This is a great lunch spot in Tallahassee. Especially if you’re trying to meet somebody for work or to catch up, they have a great selection of salads, soups, sandwiches, and even pizza! My go-to is always a salad, either the Newk’s Favorite or the Ultimate, but every once in a while I’ll get one of the pizzas. Be sure to stop by the toppings bar for your salads and pizzas. This place gets pretty packed but the great thing is people are always leaving and there’s plenty of seating. It’s pretty reasonably priced so you can’t go wrong with eating at Newk’s.

Best place for a reasonably priced lunch. Try the chicken salad sandwich for instant happiness.

Very comfortable. Usually very busy during mealtimes. Usually have The Italian sandwich, but today I decided to try the chicken salad salad. The chicken salad was very good. The salad is huge. I just kept eating and it didn’t seem like I made a dent. Very creative menu with lots of creative soup, salad, sandwich and pizza choices.

Food is always good here. The corn & crab chowder soup was delicious! Just the right amount of kick to it. Satisfying portion. The turkey & cheese sandwich was right on target and the French bread was toasted to perfection. Tasty and fresh for less than $ 9, it’s an awesome deal!

Mmmmmmmmm. Lobster Bisque. The lobster bisque was very good. It was also very filling. I loved the cart in the middle with all of the toppings and breadsticks. I will definitely be back to try more. Service was great. All around it was a great experience. That is why I feel compelled to create art. A haiku: Lobster bisque tastes great toppings cart a stellar plan You will be a fan

I wish we had one where we live in Chattanooga. We miss getting to eat here like we often did when we lived here. The chicken salad salad was awesome and I’d love to be able to eat these every couple of weeks or so. The kids enjoyed their meals and my wife loved her half vegetarian sandwich and soup. I would have given five stars had they not made my daughter wait 10 – 15 minutes longer for her food than the rest of us. When I went to ask the girl at the counter what the deal was, she just asked my order number and walked away before I could even retrieve the receipt from my wallet to give her the number. That’s when I noticed her coworker walking out with my daughters meal.

This location sits in the Village Square Shopping Plaza on the end across from Applebee’s. There is plenty of parking. Even though the restaurant was super crowded I had no issues finding a parking spot. The first thing I noticed was the outside patio to the side of the restaurant, as me and my son love sitting outside to eat when the weather is nice. They also have a few tables in the front. When you walk in the menu is to your left. And, seriously, EVERYTHING sounded good! I finally settled on the sausage and pepperoni pizza and my son got the spicy shrimp pizza, both 10 inch crusts, and a slice of their caramel cake, which was free. You order, they give you a number card and you place it in your tables card holder and they bring you your food. As I said before, it was super crowded a little after 1:00 but our food still came out very quickly. The pizza had a thin and flaky crust that was delicious! I tried both as did my son and we loved them both. I even had leftovers to bring home. The caramel cake was moist and not too overly sweet. I would definitely order both again. The workers were very friendly and even when I walked in to get to go boxes for the leftovers I assumed I had that confused look on my face as a worker asked if he could help me. The to go boxes are in the middle of the restaurant for you to grab yourself. The food was wonderful! Lots of seating inside with outside seating too and I love the family atmosphere. Great prices as well. We will definitely be back to try more of the menu. Tip: sign up with them online and they will send you an email for a free slice of cake. Just show it on your phone when you order inside.

Food is good and I’ve used them for catering in multiple cities BUT today will be my LAST time. The website says you can pick up catering at 10:30 which should NOT be an option. When I walked in at 10:30 today I was told they had just started working on my large order! I’ve given them 3 chances and NONE of my orders were on time but were all 15−20min LATE. Never again.

Good, fresh, and fast. That’s Newk’s. Great place for lunch. Great salads, soup, pizza, etc. I’ve probably been there 5 or 6 times, and it’s always been good. I noticed that they also have beer. Not sure why, but they do.

This is a great place to sit, chat, and have a great meal. Newk’s has a wide variety of soups, salads, and sandwiches. This place has a great atmosphere and great for families. I highly recommended this for late morning\lunch.

Love Newk’s! Such a diverse and great menu that it’s difficult to choose. Also, who doesn’t love a pickle bar? I honestly can’t remember what sandwich and soup I got, just that it was awesome. This place is kind of like a Panera bread/McAllister’s Deli, both of which I love. I hate I don’t live closer to Tallahassee, because I’d definitely do lunch here several times a month. Great place, please try if you haven’t!

We were SO impressed by the pizza at Newk’s… Definitely among the best we’ve tried anywhere. I had the veggie pizza(minus peppers since they are not my thing) and it was AMAZING! My husband had the deluxe and was raving about it. Even the kiddos were raving about their cheese pizza. We still talk about it and we ate there a few months ago on a short trip from Orlando to Tallahassee. If you are in the mood for pizza, definitely give this place a try. They seem to make many other things well(base on reviews), but we only tried their pizza. It IS a little pricier than other places, but it really was worth it!

I have been 3 times and each time iv had a different sandwich, all of which had fresh flavors and high quality products. Only issue I find with the sandwiches, I’m still hungry! Iv tried the turkey, grilled chicken, and roast beef all of them seem to be lacking meat… i do enjoy going because the staff is all smiles and seem to be full of energy, which makes for a great atmosphere but can’t afford to leave half full.

Great Ceasar salad, and they are HUGE! Pizza is also delicious. Great place for lunch or whenever you want great food, but don’t have to be dressed up. Our go to place for something everyone loves. A little costly, but so worth it for freshness and great taste.

A fresher, more expensive take on the upscale sandwich shop, a la Panera of old. The restaurant is clean and the staff was super friendly, offering menu suggestions and smiling even when I had to ask for side options — twice! I ordered a half Newks Q(chicken, bacon and cheese on a French roll) with a Caesar salad– it was delicious, though I thought it odd that the sandwich was way smaller than my «side» salad. My husband had the half shrimp po boy with a half order of Pimiento and Bacon Mac ‘n cheese. The pasta was excellent — if we come back, I will probably order that and that alone– but boiled shrimp on a po boy seemed odd(we are used to fried). With one drink, our total was $ 21 for two people. Overall, everything was fresh and delicious, but we wish the portions were a little bigger and the prices a little lower.

Love the food, we come here almost every week. Generally the staff is very friendly but every few times the cashiers are terrible! Don’t even greet you, just look at you and wait for you to order. Hanging over the register like they’re gonna fall asleep… Just disappointing and kills the experience. I am the one who has to say«have a nice day» and I don’t even get a response after that. I’ll always come to this place but I thought the managers might want to be aware that some employees need a friendly boost in customer service :)

We hit this place on our way through town. Our usual strategy is to stop at the Starbucks right off 95, then try to guess at where to grab something quick. We saw Newk’s on Unilocal and decided to take a chance. I’m really glad we did. The food was very good, the staff extremely friendly(the manager came to our table to tell us that they overcharged us and would refund the mistake), and very kid-friendly. We will definitely stop again on our next time through town… and we might even hit the Newk’s near our home.

First time dining at Newks… very good! Cobb salad was huge and delicious… loved the green onions on the salad. Had a side of mac n cheese… yummy! Last… strawberry cake was comparable to a cake made by my mom(don’t tell her). Will be back to try some other menu items soon.

For a chain, their salads and sandwiches are really great. I go with my wife and kids and have enjoyed their salads, sandwiches. My kids enjoy their kid pizzas and mac-n-cheese options.
