Applebee’s

Ever gone to a restaurant and gotten a glass with lipstick? It happens… in fact, it happened to us this afternoon – not once, not twice, but SIX TIMES. Six glasses of wine, six filthy glasses. Do these people wash their dishes? Do they even bother to scrape them off???
After all of that, you’d probably expect the manager to comp the meal, or at the very least offer an abject apology, right? None of that for Devon, who gave us a breezy «I’ll look into it» and then wandered off. With that kind of «screw you» attitude you’d expect them to have a dismal cesspool of a restaurant, and you’d be right.

So My family and I went to the Applebee’s on Apalachee Parkway for lunch the other day and we were very surprised. From the hostess at the door to the servers to the food it was all absolutely awesome!!! I see the reviews here are not that great, I know its hard in the restaurant business to get great reviews. This particular meal was great. Keep up the good work.

Dirty dishes… wrong price charged… could not use gift cards as computer was down… not friendly

Wow, now that Gabby the bartender is gone it seems that all you get served here is drink mix. Where is the alcohol?

I’m giving two stars because our food was ok. Not great, not even good, just ok. If I were to rate it on price of a 2−4−1 beer it would be a –1! The waiter asked if we would like a 2−4−1 beer (in this case, a Bud Lite draft!) and we did. After dinner, when the bill arrived, we thought we might have gotten a craft beer — the price for our Bud Lite draft was $ 5.29. Now, I’m not a beer snob, but really! 5.29 for a Bud Lite draft? When is the last line you ever paid 5.29 for a Bud Lite draft??? EXACTLY, never! Probably won’t be going back here… Ever! Btw, the appetizer was very good!

We ordered desert here which was brownie and ice cream. They had no ice cream in the restaurant that was not melted — says a lot about the kitchen. The brownie sat on our table for 30 minutes while they were investigating.
The manager would not comp the desert, only take off part of it for ice cream, this felt wrong for several reasons: 1 — Restaurants do not bring you half of a meal with missing items and then charge you half, its full order or nothing. If I order a chicken salad you can’t bring me just the chicken and then charge me half because your kitchen is broken. 2 — The restaurant system isn’t a system where they bring items that weren’t ordered and sit them on the table, then charge you if they were eaten. 3 — I did not really want to debate this because the price of the brownie was less then 5% of the meal, yet the manager was pretty rude and smug about making sure we paid for it.

coming to this Applebee’s is like coming to an Applebee’s run by a perpetually uncaring high school teenager who can’t be bothered to look up from their texting to see super unhappy customers.
my grandmother came into town for a visit so my sister and I took her to this Applebee’s for dinner. it had two stars and that really should have been my first clue but I thought– hey. it’s Applebee’s. how bad can it really be?
pretty bad.
firstly, my sister is a vegetarian. she and I got house salads, she asked for no bacon and no egg. when they arrived, boom. bacon everywhere (to the waitress’s credit, she remembered the egg. hooray.) so she had to send it back.
strike one.
I start eating my salad. the thing is DRIPPING wet. like, not «clean just washed» wet. swimming pool with lettuce in it wet.
strike two.
our food finally arrives and the waitress whisks away. my grandma had specifically asked for no zucchini (older person diet restrictions.) guess what was all over her food?
strike three.
plot twist: my food wasn’t even my food. it was some random chicken dish. I tried for a good few minutes to get my waitress’s (or any waitress’s) attention as they gabbed and giggled at the hostess’s station, completely ignoring the restaurant. when one of them DID walk by, she was friendly enough, and took my food back.
fifteen minutes later, my grandmother and sister have finished their meals and mine was just arriving.
honestly. this place should have gotten one star, but just so you know I’m a good sport (I work food service, too, I know what should and shouldn’t be done) I give two whole stars.
one for the friendliness.
one for my main course which was delicious.
but not worth it. if you’re craving the bees, hit up the one off Thomasville. I will from now on.

I WILL NEVER EVER EVER EAT HERE AGAIN!!!
You know things aren’t working well when you are eye witness to a brawl between several other «customers». Granted, this is not necessarily Applebee’s fault, but when you have to call the cops to break up a fight, that doesn’t speak well of the establishment.
I’ve had many a meal at Applebee’s, and frankly I’m just tired of it. It’s always so loud you can’t hear yourself think, and the food is just one step above McDonalds. Sit down fast food is what I would classify it as. This restaurant is trying single-​handedly to do it’s best to contribute to the morbid obesity that currently infests our country. Fat, grease and always way too much salt. No wonder they pay surgeons so much money.

We had dinner here last night and they had some really good specials. It was super convenient that is was connected to the holiday Inn where we were staying and I didn’t have to actually drive somewhere for food. The waitress was very prompt and friendly, she didn’t bug me but still kept and eye on my table. The food was delicious and they had 2 for 1 drinks (which was great for my friend since I don’t drink) and for $ 35 plus tip, we both had dinner and a salad with a drink (not water) and he had 2 alcoholic beverages, that was a pretty good deal. Good choice.

Past three times we have been, the service was slow, the food was cold and the portions have gone down. I got a soup and salad combo, and my salad only took up half of the little kidney shaped dish and the salad dressing in a little cup took up the other half. I was very disappointed and will not be going back.

It’s your average applebees, but the service was quick, nice, and the food came out quickly. Also the overall place was clean. The manager brought us our food and kept on asking us if we were enjoying our meal. The service was very nice and the food was pretty good (for applebees lol!).
