Not the greatest place in town. Greens are roughed up. Fairways and tee boxes are in great shape. The price and condition of putting greens don’t equal out. Driving range is iron only and downward slope so distances are hard to judge. The restaurant is small snack shop but does serve liquor. It’s hard for me to give this place 3 stars because I love the course layout but greens and price… def equal 3 stars…

Nice local public course. Well maintained, well kept. Small club house and bar area. Small driving range. Reason for rating so low is that hole layouts are bad. You have other players playing off different holes fairways. Two of the holes even use the same tee box! But overall good value for your money

As a municipal course, Hilaman is both affordable and enjoyable. They typically run $ 10 cart fees & $ 10 green fees on Wednesdays, which makes for a cheap weekday round. The downside to the affordability is that you get a lot of people playing in jeans & t-shirts, paying little attention to basic rules of etiquette. The renovations and improvements done in the offseason have definitely improved the course and clubhouse facilities. The greens feel faster(still not as quick as Seminole) and more consistent in speed. The new deck at the clubhouse is also a nice addition. I’m anxious to see how the improvements hold up throughout the season. Bottom line: I wouldn’t rely on Hilaman to be my primary course, but it’s challenging enough, mostly due to its narrow designs, to keep me playing every once in a while.

A different course compared to the FSU golf course for a change. Prices aren’t bad and it’s closer for those in the Tallahassee area.
