Echoing what others have said. it’s not that the product selection is bad, it’s that the customer service is. I felt like a burden to the staff when I was looking at patio furniture. Maybe I just caught them on an off day. I’ll probably go back, but I don’t know when.

I went in here yesterday looking for both a grill and a new patio furniture set. It took about 15 minutes for anyone to acknowledge me, as the staff was busy having their own barbecue in the middle of the day. When a woman did finally come and talk to me, I felt like a burden to her. So I went left. Unfortunately another friend of mine went in later that day and had the very same experience. Won’t be going back! It’s a shame because although they were a little pricey, I definitely would have purchased something there. They had great quality of items.

Love all of the Rich’s stores! They always have great stuff for my yard and the service is always excellent. If your looking for hot tubs, grills, fireplaces, or patio furniture, these guys have a great selection.

I am so amazed that this business is still around. I would do anything and everything to avoid this store. Our nightmare started the night we decided to visit the Puyallup Fair to shop for a new pellet stove. After looking around, we saw this very attractive cast iron stove that had a neat Mariner symbol embossed into the inside of the stove that you could view through the glass. We were assured that the Harmon stove was a higher end brand with an excellent reputation. Since we were actually outside viewing these stoves, we took the salesmens word that it was indeed«Whisper quiet». This was not a «cheap» stove by any stretch of the imagination. Service call after service call, they could not repair our stove. They did, in their defence, replace the stove once. But, the second stove was just as bad as the first one. Scheduling service calls were always a hassle and the service techs couldn’t have possibly known anything about repairing stoves. An interesting fact is that they no longer carry Harmon Stoves. Is this because they now know what I already knew? Im very curious. Needless to say, here I sit with a horrible noisy piece of crap that I hate with every fiber of my being. This business was one of the worse buying experiences of my life.

We have purchased many things from both the Tukwila store and the Tacoma store. All things have gone well till our last purchase at the Tacoma store. We were looking to purchase a 30″ Twin Eagle gas grille, since the only one in stock was a display our option was to take that one or have a new one delivered from the lynnwood store. Since I didn’t have anything to strap it down with plus the thing weighs almost 300lbs no way were we going to take the display model. We ordered a new one from Lynnwood to be delivered this past Thursday. Again with the weight and all we put it in our garage till we could find some muscle to help take to the backyard. Something clicked in my head that this grill was probably the display at the Tacoma store. I voiced my opinion to my partner and said that one way to know for sure was to check the under hood lights as one of them was out in the store. Sure enough we ended up with the display model from the Tacoma store. We were never told nor did we ever agree to a display model nor would we ever pay full price for a scratched up grill. Not for the amount that we paid for it. When my partner showed up to find out what was up the salesmen lied and said he informed us that we knew we were getting the display. The there were no others in stock. That is a flat out lie. The receipt was written up as a «non-floor model» according to the person the manager sent to deal with us. The manager wouldn’t even come out. To put the icing on the cake they didn’t have either of the grilles we were considering(the 30″ and the 36″ grilles) which we were originally told that both were in stock. I can not give anything but a two thumbs down to store that lies to you when you make a purchase and then calls you a liar when you go back to complain that you didn’t get what you paid for. Who in their right mind would pay full retail for a scratched and dented $ 5,000 grille? Certainly not me. Avoid this Rich’s store.
