O’Malley’s Irish Pub

Went for the first time today and I’ll definitely be back. Had the corn beef and hash and the hubs had the bangers and mash. It was amazing! Bartender was awesome, service was quick, and the vibe was perfect. Go!

I like this place, a cool local neighborhood pub with genuinely friendly staff. Good food good prices. Bonus: has cool dive bar atmosphere.

Went here on a Saturday night after 8. The bar has this odd smell and the table was sticky. Me and my boyfriend stayed for 10 minutes waiting to be served. There were about 5 staff just standing behind the bar just 10 feet from us. No help. So he ordered our beer at the bar. It’s a dive bar. Not feeling the Irish vibe here either.

Best food and drinks EVER! Fun place to watch games and excellent bands and trivia night fills the night life. Rueben and Shepards Pie are to die for. Heaven for the Irish at heart.

My absolute favorite bar. Very few times I’ve had subpar service here but even when I do, I know the people who run the joint and they take care of it right away. Fantastic place for football Sunday, for St. Patrick’s Day and Halloween, I love it here.

I love O’Malley’s. It is what it is, but it’s my neighborhood bar and they make me feel welcome.

Okay… so nobody go here ever. I am a selfish bastard and you don’t deserve the food or cool service. Thanks Rick & Company… we will be back!

If you like Dive Bars this is your perfect one if you’re in the area.
A lot of Army guys like to come here and think they’re super cool because they’re in the Army and becomes a big sausage fest. I suggest staying away on weekends.

I love this bar. It’s grungy, a rocker bar, they have live bands, they have cheap drinks, I feel cool just being there. The drunk people there are really funny. The food is really good bar food. By far my favourite bar in Tacoma.

The worst place ever… from the food to the service. After reading the reviews, we decided to try this place. We ordered the corned beef and cabbage and it was absolutely awful. The gravy on the potatoes was like a gel, it actually tasted worst then it looked. We also had the nachos. Not hard the screw them up but they were the worst we ever had. Think twice before spending your money in this establishment.

My wife and I love this place and stop in several times a week to play pool. It’s just a good, classic pub. Food is a cut above the usual pub fare. Come in Thursday for one of the best food deals around, the $ 2 taco plate. Delicious and huge, with fresh made chips and salsa. I’m a 200 pound guy and I still couldn’t eat it all. Where else are you going to find a deal like that?

Stopped in for lunch and was treated to very good food and a great manager/​bar tender. Ordered the Nachos and the Country Benedict. The Pico on the nachos is excellent and the meat was fresh and delicious. The Benedict was fantastic, eggs cooked to order and the sausage patties also great quality. Only thing I would add to their menu is iced tea. All the food was cooked to order and the prices were exceptionally well balanced. If you are in the area this place is worth a visit.

Been searching for a place with good pub food and we were looking forward to trying this one based on the other reviews but when we didn’t order drinks right away we were given menus and then ignored so we left.

Awesome rueben. I am a connoisseur of ruebens. O’Malley’s has an awesome one. Seriously. Order it. Eat it. Be a happier person because of it. If you don’t like corned beef or sour kraut or both then you shouldn’t get it, so there will be more for me.

At first it looks like a unwelcoming scene, people with gauges, full body tattoos and obscene shirts… But once the food comes out, amazing. The fries are extremely well seasoned, the staff is extremely helpful and drinks are served lightning fast, even at rush hour. Amazingly fair prices, great food, World Cup playing with non distracting music. Great place.

I dropped in while barhopping one night with my friends and they were just munching on some fries and beer. I wasn’t really feeling like eating that night so I just sat there for company.
From what I saw, it was alright… not too fancy, chill, and everyone doing their own thing. I came from the other more crowded bars earlier and compared to those place, it’s quiet. Not a bunch of people boggling in through the door or bumping into each other. More of them minding their own business.
I can’t say if I would stop by here again but maybe I will– just to try their food and bump up their review.

Ok, I live off 6^th ave. in Tacoma and I know there are a couple of upscale places to eat. However, if you want a casual bar atmosphere with AMAZING food for terrific value, then this is the place to come. The happy hour menu is a bit on the not lean side, but dang is it gooooood! The pulled pork quesadilla is amazing, I mean when you don’t need the sour cream or salsa because it’s so flavorful and juicy you know you have a winner. It’s slow roasted and seasoned by their head chef and for 5 bucks you can’t get any better on the ave.
Now, I pride myself on Reuben’s. I try them everywhere I go, and I can’t tell you how thrilled I am to know I can walk a mere six blocks and eat the best dang Reuben in Tacoma/​puyallup/​federal way area… They slow cook their own corn beef, and you get THICK juicy succulent divine slices of REAL corn beef with tangy sauerkraut and Swiss cheese and thousand island dressing all piled between toasted marbled bread. If you think that’s good enough, it gets better. I’m not a huge tater tot fan… I guess I feel too superior to be impressed with glorified fried potatoes that are meant to entice children. But OMG the side of tots that come with the Reuben is like crack, you just want more with each piping hot tot that you pop!!!
Oh yeah, the happy hour drinks are great value as well, nice selection of beers on tap. I’ll be hitting this place often.
