I was not super-familiar with the West Shore, but I went a couple of times the past year and love it. One of the staples for some drinks is Chambers Landing. The water here has to be the best of the entire lake. Not a big fan of the Chambers Punch like some people, but they have a full bar, so there are plenty of drinks to choose from. I can’t overstate the beauty of the lake from this location.

Get one punch and you’ll swear it was witches brew. It’s a view you cannot beat and a beverage that will have you wanting more. Boat in or walk in, the pier is full of sun and smiling faces.

This hidden gem is worth a visit just for the view. The owner told us that it boasts one of two bars that face the water in all of Lake Tahoe. Although well marked from the main road, getting to the actual restaurant requires quite a walk down to the beach and around the bend behind the Chambers Landing community pool. Don’t be confused by the building on the pier, that’s just a bar, but worth seeing as well. The location is one of the best on the lake. The restaurant has an open-air, glorified picnic area feel; and patrons order their food at a kind of tiki-hut kiosk. The food was surprisingly good, however. We both had chicken sandwiches and home made potato chips. I ordered a lemonade that was very good as well. We really had a great time watching the water and chatting with a lawyer who told us a bit about the area. Go for the view. Be surprised by the food. Tell your friends with boats to take you back for a second visit in style!

This place is really fun as long as its not too crowded(aka Fourth of July the last 2 years). The punch, location, and scenery are all amazing. I took off one star because sometimes the owner/manager guy is not nice.

I was at Chambers Landing with a bachelorette party this past weekend and enjoyed their famous punch and the beautiful view. I ended up forgetting my jacket at the bar and didn’t realize until the next day that my credit card was in the pocket. I called right away to find out if the jacket had been turned in and Amber went out of her way to track it down and let me know that both the jacket and credit card were found. She then generously went to the post office on her own time to mail them back to me since I live in San Diego. She even texted me a picture of the tracking number slip! That’s what I call great customer service. I will definitely be going back next time I’m at Lake Tahoe. Thanks again Amber!

It was pretty tame — but then again we went the Saturday after the 4th of July… and it was cold. Chamber’s Punch was yummy and is probably pretty much the only reason to stop here.

We love Chambers for a punch on a sunny summer day. It is like a mango smoothly w a lot of rum. The food from the grill was not bad and ok prices for the area. Yummy homemade chips. Lovely views and pretty flowerbeds make this a great casual spot. Would wish they would have a dress code. A tiny bikini wandering around right by us is not appetizing while eating, either on the teenager or the middle age mom.

Beautiful setting, b*tchy red haired bartendress! My Caesar salad came out looking like it had sat in the sauna a half hour after an hour wait, and then it took another 10 minutes to get my side of dressing delivered. The kids in our party were so hungry they delivered us free chips! Yea-well not really. But back to the sour faced red headed bartendrrss. I normally love all redheads, truth be known, but this one certainly fancies herself a mother goose of sorts above the 20% tip I gave the first round of drinks. Second round I the only tip she deserved was being educated on the what the anacronym tip stands for: To Insure Performance So I gave her nada! :)

I love this bar. Chamber’s Punch, seating on the dock, dice, and gorgeous views of Tahoe… doesn’t get much better. It does get crowded, especially if you’re arriving via boat.

Rude, rude, rude! Definitely will not come back! We went a couple of hours before closing time and were treated like second-class citizens by every employee we came in contact with. The bartender was especially nasty. I don’t know if they just hate working there, or they just didn’t like us(I’m sure they are not used to seeing darker skin tones there very often) but the experience was awful. I thought they would have been nice since we were practically the only patrons there. The food was crap and they started sweeping and emptying out trashcans around us within like 10 minutes of receiving our food, which screams«hurry up and get the hell out». Let me remind you, it was 2 hours before closing time! A big thumbs down!

Chambers Landing is a Lake Tahoe institution. This is where people come to play during the summer months. I’ve been here in July(arguably their busiest season), and the beach and dock looked like spring break in Fort Lauderdale. The place was just back with young people(boating, swimming, drinking, etc.). I returned to Chambers recently(mid-June). I guess you could call this time the«quiet before the storm.» The beach was pretty much empty and quiet. The bar had just opened again to the public. I believe they close it during the winter months. My friends and I had biked here from Sunnyside in Tahoe City(a 40-minute, leisurely ride). We then stopped by Tahoma Market to pick up some sandwiches for a little picnic on the beach. You couldn’t have asked for a more perfect way to to spend the day. For dessert, we saddled up at the bar and ordered their famous Chambers Punch(made with 151 rum, fruit juice, and more rum). It’s like an alcoholic slushie! Warning: this drink is seriously potent. It certainly made my bike ride home a little more challenging. All in all, if you plan on visiting Tahoe during the non-ski season, Chambers is a must. One sip of the Chambers Punch will put you in a very happy, summer mood.

Amazing view, amazing bar seats. Just so stunning, we sat there for hours and didn’t want to move. Had some champagne and beer with the housemade chips. Excellent. The bartender, Amber, made us feel just at home. She seemed to know all of the regulars and their orders. Great place in Tahoe.

Super fun. Low maintenanced. GORGEOUS360 views. Perfect for a drinking break from a day of boating or jetskiing. Yes. get the punch. And yes, be patient about docking your boat. But other than that, an amazing time with friends!

The dock dudes are lame and the drinks are typical for a resort type place. You can’t go wrong with the punch of course. If you want to dock your boat make sure to stay from and center because you will get snaked in a second. The dock guys provide no help unless you are a regular and tip them awesome every time. Otherwise you are on your own.

We went back this year over the 4th of July weekend and it was an even bigger tool fest. The cops even came and physically removed someone. The punch wasn’t as good as I remembered either — and seemed not to be as strong. I“m little — so 2 drinks should be more than enough for me, but this time I was still completely sober — and now filled with calories. Yuck. To make matters worse, when we started to walk down the dock to get on the boat the owner practically jumped over the ledge and grabbed my drink from my hand! Seriously — I would have just taken one last sip and handed it to him if he’s asked, but he literally jumped on me. It was rude and awkward, and completely uncalled for.

From all the reviews, it looked like a blast. We love the beautiful lake views, hanging out in the sun, drinking cocktails and suntanning. The problem was almost every time we planned on going that week, it was closed. So I called ahead and they were open! We headed over after a nice picnic lunch on the beach with my guy. We arrived to a fun, party like vibe on the pier. People enjoying the sunshine outside at tables, people inside listening to the live music, boats pulling up and passengers getting off for a nice refreshment. Although they have a full bar, the drink suggested was the Chamber’s Punch. It was a slushy rum cocktail with a dark rum floater. Perfect for the weather in my opinion. We enjoyed a few of those while getting some sun. The pictures came out perfect, because it really was a perfect spot to enjoy the water and nice cocktails. Life is good!

It was an amazing day at chambers. The weather was redonkulous(yes this is a new word). The bar is surrounded on all side by water. If you’re looking for a chill place to relax with boats and drinks, this is the place for you. I was supremely impressed with the views and the friendly bartender. Overall a great experience, recommend you put this on the list of spots to check out. The food is super weak, I would recommend getting food elsewhere if you can do that. Bring burgers without ketchup, who are you?

This place is pretty cool. It gets a 4 star rating because its got an unrivaled location. The entire bar is over the water on a deck. This is plenty of space to stand around and mingle and pretty much everybody is in their bathing suit. Perfect place to day drink. The reason they got docked a star is because they only have one real bar and its in a small building. The problem with this lies in the fact that they limit the number of people into that building. Which means that if you finish your drink, and arent double fisting, you have to stand in line to wait. Other than that being a problem, this place is awesome. Definitely check it out.
