So I would agree with most folks here and add that I’m not sure how fresh the food is… came in on NYE needing a quick bite to eat around 1:30…service was ok(as most have said it was a little slow and I get bummed they have no Parmesan cheese… but that night I was pretty sick… I recall seeing what looked like ice on the cartons of veggies, so I’m not sure how fresh things are… I should have listened to my gut at the time and just walked out… it’s disappointing since I like subway usually… and disappointing since TP focuses on health and freshness…

STAYAWAY. I came in one afternoon and the guy was extremely abrupt, nasty and obviously did not want to be bothered with my business, notwithstanding the fact that there were no other customers in the place and he appeared to be playing on his smart phone. I flat out told him I would not do business with that attitude and he did not even care that I did not place and order walked out. No apology whatsoever. If that guy was the owner, he obviously lacks business sense and will eventually shut down. If it was an employee trying to punish management by turning away business, he is really screwing himself out of a paycheck, unless he is a relative of the owner. I have been to many other Subways and had no issues whatsoever, even during the busiest hours. Again, save your time and money and go elsewhere.

What is up with the service? I think everyone so far is referring to the same employee, she’s simply rude. Seems to only be civil a select few people who walk in. I enjoy my order every time but in terms of service… THEWORST. No sandwich for you!

Do you like stale bread and slow service? Well this is the Subway you’ve been waiting for! Seriously, avoid this inconvenient and sub-par location. I almost always have good subway service and quality, but both are absent here. I went there three times to give them a chance, but every time I went, they used stale bread to save money, and didn’t even crack a smile. 2 times they were talking to friends and ignoring me as I stood there.

I like this location, especially since they have spinach but this location gets one star because the service is so bad that I leave annoyed each time. The main lady(possibly owner) that works there is one of the rudest people I’ve ever met. She actually acts as if you’re bothering her when she serves you and generally leaves the other worker to assist customers by themselves. It’s a shame because their ingredients are generally pretty fresh.

If zero stars were an option, that would be my rating! You’re better off walking further to Peter’s Sub Shop on Maple Ave.

The absolute worse Subway to ever grace the planet. This Subway is so bad they should pay me five dollars for consuming one of the poorly made foot-longs. We all know as far as real Sandwhiches go Subway is a far stretch, but there is one every 20 feet, and the service is passable for competence at most stores. Except this one! Avoid this on like a plague. Oh wait! The plague would be a better option!

Not a total disaster but they have a lot that they need to improve. Like the other reviewers here, I’ve waited at length several times and the customer service generally hovers between the employees tolerating the customers or acting annoyed by their presence. Don’t even think about trying to come in close to closing time, as they always shut down early. I went to order some sandwiches at 5:45 on a Sunday(with 15 minutes to spare) and nearly all of the food behind the counter had been put away. The two women working saw me, rolled their eyes and stared at me, kind of hoping that I’d just go away. I stuck with it and they made the sandwiches for me. Another customer came in at 5:55(the sign says they close at 6) and the woman working there told the customer to leave and that the store was closed. I showed her my phone, which said that it was 5:55. I said«your sign says you close at 6. why did you just tell that guy to leave?» she said they need to clean up before closing and can’t serve anyone, which was certainly a new take on the definition of closing time. Where I come from, you lock the door at closing time and THEN you clean up and put things away. That pretty much sums up this place. Worse than most Subways but not THE worst place, especially since quick/cheap dining options in Takoma Park can be scarce.

Yeah, it’s not the most efficient Subway, and at least one of the two employees is always talking on a cell phone.

i agree with everything Maggie said, they are SLOW there are two people working, a nd one sits on her cell phone and doesnt help, while the other one does all the work, its stupid. there was only a couple in front of us and we were in there probably 15 mins at least. i gave them another star because at least it looked clean, and it tasted ok, but as far as service and speed, dont come to this one.

The worst! It’s like walking into the Subway customer service forgot. One person on duty, barely knows how to make a sandwich, and impossible to get out the door in less than 20 minutes.
