Okay, the Filipino Festival was actually at Kleman Plaza right next door to Challenger. Great food, music, dancing and a wonderful fashion show. It was a great way to spend the day outside and the weather was beautiful. The band that played was awesome!

Compared to a big city museum, the Challenger Learning Center is small potatoes. That doesn’t mean it lacks in charm. When I first visited this place, I came on a special day of free back-to-back IMAX screenings. Loved it. I later checked out the planetarium(digital dome), which is something to be desired. I love space and learning, but the show was a bit slow for my taste. The visuals were cool and I learned a litt, e but the trippy music and dull narration prompted me to pop out and walk around the rest of the building. The mission control simulator for kids looks cool, and I was able to check out the rooms(upstairs and downstairs) which the similar is located. Looks like something fun for a class field trip. As an adult, the big fun comes from the full-size IMAX screen. I’ve seen 3DIMAX films here and it is impressive. Due to only one giant screen, they tend to rotate the blockbusters throughout the day and have a VERY tight schedule. The 3D films tend to be only shown a few times
