Smash Lash

Super long over-​due review. I have been to this establishment twice and have had Yasuko Kawakami work on my lashes. The environment inside Smash Lash is really warm and comforting, and the entire process from the start to the beginning of the lash extension process went by smoothly. This was my very first time getting lash extensions and they turned out very beautifully. I went for the natural route and went for the classic full set. I have received so many compliments on how beautiful my lashes looked every time I went out. I went back for another re-​fill after about 3 weeks since I had an upcoming wedding to attend to, and the re-​fill actually seemed to last longer than the first full lash set. I have not been back since because I feel that I only want lash extensions when I have a big event to attend to. Also, I love my liquid eyeliner and the lashes made it really hard for me to line my top lash line so I am only going to get lash extensions for events from now on ^_​^. Yasuko Kawakami is a great lash stylist and I would highly recommend her if you ever choose to get lash extensions.

I went to Shannon for awhile so I wouldn’t have to drive to Seattle but after a few months I decided the drive was worth it. My lashes didn’t stay on as long and they weren’t as full as I liked them. The review is more so for the product Shannon uses. For that much money I want to see a difference.

I found Smash Lash after being unable to get to my usual lash place due to their location. Since Smash Lash is right down the street from work I decided to give them a try. What made the deal even sweeter was the fact they had a 25% off a full set before ²⁄₁₄. A big draw for me is the ease in communication and booking and this place has it!
I’ve run into a lot of places where you leave messages and they go unanswered for days. I’m a big texter and emailer and when Shannon contacted me within minutes of booking my appointment on-​line to let me know that the time I requested did not work, but instead offered me another time– I was floored at her response and willingness to get me in.
Their current location is right off of Tacoma Mall Blvd in a strip mall type of place that can be hard to find at first. It has a shared entrance with other businesses and is at the end of the hallway.
The shop is cute and welcoming. The beds are comfortable as is the blankets they use to cover you. Shannon was super sweat and asked what type of lashes I was looking for and what type of look I wanted to achieve. Being that I have short almost non existent Asian lashes, I told her I wanted somewhat long and curled lashes. After 2 hours of a very comfortable experience I woke up with beautiful, long, perfectly curled lashes. She was very gentle and I slept thru most of the process.

I noticed recently that my lashes were falling out and was worried about what to do. I did some research on lash extensions and found Shannon. I was nervous since I am a tom boy and have a hard time with anything around my eyes. Shannon made me feel at ease about the whole process. She told me she was going to tape down my lower lashes which freaked me out but once she did it I realized it’s not a big deal at all. Shannon really is incredible at what she does! She takes the time to put an extension on EVERY SINGLE LASH. The initial appointment takes a while but that is only because Shannon makes sure that all the lashes are done! My lashes look incredible and I have been complimented on them numerous times. I love her and I will definitely keep going back.
PS: The best part is not having to wear any mascara or curl my lashes at all!

Shannon is AMAZING! My lashes have never looked so good! Beautiful thick long and natural looking! She is very knowledgeable and talented with her artistry. I was skeptical about how good they would look or long they would last but she has made a believer out of me!

Amazing service! Professional care! Very chique but inviting atmosphere; affordable. I won’t go anywhere else :)
