This place is slower than molasses, but I guess that is the expectation that has been set by places like this. My friend had to renew her tags before we headed up to Seattle, so we decided to stop here. I guess they do a lot more than just tag renewals in here so that may be why the line moves slowly. Anyway, there were maybe like 4 people waiting in the chairs to be called and honestly every window was staffed(approx. 10 windows with different purposes) but still slow and barely a number called every 10 minutes. I also found the numbering system a bit nonsensical. Some tickets start with a letter and some just numbers and you really have no idea if you ticket is next. It might be good if they had separate monitors to show which number is next in the series for each window as opposed to calling 4 people who need marriage licenses and then one person needing a tag renewal. Overall it took us just under an hour to get called and once called it was a speedy exchange of cash and a grimace from the lady at the window as if she was not happy to be there and we were on our way. I don’t understand why people can’t just be friendly.

Paying for and picking up new vehicle registration is never a fun chore, but at least if you’ve already paid online they won’t make you wait too long when you come here for pick up. Plus you get to save five bucks compared to going to any of the private licensing agencies in the area. You just need to make sure to arrive before 16:30 Mon.-Fri. and press the ‘internet tabs’ button on the take-a-number machine. Last time I was in and out in just a few minutes, even with a lobby full of people(waiting on more involved paperwork procedures, I’d assume).
