First time visit. Awesome experience! Yvette and Alex made me feel special. It was my birthday. Alex my server read my mind on the type of cocktail I wanted and they were fab. Kudos to the bartender. I had the tostones with chicken and it was so good. I can’t wait to go back as the menu looks enticing.

Our waiter Mike was awesome. 4 of us for dinner with no reservations at about 5pm. Super smooth lemon ginger mojito. Great fish tacos, currie bowl, pasta dish and burger. Everything tasted wonderful, and the service was spot on. Great atmosphere, with lots of seating options, including waterfront views. Highly recommend this place. We will continue to stop here any time we’re in the Tampa area.

Good food, not great, but good. Wanted a view of the water but it was cold out so we sat inside. Ambiance was ok but not what we were looking for with family visiting from out of town. Staff was friendly and attentive, made up for the fact that we couldn’t have the water views we wanted would go back on a nicer day.

The food is great! Perfect place to come by boat. The wait/outdoor seating being first come first serve turns into what seems feels like a «feeding frenzy». Every. Man. For. Himself. I love the tropical drinks and rice and beans… Yum!

Came in tonight, fresh off of the plane, excited to have some good food. I was happy until the first server we talked to really seemed like she didn’t want to be there. Hey, I get it, I work in food-service, Friday nights suck. Treat your customers like you want their money, at the VERY least. Once we were seated, everything was going well for a while, but then our waiter brought appetizers before he even took our drink order. Our drinks arrived after we placed our entrée order. The ribs that someone in our party ordered were seriously lacking, especially for how expensive the meal was. The rest of it was quite delicious though. After we settled up our bill, and left, we tried to buy something somewhere else, only to realize that our waiter NEVERGAVEOURCARDBACK. We called and all they could offer was, «we’ll look for it. He doesn’t remember if he gave it back or not.» I have worked in the industry for years. I have never had an issue«remembering whether or not I gave the card back.» I am extremely appalled at the level of experience our waiter seemed to possess, working at a nicer restaurant.

BUSY night — but our service was good. Mostly. Had to ask a couple of times for things. Water/Soda filled — but a little too slowly. Sat in the bar area — so lots of staff moving in and out. and standing watching the football game that was on. Really? Ordered the Conch fritters at the recommendation of the server. They were pretty good — loved the sweet dipping sauce. The chips/salsa. Really? $ 4 for about twenty chips … and a bowl of salsa — unripe tomatoes with onion. Practically no flavor. Worst chips/salsa I have EVER had! I ordered the streak-frites. Hmm… Steak was ok — ordered medium and was well. Couldn’t the chef tell when they cut it that it wasn’t medium? Biggest pet peeve… the fries were delivered room temperature. If you’re going to use pre-cut fries — at least ensure they’re delivered hot. They were replaced but the meal was over by the time they arrived. Next.

Hadn’t been here for a while so after drinks down the road we decided to grab some food here. Although it was chilly out it was very lively on the outside tiki deck with live music playing. We opted for inside and got a pineapple coconut martini for me and an aruba red for him. My martini was good. He switched to something different after the first one as it bueno. We shared some beef empanadas and jerk wings to start. The empanadas were delicious. I mean really good. The jerk wings were ok but we both agreed they were a little undercooked for our liking. For dinner we shared a rack of ribs. with fries. The ribs were quite good. The fries were the saltiest things we ever ate! Yikes. No big deal as the ribs stole the show. We hung out for another round and a couple shots the waiter recommended. By then it was getting close to dinner time and folks were pouring in. Definitely a place to go off hours or be prepared to wait. Fun place!

We came here in a HUGE group for my sister’s and her friend’s graduation Lunch/Dinner. It was just okay. They had multiple servers to take care of us, which was great. The food took forever to come out and when it did, it was super salty that I couldn’t even taste the other flavors. It was hard to get refills on drinks, and to get other items like extra napkins etc., in a timely manner. We didn’t end up finishing our meals and didn’t bother to take them. I did enjoy the drinks out on the water front, while we waited to be seated. The bartender was awesome(our servers were too). The place was clean and had a nice vibe.

This place is a total disaster, from the staff to the food. Let me preface this by saying we came on a very busy night(which most are from what I understand), and due to the way the place is run, it made it even worse. First, we got there at 7:15pm. We wanted to sit outside and was told it was first come first serve. Who is the genius of thought that would be a good idea. That’s fine if you have a small outside area with 10 tables. But the patio is huge, and I estimate there are probably 40 or more tables out there. Results in people hovering over tables that are paying their tabs, and waiters getting understandably frustrated because they have to dodge people standing there. Also not a good feeling when you’re paying your tab and have people hovering over you asking when you’re leaving. To add insult to injury, you have to sit at a dirty table, and waiters can’t remember if people have been sitting there or new people who took over table. We finally took a table at 7:40pm. Nobody talked to us until 8:15pm when waitress rudely said she was very busy and would get to us when she could. Whaaattttt??? Another waitress finally took our drink orders at 8:25pm. After complaining to manager, they offered free appetizers(he was very nice and apologetic), which we got at 9:00pm. Got our entrees at 9:35pm!!! And a couple of people didn’t get theirs. I asked to see manager again, but he never came back. We were there for 3HOURS! They need to fix this!!! They cannot make those tables first come first serve. Now the food. Ordered the Island Hopper and Lobster and Shrimp Quesadillas, and that is why they got 2 stars instead of one. Everything on those plates was simply delicious! I then ordered the lobster Mac and cheese and that’s where things went bad. Pasta was greasy and bland, the lobster was chewy, and the breading was also greasy and chewy. My wife had shrimp linguini which was also bland and over cooked. One last thing. The first entertainer was incredibly loud and a bit obnoxious. We couldn’t hear each other at our table. The second guy, who was an older guy with a Tampa Bay Bucs tank top and black guitar was awesome! Great musician, great voice, loud enough to hear and sing along, but not so loud that you couldn’t hear others at your table. Conclusion? There are plenty of bars in the area on the bay. Unless they fix things, or can show us the food is better, will probably not be back.

Waited twenty minutes to be treated at our table. Ate overpriced coconut shrimp. Then proceeded to wait 25 minutes after I ate before I got fed up and walked to the front booth to pay. They went to get a manager and manager never came. I will never be back here. Bad food bad service. Oh and the bathrooms were dirty and toilet paper everywhere on top of it. Good thing it was a gift card or I would’ve walked out of there.

I came here with my family, 9 of us. The wait was about 45 min and it was packed on Sunday 12÷27÷15. There really isn’t much seating when there’s a long this wait and he bar outside was way too crowded to get a drink without it taking 15 min. The waitstaff was kind and they promptly took our drink and food order after we got sat. Many things were ordered at the table. The baby back ribs were really good and fell off the bone. ORDERED: — fried shrimp appetizer — ahi tuna app — Zombie California drink(it was ehh) PROS: — stuck to their quoted time to be seated — good service — food didn’t take too long for a large group so kitchen dos well — All the calories were listed for every meal. LOVEDTHAT!!! CONS: — fried shrimp sucked. Too much breeding and it made it a little soggy. Fed have had better elsewhere — Ahi tuna app was just okay. The cracker thing they added for layers didn’t add anything special to it. — they were completely out of ALLMOJITOS!!! — Zombie drink left much to desire.

Enjoyed dinner with my in-laws while there visiting from Chicago! We really enjoyed ourselves and our server April was great. We ordered a few apps and 2 meals and it was plenty. I ordered the baby back ribs and they came out cold. Our server was very apologetic and they came back out piping hot. They gave me a brand new order with a better looking order of French fries. We also has the onion rings and the shrimp app and they were both fresh and delicious. My husband tried the pulled pork and plantains and he loved them. The drinks were good and so on point. This is a nice place for casual adult dining but it’s also a good place for kids. We sat on the patio and the view was simply breathtaking! They also have a live band that was pretty good. I give them 4 stars only because my ribs were cold, and the manager didn’t bring them out and it took a long time for them to come out

Okay food and service. I’m not a super big fan of this place, just because it is not really my style. I like my food fresh and healthy and am vegetarian. This place doesn’t exactly market to that. But this place is conveniently located and a favorite among my coworkers. Has something for everyone. And fish plates and seafood pastas also look good(I just cant eat them). The drinks look beautiful(if you drink. lol.). I usually get a black bean burger and tomato salad. They are good. I get the burger without the BBQ sauce. Hamburger bread is actually really good. Black bean burger is good. I usually get the tomato salad, which is good, but deviated this time and got fruit and mango sorbet. I loved the sorbet; wonderful flavor. I just wish the fruit was more fresh. It was grapes and pineapple tidbits. Overall good place to relax and take a group of people to.

Who knows how many times I’ve driven past this place, seeing it’s bright red name shining across the water as I drove past. Finally decided to drop in here for dinner with my partner and pretty much got what I expected: a big Caribbean themed restaurant, with okay food, and reasonable prices. My partner and I ended up sitting inside, though honestly outside looked a little bit more like a party. The restaurant is pretty big, with a few different separated sections keeping it from getting too loud. The décor is pretty much what you’d expect from a Caribbean themed chain restaurant: lots of wood, some false palm-looking hut roofs, and an overall beachy feel. Being on the water helps. Our server was pleasant but seemed a little harried and absolutely exhausted. But she still put on a smile for us and quickly explained the specials and the menu. Our drinks arrived quickly and were refilled quickly throughout dinner, and our food was out pretty fast as well. The food was okay. Some of the apps looked good, but since we were coming off a previously heavy night we didn’t order any. I honestly expected more seafood options, but that section was fairly small on the menu. The menu included calorie amounts for every item, which was honestly more discouraging than helpful. Most restaurants do that to show off their low calorie options, but this place didn’t really have much in the way of low calories. And while I’m thankful to have an idea of my calorie intake, that’s not something I really want on the forefront of my mind when I go to a place like Bahama Breeze where the average per dish is about 1000 or more calories. I did decide to get the lighter version of the mahi and shrimp rice bowl, and my partner got the seafood paella. Both were okay but nothing to write home about(and, unsurprisingly, that’s definitely not real paella). The dishes were almost identical, just seafood mixed in with yellow rice, but the paella had more different types of seafood. A few pieces of seafood were overcooked, but most were right on. The biggest selling point here is the price. There aren’t many places in Tampa that you can get any seafood at all without spending less than $ 20. This place may not be the best in town, but the prices are very reasonable. Combine that with the festive beach-y atmosphere and you’ve got a great place to go with a large group, and idea that was supported by the large number of groups that I saw with more than 6 people. I wouldn’t say this place is worth driving out of your way for, but if you’re curious after driving past and seeing it across the water like I was, it’s not a bad place to stop for a quick dinner.

This remains a very busy spot on Rocky Point after all these years. The waterfront location and outdoor seating are clearly the big draw at this spot, although I have always preferred to sit inside because I prefer air-conditioning and no live music. While I do not eat seafood, there are plenty of other choices for me on the menu here although my most recent visits have just been with friends for drinks and conversation. Bahama Breeze has certainly benefitted from a couple nearby restaurants closing or simply parting ways with some really good employees, as I saw friendly faces I’ve known for awhile who now work here.(Fran, Danni, Babs) While I wish ownership of this particular Bahama Breeze would participate in the great happy hour promotions of other locations, the presence of those good employees is enough to keep me coming in every once in awhile. Besides, this seems to be one of the few places in Tampa where customers can order frozen drinks without the threat of an eye roll from bartenders. It is obviously part of the vibe here, although if you’re a man and you order one of these… you should be forced to pay double for obvious reasons.(Just take a sip or two of hers when nobody’s looking and claim she forced you to do it.)

I enjoyed having lunch here, I got the coconut shrimp lunch dish with the chicken fajita soup. Both were good and I was happy they had the calories listed on the menu. It was a fun lunch and I want to go back for drinks very soon. I think my favorite part of the restaurant was the atmosphere.

I love the food and drinks of any Bahama Breeze but this location takes the cake because of the amazing views. The atmosphere just can’t be beat outside on the patio, with live music and a big drink list! My favorite item on the menu is the Jerk chicken pasta. I love it so much I always struggle with myself when I want to try something new. I usually go back to the pasta! The jerk chicken wings are also very good, probably the best I have had outside of my trip to Jamaica and one particular restaurant in Tampa dedicated to Jerk food. The only problem with this particular Bahama Breeze is this is the one that everyone wants to be at! The crowds are inescapable. I have never been here when there was not a long wait especially if you are hoping to sit outside.

I’ll break my rating down: 4– Our server Justin was nice, friendly, and gave us clear recommendations. He was attentive the whole time we were there, except for the last 10 min or so and maybe he was swamped. We would be happy to have him again. 3– Food– while the appetizer of beef empanadas was ‘pretty good’ the main dishes that both myself and my co-worker ordered were decidedly mediocre, unimpressive, and pretty bland(I had the Paella). 4– The view from the outside seating and the misting fans definitely get a 4. Because food is the centerpiece of a meal, and it was a definite 3. I give my rating a 3.

Been coming here for years, since 2000 probably have always loved their food and ambiance. Great place to meet peeps for drinks and have fun, great place to start off before you went out, or just place to have dinner. Great food with its own style. The last few times have just been so disappointed with the food. The quality has just really gone down, so disappointing! Last time we came we got the spin dip was bland and cold. My girl ordered a salad with shrimp and they brought it with chx. Which is no big deal, except when they brought it back it was apparent that they had just taken the chx off and thrown the shrimp over it 1.) was suppose to be grilled shrimp but instead they put little cold shrimp 2.) she doesn’t eat meat so she was pissed. Service has gone down hill as well! Tonight we had the shrimp and lobster quesadilla which is one of our favorites their was hardly any lobster and the shrimp seemed like crap you buy at a grocery frozen food section. She had the calypso shrimp linguine which tasted great but again the shrimp in it was atrocious, so dissapointed. The shrimp is just a joke. I had the mahi tacos which were fine. Don’t really what’s happened with this place. Once one of my favorites, not sure I’ll be returning. Sad to say!
