They will get a second chance from me, but I was not happy with my food the first time. My grilled cheese sandwich with bacon and tomato was simply not made very well at all. Couldn’t even taste the bacon and the cheeses were more like a hot sandwich with cheese than a true grilled cheese. Because I’m a chicken salad snob, I will try the deli sandwich option next time to see if that is worthwhile. And I feel for the customers who tried to eat at the tables out front today because it was a scorcher. Maybe I should have let my grilled cheese sit on one of the outside tables for a few minutes so everything could properly melt together.

Delicious burgers! Brought my boyfriend for lunch for his first time. Burgers were good and fresh. Homemade mac and cheese was not as I was expecting and sounded way better on the menu than it tasted. Wish I would have gotten the chili cheese fries… maybe next time. He ordered a chocolate milk shake and I ordered a strawberry. His was better as it was vanilla ice cream, milk and chocolate syrup and mine was just strawberry ice cream and milk so it tasted a little bland. Also, got a bottle of root beer from the cooler but wasn’t that cold. Parking is a cross the street and there are a few picnic table to eat at but we just grabbed it to go. Overall enjoyed it and we’ll be back to try some different menu items… maybe their breakfast :)

If your looking to pig out on greasy food and and don’t care about the damage you’ll do to your body then you’ve picked the right place. I recommend the cuban or the Philly. This place was on triple D so I was geeked to try it out. After doing so with a 45 minute drive It cured a solid hangover from the night before.

We’ve been here twice now. The first time my husband and I shared the Triple D and it was mind-blowing. So many yummy flavors all packed into one sandwich. The second time my husband go the philly cheese steak sandwich and I got the cuban sandwich. We both loved our food again! Such great flavor and yummy ingredients. The bag of rings/fries was superb also! Can’t wait to go back.

Good burger, average fries. Just too darn hot to sit outdoors and eat but that is the«charm» of this place.

Forget about any other burgers joint, go straight to Danny’s. The whole burger taste very fresh, fried are plentiful, staff is great. I’m all for local businesses and this place has me as customer now.

I am a huge fan of Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives and when a friend from work told me about this place being on an episope of Triple D, I absolutely had to check this place out. The first time I went, I ordered their Cuban sandwich Danny style that has killer pulled pork, Virgina baked ham, genoa salami, capicolla, swiss cheese, and dill pickles all presses between fresh Cuban bread. This sandwich was loaded with meat snd was easily the best Cuban sandwich I have ever had. Normally I would not eat an entire sandwich but this Cuban was soooooo good I could not help myself. The 2nd and last time I went a friend and I stopped by to get lunch and we both got burgers. I had a beacon burger & he ordered the Guy Fieri’s Triple D burger(too many toppings to list). We both thought the burgers were very good, the fries were excellent, the choices of soda, weird, but different. You could possibly find a better burger out their but I love the various options and choices for burger toppings and their branding of burger toppings is baseball themed. Very cool! There is no indoor seating and outdoor seating can be brutal when it’s hot out. Also, this place is very popular and gets very busy so do keep in mind that good food is not fast food. Lastly, the outdoor seating is not the best and could use some updating but I still highly recommend checking this place out… just be prepared to wait a little while if they are busy and maybe even plan on eating in your car or truck if it’s really hot out.

If there were half stars, I would give this place a 3.5. Now I’m a fan of hole in the walls, but I do feel like some of them just take it into a whole ‘nother level which borders on not caring. This place is in what I could guess is a repurposed house on the main road. You will be sitting outside for sure so don’t come here when its blazing hot. There’s shade/covering in the back, but it could be very hot still. At first, it will seem like there’s little to no parking at the restaurant. However, there’s a parking lot across the street for customers. The burgers are pretty good for the price. You’ll be spending something under $ 6 for a pretty packed burger. Not a bad price for what you get. However, there’s nothing absolutely special that I could pinpoint that I would say is delicious about the burger. Just a good price for what you get and possibly a lunch if you work in the area. I also got the fries and onion rings on the sides. The fries are also quite standard, but the ONIONRINGS. definitely the standout of the menu. I’m not usually a fan of onion rings but I liked these. I’ll definitely give it another shot, but there’s nothing absolutely extraordinary about the flavors that would make me crave this place. I’ll also make sure to try the ice cream since its a dairy bar. Overall, would go back again if I wanted something better than a fast food burger but not quite a gourmet burger. P. S. they do not have fountain drinks… or even tap water. So you will have to buy bottled.

It’s good don’t get me wrong but it’s not amazing. But the burgers are meaty & cooked to order, you can’t go wrong with freshly made!!! Will return haven’t tried any of the deserts yet!

This is a neat little place on the outskirts of Tampa. We stopped in here for lunch on our way back from visiting family. The place comes up on your pretty quick and if you haven’t been there before, parking is across the street. I find this place to be a true piece of Americana. The look and feel is nothing short of authentic. If you look up authentic in the dictionary, you’ll quickly realize that the word probably doesn’t serve as a good descriptor here however, that is exactly how I feel about this place, and this is my review, so it is authentic :-) You order at the front through window, and then you go grab a seat in the front or in the back, and someone will bring your food to you. All the seating is outdoor seating, and the seats in the back are interesting to say the least. It is a very eclectic set up. Don’t interpret this as bad, it is actually really cool. Just be sure that when you come here you don’t expect white linens and fancy silverware. The food we had was good, it wasn’t exceptional, but it was definitely above average. They also serve really really good ice cream here and we indulged and enjoyed that to the fullest. The weekend we were there there was also a gentleman set up in the back providing live entertainment. His specialty was Rat Pack era songs and I must say he was pretty good. If you live in this area, or find yourself passing through this area, I would add this to your list as places to definitely stop at.

This is the ultimate dive restaurant and am I ever glad that I saw this place on TV. This is by far the best Cuban Sandwich I have EVER had and I have had them in many places(I’m married to a Cuban woman who loves her culture). The addition of the Italian Meats to the«traditional» Cuban sandwich was genius! The pork was so flavorful then you add the capicola and salami it is pure flavor utopia. The service was great we were even visited by the owner for a few minutes. This is a really cool road side restaurant that you can only sit outside at the picnic tables, really cool.

Five star all the way! The TripleD Triple Play burger was huge and fantastic! The Mrs had the Roberto Clemente Sandwich and it was excellent as well. The staff was very friendly and helpful with our questions.

I, like a lot of others saw this place on Diner, Drive-ins and Dives. The food looked amazing. I was surprised when I got there that the parking was across the street, but it’s not a very busy road, so it wasn’t a big deal. It’s a small little place with a walk-up ordering window. There are tables outside for eating, but I got my food to go. I ordered a double cheeseburger with bacon and it was nothing short of amazing. I also ordered the hot dog with chili and cheese. The chile is very flavorful. The dog was grilled to perfection although the tast was so so. The fries were very good. If you order a burger or dog with fries you get a free bottled soda. The cashier didn’t volunteer the free soda information, its on the bottom of the menu. Its a dive and i will be back for sure!

Small old hole in wall type place that serves great food at a good price. Large burgers cooked right and topped how you want. This place is worth a try if you’re close by. They also make great milkshakes. Seating is on picnic tables outside, as this is a small place. The onion rings were also tasty. I’ll be back for more as they’re better than the fast food chain burger joints.

If you are in the mood for a burger in Tampa Bay, definitely check this place out. They have been voted Tampa’s best burger twice, and I can see why! Their burgers are phenomenal. I just had a Danny burger, but it was perfectly cooked with fresh toppings. Fries were common frozen fries. Onion rings though are worth a mention. Fresh battered with a nice seasoning in the batter. Crunchy and hot. Interesting little place with outdoor seating in the front and back. Will hit it up next time i am in the area to check out more of their menu.

Awesome burgers. Unique and fun dining experience. If classic nightclub music isn’t your thing, you may want to sit out front. However, then you’d miss the spot-on impression of Louis Armstrong. After a stressful morning, this surprising lunch find turned our day around. We’ll be back for more good food and smiles!

Wow! This place is easy to miss, but pull in as soon as you see it, and check out their absolutely outstanding burgers, fries, rings and shakes. This looks like a classic roadside joint, and only has outside picnic tables to sit, but this place leaves the other joints in their dust! The menu includes Cuban sandwiches, cheesesteaks, chili dogs and lots of other goodies that I’ll bet are also good, but we are now hooked on their burgers. Baseball is the underlying theme of the menu, and the types of burgers are named accordingly. I had the Babe Ruth(bacon, mushrooms & swiss cheese) with Bases Loaded(lettuce, tomato, pickles, etc.), and I honestly don’t recall ever tasting a burger that was as good as that one. The beef was thick, fresh and perfectly charred, and the bun and ingredients were fresh and properly proportioned. Awesome all the way! The orders of fries and onion rings are both cooked just right, with that crunch that makes every bite a pleasure. We would return just for the shakes alone, since they are so good. Full of flavor, rich and so thick your jaws and lungs both get quite a workout. We’ll pace ourselves, but are looking forward to our next visit to try another burger version… or maybe that Cuban… or that cheesesteak sounds good too… or…

Amazing. Fries, onion rings, burgers, and the Philly are well made delicious eats. The Philly is hand made thin sliced rib eye, onuons, mushrooms and provolone cheese on a hoagie roll. I can not wait to come back to try more.

Danny’s is a a unique dive with a unique menu. If you like dives, this is the place for you. I’m a dive kind of guy, but this place was almost too divy. The menu is unique, and the food is pretty good. I had the triple D burger and it has great potential, but fell a little flat. I felt the burger patty was a little dry, and I didn’t care for the pulled pork. I had a bite of a footlong dog, and it was okay. I was guessing this place would have gourmet dogs, but I was wrong. Just a regular hotdog. On a positive note, the whole menu seems to be priced good. The onion rings and fries were really good! There is only outside seating, and tons of flies. Because the tables and booths are always outside, it’s nearly impossible to keep them clean. This is a big downfall in my opinion. Also, It’s just too hot in the summer to enjoy sitting outside; that one LOUD fan just wasn’t enough. Overall, not bad. A classic case of needing a half star to give this place a 3.5 star rating. I came here craving a Cuban, but after seeing pictures of the DDD, I had to try it. So I’ll be back soon for that Cuban!

Why did I wait so long to finally check out this world-famous place and sink my teeth into a signature«Danny Burger?» Danny’s only been around for 10 years but, better late than never. This is such a fun spot to visit and a tasty spot to eat. The inside is filled with pennants, pictures and all sorts of Major League Baseball memorabilia that it is well worthwhile to squeeze into the small, standing-room-only space to take a look. Warning: You may emerge still smelling — and smelling of — the tantalizing aroma of freshly grilled beef. Just about any time you go, it will be busy but the orders are taken and filled efficiently, people dining there make quick work of their food once they sit down at one of the outdoor tables and the whole process seems to move along surprisingly well and fairly fast. The menu is lengthy so be prepared. Lots of items are named for pro baseball players and there are specials so enjoy finding famous names and then figuring out the ingredients for each namesake item. Parking is across a fairly busy street so be cautious when crossing. The owner, Danny, is a delightful person who may, if he has time, show you a special map displayed in the back of this landmark dining spot. Each pin on a map of the U.S. and each name penned on the wall signifies where folks come from to check out Danny’s All American Diner and Dairy Bar. It has become a favorite spot to stop for visitors from across the country, and around the world, especially since Food Network star Guy Fieri taped a segment there and created an addition to the menu, the Guy Fieri’s Triple D Triple Play burger. It’s a mouthful that features a burger topped with mojo pork, pastrami, Swiss and American cheese, tomatoes, jalapeño peppers, French fried onion rings and mustard on sourdough bread.

Very good food, I hate the triple D, was delicious, lunch time with other manager after the training we was there, everybody like, little hot outside but is ok. Very friendly people, I recommend .;)
