We can NOT recommend this DJ service( ) to anyone. The owner George Gerez was horrendous to deal with. The DJ played good music BUTANNOUNCEDTHEWRONGNAMESREPEATEDLY??? It felt like we were being pranked the entire night. Before the wedding: Our relationship with«Boogie Man George» and his company started off positively. He was informative and, despite him attempting to expand our budget, was quite knowledgeable and friendly. We worked out a deal to hire one of his DJ’s and not him personally due to budget constraints. Also, since our venue(Briza on the Bay — highly recommended) was fully equipped with audio equipment, they would only need to bring their mixing table. After signing the contract, things went down hill. We provided a timeline, preferences, and mp3’s for various tracks two months before the wedding. One month before the wedding we attempted to speak with George to ensure he had everything he needed and we were good to go. After numerous calls and emails, he finally replied stating all was good. 3DAYS before the wedding George sent us an email stating that we did not send him our special songs as mp3’s. We called him immediately to clarify the issue and resend if needed. He began to tell us that we needed to send him the mp3’s for various genre’s we wanted(reggae, latin, soca; ie. supply the music to be played at our wedding). After a long discussion, he finally agreed that he had all the music on hand and no longer needed more from us. To end the conversation, George stated that he would bring all of his own equipment to the venue including 2 speakers stating the venue told him to use his own equipment. We promptly called the venue who stated that this was all false, and they only needed to bring turntables/mixing gear — everything else was provided(keep in mind that this venue is fully outfitted with a full audio system including subwoofers and monitors). We were also informed that George was quite rude and condescending to our venue vendor. Not willing to back down from George we told him this was in our original contract and that he must comply to which he conceded. It’s a good thing we don’t stress much as this could have caused panic for most couples. During the reception: The announcements started. Besides stating all the names out of sequence, DJ Bill announced the wrong names for the bride and groom. He announced my name and then my husband’s best man’s name!!! Whenever announcing the groom’s name he was not able to recall it and would search his notes for 30 seconds to remind himself. When announcing the mother/son dance he announced the mother’s name and the bride’s father’s name? How do you even make these mistakes? We asked him to announce that our dessert table, which was in addition to our wedding cake for 120 people, he stated«Hey everyone, i know the cake looks too small but they have a little dessert table too that’s now open». The only saving grace was that the music was actually pretty decent. We have no complaints on that side of things. The entire night seemed like someone was pranking us. Luckily we are a very easy going couple or it could have ruined our night. We could never recommend this service to anyone
