It is easier to adopt a child, than to get a library card from this location. The staff, appear to be, the epitome of melancholy north westerners are extremely unhelpful and if you show up within half an hour of closing time, don’t expect them to be willing to help you at all. I was in there trying to pick up some books that my wife had on hold, but because I did not have her card, I could not pick up the books. I had the login username and password to her account that she gave me, and they still would not accept it and refused to let me pick up the books. In fact, It would’ve been much easier to check out books with the library card I found on 6th Avenue the other day. While that individual may have been pissed off, the library accepts this as more trusting and valid and«privacy protecting» than having your wife’s username and password. :) Either way, you’re going to get the standard run-of-the-mill employee who is not passionate about their job, but About getting off of work 10 minutes before the doors are supposed to close. Pretty disappointing in my(unable to check-out) book. At least I wasted time and gas.

This is somewhat a small library compared to the library in UP but it has a very good selection of books. It is organized well, has computers for research or personal use, and has a children’s area with giant bean bag chairs. It has a laid back feeling there that makes you feel comfortable. It does have some weird hours so make sure to check them out before coming.
