I don’t think Laurie has any idea what goes on in her building. The problem is that she is never around so any problems that occur she hears about second hand, which can lead to taking the wrong side of the story. There are a lot of crazy tenants and there is drug use in the building. Everyone I knew at the Stillwater Apartment was planning on moving out when here lease was up. I suggest just renting elsewhere.

I honesty don’t know where to begin. We had nothing but crazy crazy neighbors in this building. You can hear everything though the walls. We had a family of crazies living next to us. They would smoke weed all day and night. The daughter would scream like a banshee. Anyway they finally moved out. So the owner then moved the manager next to us. Sounded like a great idea. But then new renters moved into the apartment below us. They would party play loud music. After coming home late from the bar on week nights. I never complained because I was so happy the other crazy family was finally gone. Then one day the gal that lived below us out of the blue. Accused my husband or I of running though my apartment screaming. During this time I was in my third trimester. Very sick also on bedrest. Fast forward a few weeks. This gal kept harassing us. Leaving notes on my door. I’m getting texts from the landlord Laurie. Saying«whats going on up there. This has to stop.» Completely accusing us of something we are not doing. Finally it got so bad. That the gal was pounding on my door at 6am. I opened the door to have this woman screaming in my face. While at this point my 9 day old is sleeping in the other room. I was also recovering from major surgery. I couldn’t run if I wanted to. Ended up calling the police. Things were clearly escalating. Tired to ask for the owner Laurie to help me so I could file a complaint at the court house. At this point my family and I were not safe. She completely ignored me never responded to my messages. So we ended up taking our family and moving out early. Had to pay double rent until they found another renter. End of the day the still water apartments lost great renters. I’m also sure the«running and screaming» still continued since it wasn’t us doing it.

STAYAWAY! Apartments are very nice and priced good for the area, except the windows don’t open and you have a view of a brick building or into another apartment that is less than 10 feet away. Your car is not safe in the«secure» garages, they are constantly being broken into. Maintenance talks about how apartments have bee broken into and master keys and garage remotes have been stolen. You can hear EVERYTHING in the surrounding apartments. The trash and recycling are always overflowing and the lights in the garages are always out so you can’t even see to get to the ghetto alley in the back. Don’t be surprised if you find drug addicts passed out in the alley or in front of the garage. The owner doesn’t follow fair housing or any other laws. Don’t expect any notice for the 5+ times a year she wants in your apartment to snoop around… I caught her on camera. You better have an email too, because the notices are only emailed so if you don’t check it she just expects to enter. She is just after money, don’t expect a deposit when you move out. As someone who has rented many apartments, this was the worse experience I have ever had, take my advice and stay away!

Great place to live at. Newer building. Pet-friendly. Secure parking garage. Excellent utilities package(cable TV, internet, water, sewer included in rent). Within walking distance to Wright Park, a small grocery store, Tacoma General Hospital, Downtown Tacoma, and even UW Tacoma(if you’re in for a light urban trek). Lauri is an attentive owner who invests a good amount of time and care into the building. Side-to-side noise is minimal, but floor and ceiling noise can be loud sometimes.
