Ate there on 06−17−16 at 7pm. Food was old. Chicken and ham had been on the buffet so long that it was dried up and horrible tasting. Mashed potatoes had been on the buffet so long that they were turning brown. The vegetables, green beans, fried green tomatoes had been on the buffet so long that they were complete mush. I took a bite of a pork chop that was in a gravy and it tasted funny. After getting home I started feeling sick. I think some of the food might have been bad. I don’t recommend eating there, you risk food poisoning. Here it is the next day and my stomach still hurts with frequent trips to the bathroom.

$ 6 for a simple breakfast with coffee. Note: the city is working on the parking lot. Tell them hurry up so everybody can try this. A no frills place, eggs cooked like I ordered, sausage a little spicy(yum!). Servers don’t hover, but you get plenty of service. Even a coffee refill to go. The only thing I’d change is get two butters for your biscuit. Hash browns have a crunchy outside and tender inside. Great value. Lots of regulars make it feel homey. Make sure you tip well since prices are so great.

Why bother with breakfast from McDonald’s when you can go to this gem of a diner and get breakfast for $ 2?!? I ordered the Savannah cakes and bacon. The Savannah cakes were thick and fluffy and the bacon crisp. I was in and out of there in less than a half hour. I plan on coming back one day and checking out their buffet.

I love this place. The people are friendly and the food is great. The buffet is second to none and the $ 2 breakfast is just as it sounds, no gimmicks. I highly suggest it to anyone in Tallahassee or Wakulla.

$ 2… That’s it! Where else in Tallahassee, can you get a great tasting breakfast for 2 bucks? For breakfast, their $ 2 breakfast consist of 2 pancakes and 2 pieces of bacon. But let’s talk about their buffet lunch. From what I can see, it looks very tasty. I have not tried it yet but I will be soon.

Great food for great price. It’s Tallahassee home of the $ 2 breakfast. My husband and I paid about $ 12 for a breakfast this morning and we left there full. I highly recommend!

Get a note from your cardiologist and dig in. I’ve never had the $ 2 breakfast, but the lunch buffet is exactly what you would expect from a place with a $ 2 breakfast: Fried chicken, Fried pork chops, collards, black eyed peas, and much much more. If you’re not into greasy spoon or if you’re not hipster enough to enjoy this place with a little irony, then stay away and let the rest of us dig in.

What a great find! This place is very close to the Turnbull Center and the Residence Inn. It’s very bright and clean. We went there on a Wednesday morning and had the $ 2 special with coffee. The coffee was very good and the service was friendly and fast. My eggs over medium were perfect. It was a very solid meal for a ridiculous price. This is my new go-to breakfast spot when I’m in Tally!

The old, dumpy diner(yes I’ll admit it) fills you up on power hungry meals that come very inexpensive to you. C’mon now, it even states«Home of the $ 2 Breakfast» on the sign. I’m a breakfast guy, so I’ll jump at the gun when I hear the phrase $ 2 breakfast in the same sentence. Your choices are either«eggs your way, grits and toast» or «pancakes and bacon.» The customers receive quality food not from a cheap greaseball spoon, but rather simple and tasty cooking. SPOILER: THEREAREADDITIONALITEMSONTHEMENU. NOTLIMITEDTOTWODOLLAROFFERINGS. BREAKFASTSANDWICHESANDPLATTERSCATERTOANYONE’S PREFERENCESHERE. And then the buffet. I don’t frequent buffets as much as I used to, but I recommend Savannah’s at least once. The southern cuisine cook-off has savory and delicious grub. The fried chicken is on-point and the sides are everything you desire from southern country cooking. Abundantly friendly servers tie the experience together. Come hungry and put some south in your mouth.

I understand lunch is good, but I only know breakfast. A contender for top-value breakfast in town(today’s breakfast and coffee(see picture) was $ 7.74), this Gaines street restaurant undercuts any other breakfast place in town by a long shot. Clean, well lit, courteous, fast, and orderly. I’ll come back for certain.

Good old fashioned southern throwdown. Our waitress was«Bobbi» and she was as sweet as pie. Very fun service and the food hit the spot. Fantastic!

Wow. You can’t beat the $ 2.00 breakfast my poached eggs were perfect. I like them soft and rarely can get them that way. Husband splurged and had great link sausage and eggs. Defiantly would return.

A perfect greasy spoon, good food, great service and the prices are great. The 2 dollar breakfast is so good grits, toast and two eggs. Everything else is good to and a great homestyle lunch buffet. I will return!
