I have rented a house here with friends a couple of times, and really enjoy it because there is a beach, walking trails, heated pool, playground, tennis, and boat dock all within walking distance (in a gated community, but still!). It is also a fantastic location right between Tahoe City and the stateline.

San Francisco, CA
Chinquapin is a BEAUTIFUL, wooded, semi-​private community that has sandy beaches, numerous docks and a real community atmosphere. Although a few residents may seem a little snooty, most are really, really nice. They also have tennis courts, a pool and sauna for use by their guests and residents. Sizes and views vary, but whatever you rent or buy, you’ll have a really great time.
