There shopping is still the same old«Sears» you would expect. Their quality has definitely stayed about the same with most of their products, they still offer a lot of the same services that they did back when I first started coming here as an adult. This location is slightly larger than your average size Sears so chances are good that if it is a specialty item you’re looking for that says«available at store» the website is going to send you here.

If you’re buying appliances in Tacoma, stop in and see Sam Anderson in the appliance department. You’ll never shop for appliances anywhere else. High points of my experience include: 1) Sam beat Home Depot’s pricing on the presidents’ day deals. By a nice bit. 2) Sam arranged a partial pickup/partial delivery — since we needed the microwave for our cabinet installation. 3) When we needed to reschedule the installation, no problem. This was actually faster than calling in since Sears’ phone system is just a long redirection to a hangup. Don’t waste your time. 4) When we thought the fridge was too tall for our cabinets, his team scoured the store for a replacement in the same class of fridge — and then suggested how to adjust the fridge and cabinet doors to fix the issue. Problem solved. The rest of the sales and delivery experience is what you’d expect from sears — text messages that send you a(broken) link to delivery status, a phone system that calls incessantly for three hours the day before(despite the fact that you confirmed the first call), and delivery guys that are less informed about the installation of their products than we were. But ignoring all that — if you want competitive prices, and you really want to make sure you’re getting the right appliance, Sam is the man.

Worst service I have ever had. Purchased five large appliances first part of October with an expected delivery date of 11÷11÷15. The day before we were contacted and advised products were on back order new date would be 12÷3÷2015. Called to complain because two months waiting for advertised paid in full products didn’t seem acceptable. Today part of the order was delivered. Sears failed to coordinate the installation so I have a dishwasher sitting in the middle of my kitchen and am told they can install on 12÷4÷2015. They advised in the mean time if I don’t want it sitting in the middle of my kitchen I ca haul it to the garage myself or ask for a refund. Terrible service and false advertising.

I went to Sears around 7ish on 10÷22÷15 to purchase a treadmill. I went in and started standing on them, pushing their start buttons and trying to get a feel. After 2 sale folk walked passed me with out even trying to look at me I left. I walked around the mall and came back still no salesmen. I went to the shoe area and asked for help. The girl called someone over. As I was walking back he saw me and yelled from across the store. I asked him if I could try the treadmills. He did not ask me anything about what I needed or wanted, nor did he offer any o information on the machines. The belts felt like they were sticking, even on the more expensive models. I asked him if they were all like that. He told me that they can wear out and that is why there are protection agreements. I stopped him there. You are going to display units to encourage people to buy them, but not keep them up? If you want a person to buy a high ticket item like that make it functional! I am not going to buy something that feel like that.

Sears is terrible. I will never shop there again. Bought a freezer, was supposed to be delivered between 10 and 12, and by 7 pm I had received no call, no email, nothing. Wasted my whole day waiting. I called at least 5 times and the only people you can talk to are in a call center who knows where. Was told I’d get a call back, never came. Called our local Sears store, but the only delivery info they have is through the same call center! Terrible customer service. I got a refund for the freezer and am going elsewhere. I hope they go out of business!

It’s Sears… every goes here for Craftsman tools and wonders why the rest of Sears is still a thing. I’ve had some fairly poor service here. If you want Craftsman, it’s a good place to go… as long as you don’t have questions. Bottom Line — Get your tools now, I could see them having a going out of business sale anytime.

No longer a Sears customer. Worst costumer service. Purchased a mattress. Salesman was overly selling. Delivery process horrible. The day before delivery you get an automated call telling you your two hour window, so basically you have to leave the day completely open. The mattress is smaller than measurements of a typical king. Person who delivered left handprints along the wall in the stairs. Sears has completely lost me as a customer.

My husband and I went here to get a washer and dryer. The sales people in that area were actually really friendly and helpful when we went to pick them out. Though the people and cashiers in other areas not so much… The day that we were suppose to get our washer and dryer. They messed up and only brought the washer. We refused to take it because we didn’t want the washer unless they had a dryer. It turns out that they lost our dryer. For a little more than week we are having to call everyday to figure what they were going to do about our dryer. Even at one point they said they found and then immediately couldn’t find it the next day. Were pretty sure they lied about finding it… The whole experience was just terrible and unnecessarily stressful. Finally when we said we wanted our money back they upgraded us to the next dryer up from ours. Which we weren’t really that happy about because the salesperson told us previously before all this happened the only difference between those two dryers was the front panel. It was the washer of the set that was different… but we decided to just go ahead and do it. After everything was done the manager was suppose to call and talk to us about everything but they never called. They said we «might» get a gift card since the next dryer up wasn’t that big of a difference. We never did. The only reason why I’m giving them two stars is because the person who sold them it to us seemed like they were really trying to help us get it sorted out.

I went in to get a Christmas gift for my boyfriend about 10 days before Christmas. I had the item pulled up on my phone with the item number and everything. It was a fiasco. Took the the associate and his manager an hour to get the right item, apply my discounts, and ship it to the store. And I still left with $ 12 in points I had intended to, but couldn’t, use! I give this location 3 stars because the staff was patient and friendly throughout this ordeal and the item arrived 4 days earlier than expected. If Sears trained its employees properly on how to use their new technology(iPads and website) properly, I’d give it 5 stars.

Oh the old standby, Ive been happy with the Sears throwback, fashion for dudes who care little for fashion, sensibilities for twenty years. Nice big store with tools AND pants and a door directly to the parking lot so I dont actually have to go through the Mall to get inside.
