Great service & one of a kind work. I have multiple pieces framed by Kim hanging in my house. The best in the Northwest!

I highly recommend Kim and her family at Tacoma Frame Makers. I went in there over the weekend with a framed Seattle Times article from 1966 that is priceless to my family. My mother had it framed in 1996, before UV protective glass became the industry standard, and we were concerned about whether or not the glass was protective and if the matte and backing were acid free. That being said, I made it fairly clear to Kim upfront that this piece was very special to my family and me, I knew nothing about the quality of the materials originally used, and I was clearly willing to pay any price to protect the article. There are a lot of places that would take advantage of my lack of knowledge and say every material needs to be replaced – but not Tacoma Frame Makers. Kim opened up the frame, told me the paper materials were acid-​free and that the only thing that wasn’t up-​to-​date was the glass, as I suspected. Price to replace the glass was reasonable and I came back to pick it up in 30 minutes. The point being is that they could have charged me a ton to replace things I knew nothing about, but they are clearly an honest, helpful business. Will go to again for all future framing needs.

I have been living in Tacoma for the past three years and I would mail everything that needed framing to Georgia until I came to Tacoma Frame Makers. The owner has a great eye for her craft. The quality is incredible, the customer service is engaging, and the shop is clean with options to choose from.
All I want to do is drop my pictures off and just come back with a framed product. I like to trust my framers and allow them to do what they do.

This place rocks! I have had 11 pieces framed here over the last 2 years and I’m extremely pleased with all of them! The designers here are innovative and unique and worth every penny! :) The owner is clearly very passionate about transforming unfinished pieces into works of art that will last a lifetime! If you want cheap and average, go to Michael’s, if you want something special, spend a little extra, support a local business and go here! :)

Unhelpful and rude! The lady working at the counter wouldn’t even look up from her screen to answer any of the questions we had. When asked general questions about framing or prices she gave us a terrible attitude and refused service.
I will not return and will spread the word that this is a terrible business.

What a great independently owned shop! My husband bought me the most amazing gift (a historical document for his history loving wife) for our anniversary and I needed to frame it and in no way wanted to go the chain store route for something so important and meaningful.
We looked around and found this shop! We came in, a little apprehensive, as our budget wasn’t huge. The owner was so sweet and personable! She showed us where the frames in our budget were and helped us pick out an awesome combination that I never would have pulled/​picked on my own!
I, no joke, started to cry a little when I picked up the finished product (I hope I hid it well!) it looked amazing and better than I imagined. Can’t wait to hang this sucker up.

Not the cheapest or fastest but you certainly get your money and time’s worth. They are extremely friendly and helpful.
Won’t go anywhere else from this point. Can’t recommend this place enough.

If you need help picking a frame, look no further. This shop welcomes you like you are family and provides exceptional service. I was shocked at the premium quality after taking a photo of mine to be framed. Brace yourself to be amazed, you won’t be disappointed!

I brought the Frame Makers a concert poster from my daughter’s 1^st Wilco show and a home-​made frame. In return we received a beautiful work of art. They really went above and beyond. We couldn’t be any happier with the service and the result.

LOVE this shop! I needed to have a vintage frame repaired, add new glass and new backing and I needed it in a hurry for an install that day. The owner, Anna, and her team were amazing! They were professional, full of suggestions and had it ready so quickly I could barely believe it. I was able to hit my deadline with time to spare-​whew! The shop has a great selection of «to go» frames and it will be my source now for any professional framing needs. The service was warm and friendly and the shop has a great selection of frame styles and mats. If you need a frame or framing service– stop here first!
