One of the nastiest hotels I’ve stayed in for quite a while. Cheap, worn out, dirty. Motel 6 might be an upgrade. Can’t believe Wyndham hotels would have anything to do with this place. Glad it’s only one night.

The worst hotel I have ever been too. We literally got there went to the room and the room smelled like someone died. There was hole on the floor. I checked the bed for bed bugs. We told the front desk and she showed us another room and the same thing. That we decided to just cancel and leave. Really shocked that this a Wyndham hotel. DON’T GOTHERE!!!

Good location and good rates. If you’re looking for a hotel right off of I-10 with travel times to downtown Tallahassee or FSU within five minutes, them this is a good location. Prices are also good and they don’t overprice during FSU home football games. Rooms are small, hence the hotel name, and there aren’t many amenities, not that you’d be looking for them or need them. Overall, I would recommend this place.

Grossest hotel I have EVER stayed in. I actually checked for bed bugs. I can’t believe #Wyndham put their name on this place

Okay, the motel itself is a little bit run down in places, but it’s not new, after all. Our room was clean, quite large and the bed was very comfortable. The room we were in, a suite, was quiet and did not have ANY of those funny ‘off’ smells that can ruin a night. The shower had a limited, but adequate, amount of water available and that was probably the only negative that we ran into. The breakfast, which I did, admittedly, not try, looked adequate, but the coffee was VERY good. At the price we paid the Microtel was a great value, and I would probably pull in again

Stayed here last year when taking my daughter to FSU and was pretty satisfied with the room and hotel. Went back this year 8÷13−8÷15÷13 and will not be going back. When we checked in we noticed there were very few cars in the parking lot at 8 pm. We went to our room and it was hot and stuffy. They did not have the courtesy or common sense to turn the air on for us. We had made our reservations a week prior. I went to turn the ac on and notice the plastic housing was broken and filthy and the ac did not work. I went to the desk and informed the attendant and he said he would give me another room. He actually took me to 2 rooms for my approval which was good but I was tired and just wanted to go to bed. In the morning I went to the front desk to have a fax sent and was informed there fax was not working because of low toner error. I asked if she tried to take the toner cartridge out and put it back in and she said the manager would have to do that but she was not sure when he was going to be in. No problem I would send it later. The next morning I was told the fax was still not working, what a joke. I noticed the general condition of the hotel was not as good as it was last year. In the bathroom in 120 above the shower it looked like mold on the ceiling. The general feeling in the hotel was worn. I will be looking for another hotel for my next 6 years of visiting my daughters. I noticed the musty smell also. After reading the other reviewers about the shootings I will definately find an alternative.

I booked a room at the Microtel through . I saw that the ratings were not too shabby(on Expedia) so I went ahead and booked it before reading the reviews on Unilocal. The room was very very cheap, so pretty much I figured why not? I only needed a place to sleep for the night, not to hang out and enjoy the amenities. The gentleman that worked the front desk was super nice, sincere and friendly. I felt welcomed when he first checked us into the hotel. You do get what you pay for, so I knew I shouldn’t be expecting much. The room was very small, but had a desk, a dresser and a flat panel TV in it. You also get free wifi, so that is a plus. There were large mirrors above the bed, so it gave the room the illusion that it was bigger than it was. The room wasn’t dirty but it also wasn’t amazingly clean either. It looked like there was a small period stain on the bed sheets that were washed off but there was still a hint of a spot where it’s yellow’ish. I placed another layer of sheets in between me and that unknown discolored spot. In the morning, there is a complimentary continental breakfast. Be warned, you will have people hovering over the waffle maker for a while if there is a family all wanting waffles. I went ahead and got a bagel and cream cheese. Nothing too special, but how can you complain about a free breakfast? Overall, my $ 52/night room was better than I expected. The other Unilocal reviews on this hotel is unfortunate. Sounds like bad timing. But my experience wasn’t bad at all. Decent for the price. But if you can afford it, get a fancy pansy hotel downtown Tally.

Don’t do it. I don’t care how cheap the rooms are, don’t do it. We were checking in at the same time as Jon H(below) and were there when the first police cars arrived. You would think that SOMEONE would have posted a review that this place is not safe.

Sorry for my run on bad reviews. I booked a room for Friday, November 16, 2012. The pictures on their site looked okay. Well, we never got to stay. We pulled up to the hotel which had a parking lot full of police cars. Apparently someone had been shot. I walked in to cancel our reservation and spoke to the clerk who announced that I’d be the last person she’d help as she was quitting. I could understand her desire to leave considering what she’d been through. Unfortunately I didn’t know the half of it. This was the EIGHTH shooting at the hotel since she worked there. Needless to say, I don’t recommend it.
