This place literally makes mystical candies. Seriously. Way better, more authentic, and hand crafted in micro batches. Sees Candy ain’t got NOTHING on Tease. I came across this company first at the Proctor farmers market in Spring, just a few weeks ago. The husband of the company was near out since it was the day before Valentines Day, but told me there was a store front. Since it was just another day out with me and my sisters we decided to stop and BOYAM I GLAD I DID. It was the day before Valentines Day and the display cases were filled with all sorts of different concoctions; java caramels, triangle shaped mousse truffles, white chocolate w pomegranate preserves, chocolate covered **real*** maraschino cherries, full sized chocolate bars, and even chocolate covered pretzels! Julie, the wife/owner/chocolatier, is extremely passionate. She is open to answering all questions and is super friendly. Upon me and my sisters’ trip, she welcomed us to try some whole sized truffle samples with light conversation. She interned at Theo’s chocolate factory in Seattle and has multiple different choco combos for every taste bud. Do not even get me started on the HUGE caramels.(cutting them in half w scissors while still in the plastic is A+) I saw people complain about the availability, but considering everything is done in micro batches(with them literally making them RIGHTTHERE in the back infront of you) it’s understandable stuff will run out at the end of the day to keep the quality! Come back a second time, become a regular, and be abit more understanding! Small businesses are not perfect, but their quality is worth trying it again! You’re only missing it out yourself Merrit~

I went in for milk chocolate items for a wedding gift. I understand it’s right before v-day so you may not have a lot of options. There were 2 pieces and when I asked if there were other possibilities I was told there may be some in the back. I ask what kind? I was told she didn’t know and that was it. I will not return here again.

I dropped by late in the day, so some items had sold out. They sounded delicious, so I’m sad I missed them! The owner was very friendly and gave me a sample of their ghost chili caramel. The mix of heat and sweet was great – and as someone who loves spicy foods, I’ll note these had a true kick. Prices reflect the fact that these are handmade, artisan products. Looking forward to trying more of their flavors in the future. They also have a wholesale business and attend the Proctor Farmers Market.

Ridiculously nice, generous owner. When I remarked that gin& tonic flavored things always disappoint me, she handed me an entire truffle just to get my opinion of it(and it was excellent, by the way. It doesn’t taste like a g&t, it just tastes really, really good. It would be a fun thing to bring out at a cheese and wine tasting, or dessert for a dinner party, for people to guess the flavors). We tried the goat cheese truffle(I bought a box, they are wonderful, $ 12 for 5 truffles: yes, that’s a lot, but it’s quality, local products) and she broke out a new bar of caramel salt chocolate for tasting. I am pretty sure that if I wanted a special flavour, they would make it the flavour of the day if I asked them to make it. It just seemed like that kind of place. The cocoa beans are from Portland and the gin was made in Seattle, they are working with Wingman to do beer truffles soon. And the soft caramels are fat and delicious, and currently $ 1 or 6 for $ 5. We tried the Salsa, but I brought home Maple Bacon. This isn’t a place where you sit and eat fancy chocolates at a table, but the Copper Door is right there if you want to pair some with wine. Very happy with this place!

The chocolate itself is pretty average but the owners go in some creative directions in mixing it with other ingredients. Good for chocoholics who are bored with what’s in the supermarket but be prepared to pay for it.
