Totally agree with the other review. Do not shop here. There’s a radio shack in the same mall. I’d go there first.

This is for the store inside Governors Square Mall **bad exchange policies — buyer beware** If you purchase something, even for a gift, don’t open the box. Should that item be the wrong fit, wrong size, faulty parts, whatever, they consider an open box as a «used item»(from what was told to my face). Background info before the issues I had with the staff. Purchased a $ 30 dash mount for my Samsung Note 2(with vent clip, window suction cup, and dash suction base) so I could use the GPS function(rather than update my old/outdated GPS unit). Took it back where I worked and put it in a center vent. Found that location wouldn’t be good so I moved it to the other center passenger side vent. When removing it out of the first one though, a piece of the clip snapped off in my vent. I’ve had clip mounted things before and never had this type of problem so I put it off to be a faulty component/weakened plastic part. I was ticked but still willing to give the mount a try with the suction cup on the glass since I’ve never had a problem with my GPS using the window suction cup(had it for years!). So when i get ready to leave for the day, I mount it on the glass to test it out, put in my phone, and don’t even make it out of the driveway when it dropped off the window. I have no desire to use the dash mount because I don’t want to put something sticky on the finish of my dash. It’s very apparent this item is just purely defective in more ways than one. I had the receipt and saw the return for exchange(no refunds), so thought, great. Let me switch it with another one that isn’t defective — though a different brand because I certainly don’t trust this one. There was at least one other the same price, and a third I think was a little less, but I would have picked up a case for my son’s samsung galaxy S3 since he needed one. I live across town and don’t get to the mall but once every so often, but was well within the time limit(30 days). Had the box in my back seat with the receipt inside waiting for when I was over there next. The first lady I explained the situation to was very nice but not sure if she was new or just geared to send all return issues to this other lady I had to speak with. That second one acted as if she couldn’t care less. She told me they won’t exchange any«used» equipment. I said it’s not«used» — for one, the part was faulty, for two I boxed it right up when it fell from the glass because the suction cup failed. The mount was literally boxed up the very same day of purchase. It couldn’t even BE used to be considered as «used». Then she pointed out that the sale was around three weeks ago(actually made a big deal out of that — I assume to imply that I used it for 3 weeks? I’d like to know how I could have…). I replied yes, because I don’t live near the mall. THEN to top it off she pointed out that I was returning a broken item. Seriously? Yea — because I was sold a defective item. This is nuts. I asked how in the world was anyone expected to even«try» something without opening the box. She stated that makes it used and it states on the receipt they won’t take used items. Her only response is «hey I don’t make the rules». I understand the«used» policy — had I purchased a case, holder, etc and actively used it for up to a month where the item actually shows signs of wear and tear, but this unit was faulty to begin with. Like I said, this thing couldn’t even BE used. The suction cup won’t hold, the clip busted immediately. I was not looking for a refund. I said straight out that I needed to EXCHANGE this for one that actually works as it should. It’s very apparent she was not willing to even discuss the situation and simply told me if I didn’t like it, then I can take it up with the owner. I said forget it — that I’ll simply try to work with the manufacturer, and voice my opinion in reviews and make sure others know to only purchase from this store if they fully understand the moment the box is opened, it’s considered«used» and cannot be exchanged. Lesson learned — and this is one store I will recommend people stay FAR away from. You will get better return/exchange policies from purchasing online through Amazon.
