Publix

This Publix is very convenient to my house and office. The employees are always very friendly and I’ve been able to find everything I need. Tons of parking but this place does get packed during peak hours.

When I’m not at «My» Publix (Blairstone & Park), I’m usually at this one. It’s by my business mailbox and on a daily path to/​from kids’ school.
Great produce — very well lit. Architecturally, this one is unique as I don’t know of many others with such volumes of natural light coming in. Next time you’re there, check out the skylights at the western roofline.
Anyway — good Greenwise selection, very wide expanse at the front. Pleasant café area that, at times, doubles as a haven for some in our diverse and welcoming community.
The deli is always busy — the cheese selection is on par with the rest of the big-​box publixs in town.
If you’re feeding the duckies (yes, I know, the placards all over Lake Ella urge us to refrain from this), then this is your go-​to for a big olé’ loaf of Publix bread.

Great customer service, okay-​ish prices,
and good merchandise. Went in today to get a sub from the deli, and I guess 20 other people had the same idea. However, the wait wasn’t super long because of the full staff working hard to complete everyone orders as quickly as possible. Good overall experience.

Publix is generally a five star experience, but this specific Publix is quite terrible at restocking items in a timely manner, so much so that I’ve had to reach out to corporate to let them know items have been gone for nearly a week.
This is a very large Publix which stocks pretty much everything. They have a decent selection of organic products here and a full stock of Quest Bars, which hardly any Publixes have!
The service here is generally pretty friendly but sometimes I feel as if I am bothering the staff when they send me through the checkout line.
This location seems to always be busy. On Sunday’s it’s packed, but they also do some good free samples on the weekends which is always a great surprise! Who doesn’t love free food?
All in all, Publix is still my #1.

There is an ok selection here. I had the misfortune of moving to Tallahassee from NY state, home of Wegmans, which makes all other grocery chains look like amateurs.
That aside, there are specific things that make shopping here definitely NOT a pleasure. (1) too much plastic — all the trays for produce, and all the plastic bags with which baggers want to bathe your purchases and (2) checkout staff — why on earth put slow people on ‘express’ lanes? And some of the older folks are way too nosy about what you buy!

Here and there I change up the publix I go to for different reasons. Popped into this one because we were looking for apartment possibilities nearby. That and I wanted seafood and this publix has a better selection of seafood than the one on ocala that we usually go to. Another good thing here is there is plenty of parking, you can drop off and pick up your dry cleaning next door, and that the shelves are usually stocked (unlike at ocala because so many more students/​ppl shop there so a lot of times when something is on sale, its ran out on the shelves and they haven’t restocked it yet), and because the shelves are usually stocked meaning less people shop here (or maybe just more employees?) it also means it is quieter also (which people who are like me may like more)…anddddd :Drumroll:…no lines for checkout! lol.
Overall, its more like a normal publix than a college publix (aka club pub) which older people might like.

Great Publix. Clean. Nice people. In a great shopping center with nice surrounding shops. Deli is pretty good.

It’s around the corner, great produce, and I’m in love with their subs.

I only ever shop here as a tourist, but they seem to have a very good selection of the things I need. They also have a rather large rest room conveniently located along the back wall of the store.
The beer selection is very nice for a regular grocery store and I appreciate that!

The Lake Ella Plaza Publix.
I love this grocery store. I’ve been the primary shopper for a family of 6 for 25 years, and finding a great grocery store is worth a hundred great restaurants.
The staff is super friendly. Shop there as often as I do and maybe they’ll learn your name, too. The store is bright and airy. I love the sky lights. The produce is fresh and varied and there’s a good assortment of organic produce. The meats and seafood have never let me down. Get there before 5 and you can probably have sushi made to order. You can order Crispers sandwiches, soups and salads at the deli. You can get a beautiful floral arrangement and even order flowers for weddings or the prom. Ask the crew at the bakery for pizza dough and you can make your own pizzas at home. The staff at the pharmacy are just too wonderful!
Now for the best part — the Publix Apron Meals. Many afternoons you will find Sadie or Gloria (I think that’s her name) demoing a fantastic recipe. Right next to the demo kitchen are shelves with all the ingredients for the weekly featured recipes. One stop shopping for a fast, easy and fantastic meal. These meals have changed the way I’ve cooked. Some of the recipes have become instant family favorites.
The Lake Ella Publix loses a point for being so popular that often the parking lot and the store are packed!
Way to go Publix! You’ve made shopping here a pleasure!
