Samdhana Karana Yoga – also known as SKY – is a non-profit studio with lots of classes(two to six per day, including Sunday). Google Maps shows the studio north of where it really is. Look for the Club Silverstone sign; it’s right next door. They charge $ 10 per class for drop-ins and have two or three community classes each week which are free or by donation. I went to a community class led by Kevin. Before we began he asked if anyone had anything specific that they wanted to work on. Three people spoke up and he worked their requests seamlessly into his class. Kevin was great at offering options and explaining the moves. The class had a nice flow and we did many of the poses that I’m used to doing. They keep the front door locked during class. I think it’s a great studio and I admire their mission to make yoga more accessible. I’ll be back for sure.

Quaint. Calm. Inviting. Pure. This place is one of my homes away from home. Can’t beat $ 60⁄6 weeks and free yoga on Saturdays!

Samdhana-Karana Yoga is both a physical and spiritual gift to the Pacific Northwest. It is a sanctuary of boundless joy and peace. Kate is simply amazing as are the rest of the staff. If you are new to yoga and are looking to expand your physical and spiritual consciousness then I can only say you must try this Yoga. I am now in my 10th month and can not imagine my life without this simple joy.

This is still a pretty new place– Super nice people! I love the 6th Ave community & Samdhana-Karana has added to the neighborhood. A+ in my book.

Love that it’s a non-profit, community based and offers a sliding scale so it’s super affordable! Classes are drop-in so sometimes there’s 3 people and sometimes 10+! I love going to Pamela’s classes, she has great flow and shows all sorts of ways to modify poses that make them attainable for all skill levels.

This yoga studio is brand-spanking new! I was drawn by the sliding-scale fee and was pleasantly surprised. There is one yoga room and across the courtyard is the reception area. Very simple and refreshing, it smells wonderful and the yoga mats and accessories are great. My instructor was also incredible! This was an all-levels class and everyone had a great yoga experience. The instructor gave options that worked for everyone. All-in-all it was superb. I left feeling light and heavenly and I will definitely be back.
