We had an issue with our cooling system — fortunately right across the street from this Chevron station. Bill could not have been more helpful or provided better service. He found the part we needed and our vehicle was repaired(at a reasonable cost) when we returned from our float trip down the Truckee River — which starts right across the street at Truckee River Raft — also highly recommended.

We stopped into this station because we had experienced a flat tire and were driving on the«spare». We wanted our flat tire fixed. The attendant removed the tire from the rim, rather than fixing the nail hole as is usually done. Then he proceeded to tell us that our tire was«wrecked from the inside» and showed us some tire shavings. He said he didn’t have new tire in our size but an old one he would sell us if we desired. We did not desire that and left. Subsequently we went to Sierra Tire in Kings Beach and our flat tire was easily repaired for $ 20. Our almost new tire, was not«wrecked» at all. We believe the attendant just wanted to sell us some old tire and keep our nearly new one to sell to someone else. The employee at Sierra Tire was appalled that the Chevron employee had removed our tire from its rim and suggested that he could have damaged it in the process. We are going to make a report to the Better Business Bureau about this station. DONOT stop there

If the«Lady K» and I dont stop to get gas here before we hit I-80 back to SF we will run out of gas right before Sacramento. Please dont ask me how I know, I just do. I’ve never been inside as they have pay at the pump and like the Unilocaler below, they always work. Enjoy!

On the way out of Tahoe City en route to Reno, NV — we stopped to gas up the rental car at the Chevron Station. I pull in — a station employee walks up and informs me that we will have to wait 5 minutes or so as they had a a problem with the pumps and they were rebooting them. Wow — the pumps must be controlled by Windoze… So we pulled out and went next door to the Tahoe City Store and gave them our business — their gas pumps were up and running!
