First time here! This place has nice stringed lights outside and the inside is a romantic setting, very nice addition to the neighborhood. This place is owned by the same owners of terra sur which is conveniently right next door. So if you’ve been to terra sur expect the same great sangria They have cab franc which I was surprised. It’s my favorite varietal! On Wednesday half off bottles. Why not five stars? Food took too long, not servers fault but my biggest pet peeve and the flat bread didn’t wow me for the price.

First of if you buy a wine to go you can get 30% off the price of the wine. We had tapas here and the meatballs, ceviché, and papas bravas all great. The machengo cheses and wine is a lilttle over priced. If you get the tortilla or ravo you’ll be happy, not the best but good.

Rude staff! Overpriced wine list! I am Carrollwood Village resident so the proximity of this place is appealing but every time I go here I leave disappointed. My wife and I stopped in a few weeks ago, ordered a bottle of wine and since it was a slow night they rushed us out since they wanted to close early. Nice service! Never tried the food and doubt I ever will. Too many other places to spend my money

Waiting for our table next door at Terra Surr. Just waiting here– boyfriends getting a beer. Nice small bar. More upscale décor and looking. 3 tvs, live music done days but not tonight, and a. Wine cellar. Latin beer, gluten free beer, Europe, New Zealand, etc. cold and hot tapas along with flat bread.

I was a little disappointed with this location. I went to celebrate my birthday and was excited by all the great comments I had seen. I love tapas and was excited to give this place a try. The food was sub-par and prices were a bit high. The wine and beer selection was EXCELLENT, but I don’t think it was worth the drive. If you’re in the area it probably not a bad place to go, but I almost wish I had gone somewhere else to celebrate my birthday.

The wait staff is the RUDEST I’ve ever come across. Awful. Really, really awful. And the food — do yourself a favor and give it a miss.

The wife and I decided to go back to Cepas for a second time. We had such a great time the first time on Saint Valentine’s day that we could hardly wait to go back. Once again we had a great wonderful time. Their Sangria was sweet, fruity and full of flavor. We had their Ceviche which was good but for my personal taste there was too much onion on it. Their mussels shots were fantastic. We also had their sample platter which had delicious Spanish Manchego cheese, Chorizo, goat cheese and Olives to die for. If you think this is just your regular Latin or Mexican food place… stay away from it. However, if you want to experience real European fine tapas food this is the place to come to. Their wines from Spain are simply outstanding in flavor and quality. If you like beer they also have an ample selection. They had live guitar music which was a plus to us. Once again the waiters were friendly and very attentive to one’s needs. Well done Cepas!

Overall, Cepas is pretty good. The standard fair and wine selection are fantastic. If there bar is busy, the service is slow. Sometimes that’s tolerable, but only when everything else is excellent. A few weeks we went in and the service was fast, but we tried the crawfish. This was something new they were offering. Ugh, big mistake. The crawfish were flavorless and dry. It just wasn’t good. Stick to the established menu as their Spanish inspired dishes are consistently excellent!

Decent atmosphere & wine selection! But I must say the food is terrible… If a gas station served Spanish Tapas this is what it would taste like. Also, the servers are cold and un-inviting.

First off, I’m a beer and wine guy. I’m giving them a 5 based on that alone. The wine and beer selections were huge. The waitress/bartender was very helpful with helping us pick our drink selections. The food was also great. The mini paella was delicious even with the shrimp slightly over cooked. The crawfish étouffée was very good as well as the stuffed red pepper. The empanadas were also very good. We happened to go on ladies night, so a good portion of the food was and drinks were half price. We were extremely satisfied for what we paid.

Service = bad. One waitress dropped off the menu and ignored us for more than 10 minutes. Another finally showed up and didn’t bother to apologize, just made excuses. However, the food and beer were delicious! Really like the ambiance here…

VERYDISAPPOINTED!!! I live within 2 miles of Cepas/Terra Sur and love their food. The service is sometimes slow, but always friendly. Tonight this restaurant dipped to an all time low for me. I was there at happy hour, to listen to Josh Higgins perform. As he came in at 6:30, after setting up all of his equipment, he was asked to leave and told he was never scheduled. How on earth do people find it acceptable to treat others in such a manner??? For someone who had not been on the schedule, Josh sure thought he had a confirmed gig for many Tuesdays to come, as he had posted and promoted Cepas on his FB page. I know Josh as an acquaintance, and really enjoy watching him perform when I’m in town. Regardless, I love and respect people as a whole! It’s now over 2 hours later, and still cannot fathom how people can be so cruel and callous to others’ situation! If you guarantee a performer a spot in which to perform, you, as a business owner should follow through!!! I will not be recommending either Cepas or Terra Sur because of this absurd action. Shame on you!

I love this place! Great food, drinks, and ambiance. Order the Spanish sampler. Excellent to nibble on while you sip on wine or sangria.

Cepas is really good. The tapas were all good and the sangria is one of the best I’ve had. We tried the Spanish Sampler, Gambas al Ajillo, Ensalada Mediterranea, and the mini paella de mariachis. The great thing about going with a group of people is that you get to try different dishes. All were delicious. I highly recommend this place.

I am not a big fan of Tapas but this place really hit it out of the park! Even though they have a fairly small selection, they are really good. We tried the Salami and Queso, Chorizo and Jamon and they were both great. We also tried their mini paella which was ok. My gf also loved their white sangria.

Came here with some friends last night; dimly lit, small cozy atmosphere; wine selections good(I prefer reds –cabs, Malbec, etc.) and I tried their tuna and garbanzo bean salad; fresh and flavorful but a lil heavy with the purple onion. Service was good and they have live music thurs and Friday(think Spanish/Andalusian/gypsy kings). This is a good place to bring a small crowd to chill.
