Up until two and a half years ago I was a regular client here. My nails were always done by Lisa(the owner) and I had a good relationship with her. Alas, after a couple of years the service started slipping, I was passed off to new techs, they would stop working on me to fit in a drop-in, do a nail repair or wax someones eyebrows. The final straw was when they said I needed a new set and the tech(Lily) tore my nail bed in several places while prying off tbe acrylic. I was in tears, nail was bleeding and Lisa the owner didn’t step in. I actually refused to let them put the new set on. It had obviously hit the point that it was all about them not me, the customer. Now mind you, I tip well and had been a customer for several years at this point. But I was also tired of listening to them complain about otber customers behavior, being told that just how your nail grow, it will be fine, and we fix it next time. If you only need a polish change on short notice then they are the place to go but quite honestly haven’t regretted walking out the door just over two years ago. I find it interesting that so many people have had similar experiences since then.

This place is mediocre at best. Got an acrylic fill for $ 15. She did an okay job. Was a little less attentive to detail than I prefer; probably because she was on the phone the whole time. Prices are a little below average. Customer service was non existent. They’re not rude but they lack hospitality c ompletely. Place is very clean and neat. This is okay if you’re in a rush or forgot to make an appointment somewhere else.

I been here twice. Move from seattle searching for a good tech to do my nail. Came across Lisa the owner here. Price is reasonable and she did a good job. I will still go to my regular nail lady in Seattle when I’m in town. But as for now I’m ok with Lisa work.

No. No-no-no-n– NO! The tech here attempted to remove my fake nails with an interesting technique today… By RIPPINGTHEMOFF. Now, when I say ripping, I mean, literally– with no soaking or filing them thinner or Any-thing. She just came at these bad boys with a pair of cuticle nippers and a prayer, splitting the nail and cramming them between the acrylic and my nail bed… and It felt like torture, because it WAS. After she got my pinky nail off and began to tear away at the next one, I asked her«so you don’t file these down… at all before you take them off?» She looked at me– dead behind the eyes and replied«no». So why she even bothered to grab the grinder and buff off JUSTTHENAILPOLISH before going at it again… well, that’s a mystery I don’t care to solve. Needless to say, I got up and left, nails half removed/scuffed up and me, REALLY pissed off. THE only hilarious part of this story is, at the next salon I went to– when I was describing what had happened– without even MENTIONING where I had just come from, the girl sitting next to me said«Not that place on 38th st!?» No fu**ing joke. She had sat through the same thing. Except she didn’t leave. She just let these dorks pry her nails away. FORGET this place, and go somewhere else… Unless… You’re into this kind of thing.
