Hampton Inn

Fairly good Hampton Inn. Room was clean and large. Fitness cetner was smallish but had some decent equipment.
Front desk service was a bit slow.

I can always count on the Hampton Inn for a reasonably priced room for business travel.
Pros:
* Front desk staff members were terrific
* Beds, sheets, towels and room felt very clean
* Quiet
* Security on site
* Free breakfast w/​24 hour coffee
* Krispy Kreme within 50 yards of hotel
Cons:
* Location (Tamarac is a rough part of town)
* WiFi was free but extremely slow (fine for sending business emails but it was impossible to stream YouTube)
* Small pool, basically facing the highway

We had a very nice stay at this HI. We arrived close to 10pm and the manager Juanita was very graceful and polite. I requested a mini fridge and she had one sent up almost immediately. I can honestly say that her service encouraged me to give this hotel 5 stars, small details go a long way. The following night, I went down to the front desk to request a late checkout and she remembered my name and asked how my sick uncle was doing.
The property is located next to the Florida Turnpike which makes it very convenient. There is also a 24 hour Krispy Kreme next door which is definitely a perk! The hotel itself is older than other Hampton Inns I have been to recently but it’s still very comfortable. The rooms are not updated yet with wall thermostats, they still have the window side AC units but our AC was cold and did it’s job. The beds were very comfortable, the room was clean as well as the bathroom. We had more than enough pillows and there was no noise throughout the night.
They offer an outdoor pool as well as a Jacuzzi. The size of the pool is medium size but if your goal is to escape the heat and cool off, it’s big enough. Parking is free and that’s very important to me when I look for hotels, I hate paying for parking. They offer security that drives and walks around the property so you do feel safe. They provided free breakfast from 6am-​10am that consisted of eggs, sausage, cereal, fruits, juices and coffee. I would stay here again based on service and convenience.

On my first day at the property inside my bathroom I found a pubic hair on folded towels. I reached out to the front desk, and did not receive an apology. I was told that someone would be by soon to re-​clean the bathroom. Was not offered a new room or anything. That same night I found facial hairs on the shower wall. Again I called down to the desk, and again I did not receive an apology, and all I was told that someone would be by soon to re-​clean the bathroom once again. My second day I found more hair on top of the toilet tank. My 3^rd day I found a long blond hair on my pillow, and I am a male with short short hair. My fourth day found trash on my room floor. Every time I called down to the from desk staff I felt like they were very unresponsive to my issues, and almost as if I was bothering them.

OK, So I just stayed here a couple of nights for a business trip and I must say, I have definitely seen better! The service was great, but the room seemed to be very sparsely furnished with cheap furniture and the TV was too small in my opinion. Also, I brought my laptop along because of the free wifi but that proved to be so slow and useless that it might as well been called dial up. I decided to download a TV show through I tunes so that I would have something to watch on the return trip home. The Internet was so slow that Itunes told me that It would take 27 hours to download one episode of The Walking Dead… not a whole season… but one episode! That single factor for me was a deal breaker… will not be staying there again.

Visiting for a couple of days. Came in late last night & they had rooms. Front Desk was extremely nice & helpful.
My room was 124, it was clean and smelled fresh. Sheets, towels, etc. were clean.
Breakfast is small, but enough. Egg, French Toast, Sausage + waffles, breads & cereals. Coffee is okay, not my favorite (I’m a Starbucks Kinda Gal.
They have workout room.
Internet is free.
My only deal is they have no premium movies to purchase. I like my hotels to have that option, in case I want to sit back and relax in my room for a couple of hours. They do have HBO HBO 2, so I guess that will do.
Overall this place is a good location, right off the turnpike & close to I95. Also, you should check out Flannigans off of 7. Don’t let the outside or inside décor fool you. They have great ribs & big burgers. They have a pretty good size menu, something for everyone & the big thing the STAFF IS GREAT!

If you are visiting the northwest end of Ft. Lauderdale area this is a consistantly good hotel. Always clean, free breakfast and a friendly staff. No, not close to the beach, but Kyle B., look at a map next time!

Why were we here? Tamarac, outside of everything but not the middle of nowhere that we were used to, but still outside of everything worth speaking about.
In the parking lot, we all sat around while drinking Mike’s Hard Lemonade while feeding cheese to a cat that named Fredrick and talked about how close we were to starting out final trek west, how close we were to starting a month break at home.
The cat seemed happy enough to eat the food we offered, the cat seemed happy enough to be living in the strange spot that was this hotel.
And I feel as if there was anything worth noting in this hotel but it was nothing.
Nothing y nada y nada y nothing.
Dreadfully slow internet, I remember that much. That stood out, we uploaded our final projects of the year.
