Wow! Not impressed at all! I thought that the Westin name carried some weight. My husband and I checked in at the Westin today and went to the 725 South Bistro. We planned to have dinner. The service and appetizers were so unbelievably bad that we left and will not return. My shrimp cocktail was so awful — on some dead lettuce with no lemon. The shrimp cocktail was warm. I was worried it had been sitting for a while. The waiter never asked how we liked the appetizers. One of the shrimp had a black dried up piece on it. Disgusting! Hummus my husband ordered tasted like it was from a can — not homemade. Bland. Boring. Not up to Westin standards. House red wines tasted like cough syrup. Cheap wine! Would have ordered more expensive wine, but the waiter recommended the house wines as «good». Not good! Average to poor! We’ll not stay at this hotel again based on a horrible bar/restaurant and we will not recommend this place to family and friends.

This place is in the Westin hotel and normally I wouldn’t eat in, but bad weather forced me to stay in. I stood at the entrance for almost 15 minutes, trying to flag down someone to seat me. Once seated, I ordered an ice tea. No cocktail napkin so I watched the glass slide off the table. Tried to eat some of the bowl of stale bar snacks, and no sweetener around. Tried to ask for sugar and a napkin, but the staff had disappeared again, so I got up to the bar to get some. I asked for a knife and fork when my food arrived and was given a dirty fork. This is a Westin?

Ate here while staying at the hotel and was pleasantly surprised. Breakfast was the first time. Always an easy meal to make but apparently easy to mess up as well. Not here, everything came out perfectly. Green tea, croissant, chicken sausage, all perfect. Tea and sausage hot, croissant warm flaky and toasty. Service with a smile all good. Came back for late lunch the next day. Was only one there besides a table of 8 kind of obnoxious guys trying to pick up the lone waitress. I thought oh great, there goes my service, but no, she was on top of everything, very pleasant and really just humored the table of clods while actually focusing on her job. Had the chicken caprese panini, darn good stuff. Nice and fresh. Definitely a unique hotel restaurant
