I’ve been coming here with my mom since I was a kid. While I wish the store was a bit larger, they certainly have everything you can possibly think of when it comes to Asian cuisine. For a small family-​owned business, Angkor Supermarket is pretty awesome and I highly recommend them for their selection of produce, meat and Asian baked goods and treats.

I have mixed feelings about this store. On one hand, it seems very authentic; it has all the Thai ingredients I want and well beyond. On the other hand, that authenticity also manifests itself in none the staff speaking English especially well, and in the store’s displaying many of their foods in ways I would imagine violate health or refrigeration codes.
With all that said, I consider it a great resource for produce and packaged food like fresh Thai herbs, curry paste, Asian eggplant, dried seafood, and bean thread.

Pretty good selection of Southeast Asian produce and dry goods. We found all the necessary ingredients, including fresh kaffir, lime leaves, red chillies, and lemongrass, to make authentic Thai Tom Yum soup. The staff were friendly and helpful. It’s great to have such a store near DC!
