As of less than a year ago, this place opened. It’s a very lovely space with lots of Cherokee art ranging anywhere from $ 10 of prints or postcards to $ 12,000 of large paintings or handmade pottery. There was a wide variety of quality artwork available that really showcased the culture of Tahlequah as well as their Cherokee heritage. The Spider Gallery has a perfect location of being in central downtown on Muskogee, or as Tahlequaians say, Main Street. You can also find tools and supplies for many traditional art making mediums including basket weaving and pottery. The gallery opens up to a long corridor with bistro tables and two meeting rooms next door. You’ll definitely want to visit the Cherokee Art Center which is right around! The name«Spider Gallery» is taken from traditional Cherokee folklore.
