, and coupled with yoga, I never need medication to deal with the pain. Which for me is a total win. It is, at it’s core, 75 minutes of unadulterated«YOU» time, which I think most of us don’t get enough of! Try it, you’ll love it. And these guys make the experience perfect.

I thought I would give floating a try and see what it was all about. The place when I walked in was warm inviting clean and has a relaxing feel to it. The staff is very knowledgable and helpful. The gal educated me all about floating and what to expect. She showed me around and answered all my questions that both myself and my fiancé had. I found out that the center also has a variety of local artists that come and float and then paint about their experience and paint what they see in the tank. That was fascinating to me right from the start. They actually have a program for artists where they let them float twice free of cost and they trade an art piece and all of those pieces is are on exhibit there. When I was floating I actually re experienced my car accident from when I was just 5 years old. I never quite remembered how I got out of the car as I had significant brain trauma. In the tank it was a little odd as at first I was relaxed and then was present but also in an awake dream state. I was told the tank allows you to go into Theta waves faster and allows you to meditate much easier. When I was in this state I quite suddenly remembered the entire car accident including how I got out of the car and how I helped my younger brother out too who was 4. The accident was a huge accident as a drunk driver hit our stopped car going 50. I started crying in the tank and for a little bit my headache came back — and then dissipated quickly. I had bad headaches just like that one for many years after my accident. It was an odd experience but at the same time it was releasing and I am anxious to do it again to see what else happens next! I loved my floating experience and I’ve only floated just once so far!!! GOFLOAT !!! It’s amazing :)))

This was the first place I ever floated, and I’m hooked. I’m the type of person whose brain never shuts off, but floatation therapy is the only place I truly Zen out. The guys who own it are so great! They will walk you through the process, and make you feel very comfortable. The rooms with the tanks are relaxing and well appointed. The tanks can be a little tricky to get in and out of, but I’m sure the staff could give you some tips. Do yourself a favor… try it!

So, I got to say I was a little nervous stepping into a completely dark tank to float for 75 minutes, but it was an amazing experience. First, I am not a person that can shut my brain off and have a hard time meditating, but the quiet stillness in the tank allowed me to actually meditate off and on. It also gave me time to just be which I never do. Afterwards, I felt the most relaxed I have ever felt. I plan on going back again and again and would recommend this to anyone who needs to just be, has aches and pains, or wants to just try something different.

Very inviting as you walk in. I love all the salt lamps in the lobby, which I believe are for sale. Liz greeted me and took care of my groupon, then showed me to my «escape pod». The room I was in was super clean, inviting and calming. There are make up removers, petroleum jelly, ear plugs, Q-Tips, tissues, a bathrobe if for some reason you needed to get up and use the restroom(definitely use it prior to going into your chamber), and tissues all the things you need to prep for your float. The escape pod itself was nice and warm, and they provide a little stopper if you don’t want complete darkness. It only leaves a slight glow due to the salt lamp in the room, that shouldn’t interfere with your float. My one thing is the«neck pillow» perhaps changing that to one of those pool noodles cut in half so the neck is cradled better. I was fiddling with it the whole time, but didn’t ruin or bother me at all. I just had a terrible experience at my first float in Seattle that this was 100000000X better. I have two more floats here thanks to groupon! I look forward to my next few! Thanks again for being awesome Liz!

I am giving this place 5 stars due to the staff was friendly, the place was clean, and the setup here is really neat. I, unfortunately, could not get my neck comfortable in the float tank though, so my experience was not relaxing. I will try it again, but since I wasn’t comfortable, 70 minutes of this is not on my list of things to try again ASAP:)

After putting off the attempt for a month or more I decided to schedule my visit online. The website allowed me to easily schedule and even include notes/special requests for my visit. I did have to call for clarification on tank sizes. The site uses a graphic that states 2 tanks are over 6′ feet when in fact all 4 are over that size. After scheduling I looked forward to the visit all day. I arrived after work which included a marathon meeting feeling like I needed something extraordinary to occur. The business owns 2 dedicated parking spaces in the lot with possibly 2 curbside spots out front. This helped relax into the visit not rushing to find parking. The check-in process was casual, calm and friendly. I felt very much like Alex lets the client dictate the interaction and gauges nervousness or anticipation well. Based on client needs I feel that he would easily adjust the experience. After a short walk through of the routine, I settled into the tank. A Unilocal!review is not necessarily the place to share or discuss my personal experience during the float, but it is important to note that whatever your reason for floating: relaxation, rehabilitation or, like En Vogue, freeing your mind all these issues can/will be addressed simultaneously. After my session, I chose to sign up for a membership. I will definitely want to continue my floating experiences. The website isn’t very thorough in describing how the monthly plan works. It almost sounds like it’s too good to be true, but it is true. It’s basically a loyalty discount. I encourage anyone holding out or thinking about a visit to just dive in. Well, don’t actually dive, the tanks are way too shallow for that.

So a friend and I went here on Saturday for the first time. It was my first time floating and my friends second time. We arrived and the guy who worked there was setting up our rooms. Once it was ready he took us back and walked us through the whole process. The rooms were very clean. It included a shower(with soap/shampoo dispensers so you don’t have to bring anything with you), the float tank, towels, silicone(I think) ear plugs, floor heater, lotion, robe, and flips flops in case you had to leave the room to go potty. If you don’t know already… you float in the nude!! lol I just had to keep telling myself… EVERYONE washes as good as I did when taking my before floating shower! lol Once I got in it was a weird feeling actually floating… in the dark! The only thing was I had to calm myself a tad bc it was warm in there and dark and I had ear plugs in so I could hear and feel my heart beating. Once I was able to get past that I was able to relax… and then apparently fell asleep bc next thing I knew the music came on. That is how you know your time is up… they play music inside the tank. Then you get out and take another shower. It was definitely an interesting experience that I think everyone should try. My body felt pretty relaxed. But, I still would rather get a massage! lol Or maybe I will try to get both next time around so that I am super relaxed! All in all this was a nice clean place with a nice guy who runs the front desk. I would totally go back here!

Well that was pretty rad. Complete silence and darkness along with just floating in a space capsule full of water! Lol. It was great. Alex and pat were professionals and informative. I’ll definitely be going back. Think my second go around will be better. I did fall asleep. 5 stars

Last week was my first time floating. I had never heard to much about it before than but Kriss and Alex were awesome at explaining everything to me. The float was the most relaxing experience I have had. I had thrown my back out the week before and could barely tie my shoes. After the float I had no problem. I felt like I had finished the best ever 90 minute massage of my life. 75 minutes in a float tank will change your life.

Tonight I did my first float. I had been interested in trying floating since I heard about it two years ago. The biggest problem was that they are quite rare. The southwest US and Portland had some but I didn’t want to travel so far just to try floating. Anyhow, my float experience was great, I recommend everyone try it; especially at Northwest Float Center the service by Alex, the owner, was top notch. He explained everything to me and made sure I had an enjoyable experience. The building looks and smells very comfortable.
