Sure… You could be the one who diligently monitors your pool chemicals daily, samples the water condition yourself, and goes and buys the chemicals for less — elsewhere. That’s not me. There just isn’t enough time for it and — frankly — it’s not worth it. I used to be that guy, using the blue kit with the tester vials — 15 years ago. I remember going to big-box stores and getting the chemicals and saving 10−15%. Just isn’t worth it to me. What IS worth it is that the few times we’ve had problems with our pool, the guys at Pinch-a-Penny(most notably Devin) have given us swift resolution at a fair price.(It’s true, our cell went bad after a mere 18 months of service and DID cost $ 700 to replace, but we shopped around and there were no considerable savings elsewhere). It’s not just pool supplies — Pinch-a-Penny OWNS the back deck in general, with furniture, etc… They also offer The Green Egg line(I’ll never convert, as I am a die-hard Weber 22.5″ Kettle believer) which appeals to many.
