Our small men’s group has been having lunch once a month at Fanny’s for several years, so I speak from experience! The food has always been very good, and the service excellent. It’s a bit pricey, and only open for lunch, but we never complain, because we usually hang around for an hour-and-a-half(and do our best to tip the excellent servers generously). We also have treated our out-of-town guests to lunch at Fanny’s, which is located in an historic building on the site of Goodwood Plantation, within less than two miles from the heart of the city. It’s classic, charming, old Tallahassee. There is no deep fryer in this kitchen. Instead enjoy the special quiches, sandwiches, home made soups and side dishes. Fanny’s will undergo a major renovation in 2016, as part of over a decade’s restoration of all the original buildings on this historic site.

Great food and the most unique place to eat in Tallahassee. Like going back in time a century for lunch.

The food was simple and had a nostalgic homemade quality to it. Located on the Goodwood Gardens grounds, the setting was charming and beautiful. I ordered a grilled veggie sandwich with hummus spread and a side of potato salad for lunch and my fiancé ordered a chicken panini with a side of pasta salad. Both dishes arrived in a timely fashion and were accompanied by a deviled egg and pickled okra, which I found to be both delicious and containing the perfect bit of Southern panache! My sandwich was hearty, tasty and satisfying. My fiancé ate every bit of his without protest. The cost of our meal was not expensive at all, just around $ 20 for both of us! It was overall a lovely place to grab a bite, and would be especially great if you were looking to tour the grounds and museum after!

Came here to use my 2 for 1 wfsu membercard. Little hard to find and little creepy but amazing! Restaurant itself located on beautiful grounds surrounded by oak trees. Inside is decorated with paintings for sale. Has different rooms with dining tables in every room. I was greeted and seated. Waitress knew the menu and recommended different items. The food was next level. The cauliflower soup tastes like a home cooked Indian dish my mom makes. I ordered the fried BLT… best BLT I’ve ever had. Bacon perfect with the tomatoes battered and fried. Came with two sides… Homemade potato salad and deviled egg. Whoever cooked my meal could easily be my friend…

Super tasty southern lunch food. When my sister and I goo to lunch, we like to go here because her sons can run around on the lawn and not bother anyone, and we get to enjoy the old oaks and good looks of the place. I wish I had that fried green tomato blt in front of me right now.

One of my favorite places for lunch in Tallahassee! Located on the grounds of the Goodwood Museum & Gardens, the atmosphere is fantastic. The house that has the café is fresh and cool inside without sacrificing the fact it’s an old house repurposed. I have never had a bad meal there — I like the quiche which changes every time I am there and the sandwiches are always fresh and large — more than enough for lunch and then some! Service is always quick and friendly and the prices are very reasonable.
