A 40 year institution in Tamarac that definitely shows it’s age. If you avoid the crowd and find a table you’re sure to have an excellent, reasonably price Breakfast. I usually have the Eggs Benedict with a side of Bacon. The cook makes the best Hollandaise Sauce ever; very rich and creamy.

LOVE This place. It is so nice to come across a small restaurant that is not part of a big chain — great food, great service. One of my favorite go-to places, especially for breakfast.

Dirty and expensive for what it is. If you sit at the bar you can really see how dirty and cheap this place is. Just gross… I do not know how they get past the health inspections. Plus cash only, with no ATM.

Cash only. The cook is great. I never have a problem with the food. The service is okay. It varies depending on how busy it is I guess, although it shouldn’t. I’ll go again as long as that cook is still there.

The breakfast was ok, nothing special but the food came out cold. Worst thing for this business is that they do not accept cards. Only cash. It’s 2016 people. You can tell by the decorations and appliances that they are still stuck in the year 1991.

2 words: Yummy and cheap. I’m talking about like $ 5 for a huge breakfast it’s a must have, nice environment because it’s an older crowd.

Flashback to the 1970s… Father Time spares no one and this restaurant is not immune. Open 40 years and it looks it. I stopped in late on a rainy day and sat at the counter. It was about 2:00p and they close at 2:30p. I was told they take their last order at 2:15p but a couple came in after that and they served them. I like that. I ate breakfast here a couple of times about 5 years ago. It was was decent and for some reason this joint popped in my mind. The Food This is straight up good old fashion American diner food. I ordered a cup of the Chicken Florentine Soup and the Deluxe Bacon Cheeseburger with Swiss and no mayo with fries, medium. The soup was nice and hot… The broth was spot on with nice chunks of chicken. The cheeseburger was cooked perfect and tasted fine. The fries and set up were ok. It also came with a pickle spear and coleslaw. Man, this is hard to type! This food would be Five Stars back in 1970… Frozen hamburger patties, Sysco style frozen French fries. I’m gonna say the soup was homemade, which is where I’m going with this review. Come into the 21st Century, man. Prepare some fresh burgers and some hand cut fries. I get it, this is the way your customers like it which is why you have been open for 40 years. But I’ll tell you this, I’ve seen my beloved Mai-Kai upgrade their menu and they have been open longer. Service and Ambiance Service is an easy 5 Stars. Everyone is friendly and very personable. I was talking to one employee who is the Varsity Boys Baseball Coach at Coral Glades High School. My server, who had beautiful blue eyes, was a doll. Service was prompt and efficient. The cooking grill is facing the counter so you can watch your food being prepared which I also like. No place to hide. As for the décor…it needs a good remodel. I suggest a little fresh paint and remove the poles at the counter where their used to be seats. I have another suggestion but I would like the owner to email me to tell her it. Lastly, hardly anyone carries cash anymore. Yes folks, this place is cash only. Get a debit/credit card machine. Verdict This place is OK. What you see is what you get. When I had breakfast here it was delicious but like I said that was 5 years ago. I’m sure it still is. Give this place a try and tell me what you think. I’d be curious to see what other folks think because I believe this restaurant has great potential. Stay Hungry!

Great small family owned diner type restaurant, great for an inexpensive but well made breakfast. The service and quality seemed to go down a bit after the owner passed away, but we’ve been going here for years and will continue. If you come on a weekend you will wait for a table, but usually not too long as they move the tables fast. The food is consistently well cooked, and is the usual breakfast fare, made quickly and to your specific order. The wait staff are all women, and usually are efficient and fast. Anyone can have an off day, but more often then not we are well pleased with our meals and it is very inexpensive. If you are looking for a homey type diner breakfast that reminds you of the bagel places in New England, than this is for you. If you are not a fan of those, then you might be happier at Denny’s. Just saying, this is a small, intimate setting and you can watch your breakfast being made right there if you sit at the counter. Four stars because they do tend to try to turn the tables over quickly, and sometimes I feel too rushed at my meal because there are people waiting for a table. Also we are not coffee drinkers, we drink tea, so we have to make sure the waitress coming around with the coffee pot to pour refills doesn’t top off our tea! If you are a coffee drinker no doubt you will find that a plus. Give this little place a try. Bring cash though because it is CASHONLY!

Quick. Cheap. Tasty. What more could you ask for? Only reason 4⁄5 is some of their items can use some work(like the french toast).

Great local spot for breakfast or yummy diner style food. Cash only! Breakfast is served all day, eggs, omelettes and such delights. I usually get one of the omelettes with coffee and it gives me a great start to the day.

This place is definitely awesome. They are the only place I know that service Taylor ham. It’s kind of small and hard to find seating if you come in the morning after church hours. But on the weekday you shouldn’t have any problem getting a table. But most of the time when I go in I could usually find a spot at the bar. I prefer to eat at the bar with a full view of my food being made. Also I get more attention and better service sitting close. The The menu is good there’s a lot of items nothing is over $ 10. Only bad thing is I’m not a fan of their coffee which I have informed them but whatever I’ll order orange juice at the orange tree.!! Yeeee Please be informed this establishment is strictly CASHONLY!!!

It’s pretty good for what is is, a small, family owned breakfast/lunch joint. If you don’t feel like going to the Denny’s or IHOP in the area, this is a good place to come. For breakfast, you’ll spend less than $ 15 for 2 people and get a good amount of food. They don’t make anything you can’t prepare for yourself at home, but it’s a good place to eat right after rolling out of bed. Service is a tad slower than usual, but not bad. Also it is CASHONLY!

This is a decent neighborhood diner to stop at if you’re really hungry and don’t want to spend a ton of money. The food was good, and the service was decent(the waitress was nice, but all of the employees were congregated at the counter and were talking loudly and using questionable language. Normally I don’t care what kind of language people use, but I was with my dad and it was awkward to hear employees cursing and using foul language in front of customers). It’s also a bummer that they only accept cash. Who carries cash anymore?!

I was up in the area early one weekend morning and was starved. Checked Unilocal for something other than Dennys or IHOP. Found this gem. Small, whole in the wall location in a strip mall. Good amount of parking. Place gets packed obviously. We waited about 5 minutes for a back table which was perfect, out of the way of the crowd. All the employees were women and they were hysterical. Fun group! Seemed like a family. A homey place! A lot of customers were regulars. We got coffee and menus. REALLY good coffee! I had 3 cups. That last one probably wasn’t needed but dang it was good. And the waitress was always there to pour! Small, straightforward menu. CHEAPCHEAPCHEAP! Everything was cheap. I had a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich with a side of grits! Everything was delicious and homemade. The sandwich was a decent size with great grilled flavor! Nice, crispy bacon. My grits were perfect with loads of butter! They move tables fast too. Loved this place. Cant wait to go back for a weekend breakfast!

Being in the area and wanting breakfast we of course found this gem on Unilocal! Do not expect fancy or specialty foods. This restraurant is small, simple décor with a good menu. They offer your basics, eggs, french toast, omelettes, sandwiches, etc… We waited less than five minutes for a table and got served immediately. They have great coffee and for a great inexpensive solid breakfast this little diner is perfect! Most items are under $ 10 and the locals flock here. Warm and very friendly service and the food was delicious. It is everything I love about a good breakfast. I ordered a egg, cheese and bacon sandwich with home fries. My sandwich was perefctly toasted, fresh bread, and the home fries were excellent. My daughter had the same but she also had a side of grits which I do not eat but she said they were very good. Service is good, and you can’t beat the prices! See you again for a great simple breakfast that was beyond satisfying.
