AMC Veterans 24

Nice theater… seating seems a little old and worn, but it is pretty well kept up. Concession is good… if overly expensive like every theater I have ever been to. Staff if friendly and helpful, even had a manager come out and grab a bunch of us from the line out front and take us inside to sell us tickets. Sounds system is good also.
I am so glad they decided against allowing cell phone usage… I would have boycotted them over that. It is annoying!

AMC Veterans 24 is one of the best theaters to go in Tampa. Parking is easy you can buy tickets at the Kiosk online or you can wait in line to buy as well at the theater. The conceson/​lobby area was efficient and tidy. And they have a full bar. The theater itself has fantastic surround sound seats are not always so comfortable. Due to its ginormous size and 24 theaters, AMC Vet 24 always offers multiple showings of popular movie within 20 minutes of each other. The employees are always friendly.

So what we have here is a Movie Center with 24 Screens or Movies. You would expect a number of ticket windows to be open at 8 – 9 Sunday night, yes?
How about 1, yes, ONE open ticket window with 18 people in line already, and another 6 inline behind us within 2 minutes and growing. Really? Seriously?
Will I be back there? No Thanks, I will wait for the rental. It appears Customer Service is a thing of the past at this location.

After going to dinner at Logan’s Steak House where my husband and I enjoyed dinner and a drink. Afterwards we walked over to AMC to catch the Batman/​Superman movie.
Before going into the theater to find our seats we thought we would go to the bar they there and get a drink. Where is the common sense in this world anymore? You have to card two over fifty year olds? So we told the bartender to forget the order. We didn’t even get carded over at Logan’s Steak house.
It may be flattering to some to be carded but I find it insulting when common sense is lost.
And don’t give me that it’s their policy crap because those who made it lack the common sense gene.
If more people would stand up about being carded when it clearly obvious that you are (old) enough to drink then maybe common sense will return to the human mind.
Then on another note your movie theater was very warm and uncomfortable. This isn’t the first time it’s been warm.

I normally love this place. But the past coupe of times, theaters have been dirty and they stopped serving hot beverages. I hope they can fix this. Fun to watch movies there.

My hubby and I went here last night to catch a quick movie since we haven’t been out of the house for a while. First things first, the movie Deadpool was super corny. Not good, but I know the theater staff does not have any control over that. As far as the theater itself goes it was very clean. The bathrooms were fresh and well maintained. I really appreciated that.
One thing I did notice was that no one came and scanned the theater during our screening. I thought that used to be a thing? It definitely made me feel more secure when they did. I also noticed that during the pre-​show previews and such after «silence your cell-​phones» there was «report suspicious characters». Does this proactive statement take the place of an actual person coming in and checking the room? Anyway, that was just an observation.

Pros: Friendly employees, awesome concession stand, and spacious parking.
Cons: Overused/​dirty seats

AMC Veterans 24 is a good movie theatre. It is a large theatre and typically has mainstream movies as well as some indie flicks. Prices are in line with a typical movie going experience. There is a snack bar as well as an alcoholic bar, something for everyone. The theatres are largely sized, which is good because this theatre gets pretty crowded. Really no complaints about this theatre and the only reason that I am not here more often is due to the proximity to my home.

I’m giving a 4 because of their organization during a big showing. IE STAR WARS!!! We were told at the ticket booth to stand in an outside line. That we were the 1^st ones there because no one was in line. Well that was wrong. We stood there for about 10 min. and the booth guy sends some customers over to tell us they are already seating. We got inside and the theater was full we had to sit in the crap seats on the floor. The price is good. I hate buttering my own popcorn I think I should just have to do it if I want MORE. Theater was like all others. I love that they sell alcohol.

Theater has gone way downhill. I felt like I was surrounded by gang members. After the movie was over I was watching the credits and an armed guard looking like Whoopi Goldberg came in and stared at me. Felt uncomfortable so I just about ran out! Told the theater about it and they said, well its the day and age of armed guards. Maybe there but every other theater has deputies or state police. I won’t be back. You shouldn’t either.

The theater is a nice building with comfortable seats. The staff members are really friendly. However its a massive movieplex in an isolated suburban setting. Only chain restaurants surround the theater; you cant walk between them all.
The parking lot is huge with poor lighting. The clientele are a bit obnoxious; large food slips all over the condiment bar, large trucks parked on the landscaping islands outside. Great screens but not a very relaxing evening out.

I have been to this theater a number of times, most recently to watch The Martian in 3D (great movie!). I liked that we were in a smaller theater, especially with the 3D, but this may have been because the movie has been in theaters for so long.
This theater gets PACKED and, even though the parking lot is huge, it can be a pain to find parking on a weekend night. There are also not enough ticket booths for the size of the crowds this place attracts. There are also only two e-​ticket booths, which are basically guaranteed to be backed up on a busy night (by the way, you can claim your e-​ticket at a regular booth with a live person too).
The interior is pretty standard. The bathrooms and theaters are clean. There are three concession stands: one main and one in each wing. There is also a bar, which includes liquor.
Also, there are a few very reasonable priced restaurant/​bars which share the same parking lot as the theater. This is great in the event you want to grab a bite before/​after the movie.

My boyfriend and I wanted to watch Everest and this was the only one with a late night show time… The bathrooms weren’t very clean and also the theatre seats were DISCUSTING. There were white stains all over the seats which grossed me out to the point that I didn’t even want to be there nor touch anything. The movie was great though. I will Def reconsider before returning here. Westshore is way cleaner, so is Ybor Muvico…

I visited the AMC Veterans recently to watch Straight Outta Compton. We preordered tickets so check-​in was completed quickly through the ticket kiosk. I expected a full house since it was opening night. This was my first time to this theater so I had no idea how big it was. Once we made it to our theater, I noticed just how large the theater actually was. There were a lot of empty seats even though it was the movie’s première and even the seats seemed more spacious. We were both comfortable throughout the entire show.
The biggest disappointment was the price of concessions. It’s almost as bad as going to a game at Raymond James. I was surprised to see a full bar though. We took advantage of it and had a beer while we waited for our movie to start. It really made the whole experience more enjoyable.

With the massive amounts of rain recently, getting out for a few hours somewhere other than my local gym was much needed so I ventured here for the first time in over a year to check out the reboot of Vacation.
Besides, the original Vacation movie was the first R movie I ever snuck into (Insert your own Christie Brinkley joke here) and I’ve been loyal to the series ever since.
My experience at this theatre was very similar to a recent trip to the AMC Westshore location and that’s not a bad thing at all.
No issues with employees, cleanliness or the audio/​video presentation of the movie and parking is a breeze because the lot is huge and is not impacted by any restaurant nearby.
My only issue at all was with other customers who don’t have their act together when buying concession items and that’s not the theatre’s fault. Seriously people, place your order and pay for it when everyone in your group is there who needs to be there. Don’t place it, then start looking for somone who has a stubs card for a discount and hold everyone else up. These people even walked away without about half the things they ordered. Rubes.
And, no, I don’t know why going to a movie means paying similar prices for food and beverage as if you’re at a sporting event. So if you’re going to complain about it in line, don’t do it to me because I’ve known these pricing points for years and cannot do anything to change them. Neither can the poor kid taking your order, so deal with it or just sneak in a flask and a box of candy from CVS.

Great theater, first time here, force fandango screening of Trainwreck. Super comfortable, clean, excellent acoustics.
Not in my part of town, but excellent theatre. Too bad they rape you at the concession stand with those prices!

Great theater very clean and well organized, I’ve had trouble in the past with security here not doing their job effectively and allowing trouble makers to disrupt viewings but I guess that’s more on the fault of the trouble makers. Just don’t think reporting something will make a huge difference to your experiences. They handle their prescreenings very well here, lines are organized. There always seems to be enough workers at the concessions counter as well. I have been coming here for years and as long as their open I’ll be coming to catch a movie or two.

Since we’d been given Come Back coupons after seeing SPY, the husband and I decided we’d go see Mad Max. Veterans 24 had the best time for us.
We arrived and there was no problem using the ticket. The ticket taker was very excited that we’d be seeing Mad Max. He gave a personal reccomendation that the movie was REALLY GOOD.
Our theatre was #2, one of the smaller side theatres. It wasn’t terribly small but there were 8 whole people in the place so it was quite comfortable and everyone had good seats. Concessions are as they are in every place, expensive. Since this is where movie theatres make their profits, but 2 waters, Nibs and sour gummies and we ended up seeing a great flick in comfort.
We used to come here all the time, sadly it’s too far away now.

With this theatre though it is a Mecca for the Bay Area as this place truly PACKS up on the Friday-​Saturday nights as the parking lot can accommodate plenty of patrons and plenty of food choice options ranging from pizza-​Starbucks.
Try going seeing any movies before 3pm for a reasonable price as it goes around $ 10.50 for a viewing on the weekends. Also their staff is professional in servicing you from front window to concessions.
Would recommend this place to anyone who’s looking for a «dinner and a movie» deal.

Why 5 stars? Because they have lots of screens and solid concessions.

When I was growing up in Houston, we had an AMC 30 open near my parents house, and it was a HUGE deal. At that time, most theaters had 6 – 8 screens, and maybe 16 if you were found one that was way ahead of the curve. I like theaters like this because it means each room is less crowded, and it means that movies that are a bit older, can stay in the theater longer.
This was especially useful for me when I went to see Nightcrawler recently. Great movie, by the way! It had been out for a few weeks, and AMC Veterans was the only theater around that was still showing it.
As for the concessions, let’s great real, the self-​serve ICEE machine is really all I care about. as Vice President of Frozen Sugar, Unilocal Tampa Bay division, I was very appreciative of this, and took full advantage.
I had never been to this AMC before, but I’ll definitely be back!
