This review is for the hotel, Mother Natures Inn which is right behind the shop. Yes I would stay there again. The pros are location, clean, cozy and warm. Easy suggestions to improve would be invest in a cheap full length mirror you can attach to the outside bathroom door. It would help when getting ready especially in a room full of females. Invest in a few more lamps because the room is too dim especially at night(for both grooming and just to find things in your suitcase). While the room was extremely clean I did see some cobwebs right outside the bathroom in 2 corners. I loved the friendly and kind clerk from the store. And the bed sheets were very clean. The shower water pressure was awesome. It was a great stay and best of all it was not a generic chain hotel.

This review is for the hotel: Prices were better than anywhere else nearby. The rooms were comfortable and clean. I never met the staff because I arrived late and left early, but they left me a nice note on the whiteboard in my room. Also the hotel is within walking distance to a few eating and drinking establishments. It was very cold outside, but that’s not their fault. Their freezer froze my coconut water, but that’s also not their fault. Staying here is definitely a better option than sleeping in your car when it’s cold outside.

This is a review for Mother Nature’s Inn which doesn’t have its own Unilocal presence under motels. I found it on Trip Advisor and then found reviews for the motel under Cabin Fever by googling. I guess this helps keep it a secret place for those in the know. I’m glad we knew. The rooms are squeaky clean and cutely decorated in Cabin Fever style. The beds are comfy. The location is perfect, and the price is right. Highly recommend.

Walking into Cabin Fever is like being flash bombed with feathers, getting into a sword fight with cozy, or fighting of a fevered pack of plush snuggle bunnies. If you feel the need to be whacked upside the head with adorable down-home kitsch, then Cabin Fever is the place for you. Whether or not you actually OWN a cabin at the lake, this little store will make you believe you need to buy the reclaimed sign that reads«We love our cabin at the lake». The air in Cabin Fever is literally the vapor of hot apple cider. The rugs and throws feel like the fur of a freshly brushed collie puppy. Candles and soaps that will convince you that your bathtub is actually heaven. Yes, dear Unilocalers, Cabin Fever will make you believe that your happiness is just one Vintage Ski-town Sign away. And perhaps it is? This little store will undoubtedly have the random gift you didn’t know you were looking for for that one person in your life who has everything. Want a giclee of an artsy goat head? No? Don’t knock it til you see it! Cause… I did. North Lake Tahoe has plenty of little shops to entice your day to day visitor. But the special thing about this store is the feel. If you have the dough, then you could easily deck out your home with the best of mountain home décor here. But even if you just have a room in a little apartment in Reno, this little shop is sure to have something that will appeal to you. And more importantly, make you feel at home. Pro tip: Wear your snuggie to fend off the barrage of adorableness!!!

Location = 10⁄10. Breweries, cafés, restaurants, dog park behind, 2 minute walk to the beach, 10 minute walk to the river. Best. Rooms= 7.5÷10. Kinda cheesy but still cool. Would much rather go here than a motel chain. For the price 10⁄10 but just did a Ritz Carlton NYC trip and might be spoiled. I was a little nervous about dogs being in the room before us but we could not tell. No smell, no hair, super clean. Over all I think my favorite place for the price. Super cool to dogs, dog park behind, awesome staff. Love this place. Will be coming back for sure.

I have shopped here 3 times now and Im from Oregon. While their stuff is beautiful I see they don’t evolve much and get any new stuff in! Was a let down to drive all the way to this store from South Lake Tahoe to see same stuff that was there a few years ago!

What a great find in Tahoe City! The cleanest of the hotels I’ve stayed at there. No breakfast or hot tub — but Rosies is next door as is Fat Cat Café! Super nice staff. Easy to book and fantastic location

We have a vacation home in Tahoe and Cabin Fever is my «go to» store. They have anything and everything cabin/Tahoe related. The staff is very welcoming and pleasant. Their prices are very fair and in some cases, I felt like I got a real deal. The store is chock-a-block full of merchandise and you could spend hours looking at all the goodies. Very nice place!

Got out of town guests looking for Tahoe-inspired souvenirs for their home? Go here. Looking for anything with a bear, deer, tree branch or elk on it? Go here. Trying to find one of those fake«old-timey» signs with cutesy mountain /lake /cabin sayings on them? Go here.

Nice home furnishing place. Good options for bunk beds, art work, bedding, and various décor items. Thanks to one of the knowledgeable sales woman we bought a nice rustic bunk beds for our loft bedroom. We also bought a number of décor items, candleholders and other small stuff. Most of the items fall in a rustic mountain décor category If you are looking for a modern alpine furniture and more refine items — Alpine Home Furnishing store located a few block down at 700 N Lake Blvd would be another good choice. I also loved a new discovery just a few minutes west — Girasole. But that’s a separate review. Still Cabin Fever is a good source if you want to decorate your Tahoe home. Their sister store has a bigger furniture and mattresses show room.

This is actually a cute little rustic Inn behind Cabin Fever, the furniture store in north Lake Tahoe. The Inn rooms are animal themed and decorated with all the furniture you see in the store. It’s quaint, quiet and right in the center of Tahoe City. It’s also pet friendly! The best thing about Mother Nature’s Inn is that you are walking distance from everything you could possibly need — the lake, restaurants, shops, the cobblestone theater… and only a short drive to the ski mountains.

As far as the rate is concern, we can say that it’s not bad at all. The place is nice & clean with a cabin like style, so if you want a different scenery for a place to stay away from home, I would like to recommend this place. As saying, you get what you paid for. This is our first time here, actually I’ve just scene this place online and tried it because of it’s different aura and what can I say, «We have made the right choice»! I can recommend this to others especially our relatives & friends. Another thing is that, the lake is only in front of it or just across the street so we’re so happy about that. They also have parking lot, so we didn’t have any problem with the safety & security of our car. They also have this store that you can find furnitures that fits in your cabin. So, one of this days, you should drop by.

My husband and I were doing the Tahoe City tourist shopping thing this past week and fell in love with the rustic furniture in Cabin Fever. It’s our dream to own a cabin near Lake Tahoe or Donner Lake, and we’d come back here in a heartbeat to furnish it. Amazing prices on Sierra-themed furniture. We didn’t inspect the furniture too well, since we’re not really in the market, but the bed frames felt really thick and solid. Really tasteful furniture to deck out your cabin with. The artwork selection is good, too, but we felt the prices were too high. In fact, I found some of the same unframed items on eBay for hundreds less and it’s obviously not one-of-a-kind art — you’ll find copies up and down the street. Lovely store — do stop by, especially if you’re looking to furnish your cabin.

This is probably the largest of the mountain-themed furniture and home décor stores I came across in my exploration of Tahoe City and the surrounding environs — and my favorite. I was ready to ditch all of my furniture(well almost) in favor of the various pieces they have here. My favorite was one of those tables that could either double as a table that goes behind the couch or could be used as a sideboard or end table — it looked liked a wooden sled! Very richly stained and beautifully designed! One of the girls working the store asked if she could help me — my response was — I want the whole store — I’m gonna need a tractor trailer to haul out my loot!
