It is so hard to find a great massage, at a reasonable price. This place is it! Good prices, lots of services. I just had a phenomenal massage by Von. Deep tissue, hit all the right spots. Guaranteed I’ll be back!

Very clean, very nice day spa. Took advantage of the facial, massage, mani/​pedi package for a girls day/​birthday celebration. Rocquelle and Amy were great! I will be back soon!

New owners as of today. sept 12! Also now called Carrollwood Day Spa. Melissa worked on my neck today and it feels tons better! She also worked on my tennis elbow. I’ll be back to see her!

Avoid going here for a spray tan! Very disappointing. I was desperate to get a spray tan before Labor Day and chose to go here. I should’ve known right off the bat that it wasn’t going to be good when I wasn’t offered a cap to cover my hair!!! It was awful.
It seemed like it was this lady’s first time ever doing a spray tan. She didn’t have me do any of the standard spray tan positions. Seemed like she was just spraying me and eyeballing it. She even sprayed my armpit! (Wtf)
There was drips and dots ALL over. She kept insisting it would wash off and repeated herself nonstop. Sure enough it didn’t wash off like she said it would. The nest morning, I had a lovely line down my leg and arms where the tan was very uneven. I would NEVER go back. Paid $ 40 for the worst spray tan of my life. I would’ve been much better off in a tanning booth. Ugh.
They should stick with massages/​facials or find someone who really knows how to spray tan.

Great customer service. Prices are cheap. My one compliant is having to listen to the therapist and guest in the next room talking and laughing the entire time of my 80 min massage. Either they need louder music or thicker walls. This completely ruins a massage experience.

When I first booked the appointment, Cindy made sure I knew that it was (and was comfortable with) a male therapist. (I was.) When I entered the spa, there was water available and she showed me where the restroom was located.
Then, I had the best deep tissue massage! Jason was excellent! Applied pressure at all the right areas– feeling out wherever I was tight. He’d be excellent for athletes as he knows how to apply the right amounts of pressure. I’ve been running lately and my overworked calves feel great post massage.
Keep an eye out for their specials! They already have great prices, but the specials allow you to try different services at even better prices!

This is a Carrollwood gem! I’ve been going for over a year now and have always had not just a good but great experience. I’ve been to other Essentials and this is by far the nicest facility. I’ve had multiple massages and facials and just used them for my nails today and yet again i’m a happy customer. What I appreciate is that anyone from there is great… you don’t have to wait for that one person to be on that day to get quality spa services. The prices are always affordable and with promos always running it can get down right cheap. I’ve been to other spas in Tampa but this is my spa home.

I was very impressed with my service at this spa. They worked me in the same day, and then gave me advice on what would work best for me as for as a facial. I had some sunspots on my face, and they gave me a european facial with a microdermabrasion. The facial was very relaxing and left me feeling rejuvenated. The products that they used smelled very clean and fresh, and I enjoyed them a lot better than products used at other spas I have tried. The microdermabrasion dimished the sunspots by a significant amount. The price was a little cheaper compared to other spas I have been to, but with the same level of service. Rosa was amazing, and very knowledgeable about skincare. face felt smooth and pretty for days after the facial. I will definitely be back.

Left feeling refreshed. I got a relax/​deep tissue combo for $ 35. I had a male therapist, Rasheem, and he did a great job. He targeted he places I needed to loosen. The place was clean and soothing. Cindy got my mom an appt even though there wasn’t any spots left. She went above and beyond to ask a therapist if he would open a spot for us. Thank you, Cindy. My family was pleased with this place and want to go back next week.

The atmosphere was very nice and clean. The staff was attentive and professional. I would definitely come again for another deep tissue massage. The one negative thing I can say was that it was VERY cold for a massage room, once the blanket came off I was freezing and the lotion only made me colder. All in all it was a good experience.

Never had a bad massage… I have tried 5 different people on staff… and I have never been disappointed.
The prices are really good. people just need to remember to tip… you get your moneys worth

Saw Sandie for a deep tissue massage ($ 40) and she was amazing, it was worth every penny and more. Sandie is one of only 22 board certified massage therapists in Hillsborough County. The spa itself is clean and easy to find. If you’re in need of some stress relief, I highly recommend Essentials and specifically Sandie, the «deep tissue diva».

This is LITERALLY the BEST manicure/​pedicure I have ever had! I am from Los Angeles and get regular manicure/​pedicures; this is– by far– the best experience I have ever had!
It may be slightly over zealous, but it is hard to navigate the sea of nail places in Tampa– or anywhere– and the care/​concern/​quality of the services here are wonderful!
I came in looking for a massage and was told they were booked, so decided to try a manicure/​pedicure because the salon was inviting and very clean, and the price was great ($ 35!!!). Kristi was WONDERFUL and worked meticulously on my nails for an hour and a half (including pedicure); she was a perfectionist, as am I, and I greatly appreciate it!!! I even enjoyed a lovely complimentary glass of Pino Grigio– offered during my manicure!
I can’t say enough to endorse the quality of my experience here! It is THE best place at a GREAT price! Ask for Kristi if getting your nails done– she was wonderful!!!

If you want a good massage, go see Rochelle. She is awesome! I originally went in for the $ 30 relaxation massage. When I explained to the masseuse what my problem area was, she informed me that I could get a combination of 2 different massages for just $ 10 more. I am training for a marathon and I sit in front of a computer and microscope at work. So, I needed both the deep tissue and the sports massage. She was the best! She did just the right combination of each massage. I got relief from the pain in my neck and shoulders with extra flexibility in my legs. There was also a small amount of traction which has helped to keep me pain free and flexible weeks later.
I went on a Monday night and I was able to call at the last minute to find an open appointment. I would caution against this. I would also not go Thursday– Saturday because the spa has a wall adjacent to Side Splitters comedy club. I was warned by the staff that sounds from the comedy club permeate the walls. It can get a little loud. Also, because of the type of combination massage I was getting, Rochelle was kind of talkative. However, she will ask you if you would like her to be quiet:-). If you are going for the relaxation massage, she may not be the masseuse for you because she is very interactive. She asks lots of questions to taylor your treatment. For me, that’s fine. She did such a great job (especially with the deep tissue), I tipped her $ 15. I will be back once a month.

I’ve been going for about a month. I got the relaxation massage special $ 30, and the European facial special $ 30. Massage. Nothing special. I get a therapeutic massage elsewhere once a month, and I’ll stick with that. However, facial! I’ve never had one before, and I didn’t know what to expect. It was wonderful. Samira really worked on my clogged up pores, & advised me what to do next to improve my skin. She did suggest some product, but it was by no means a hard sell. This place isn’t easy to find, but Samira is worth searching out. (I actually found the facial more relaxing than the massage!) Peels and dermabrasion available.
