Absolutely the worst experience we’ve ever had… we were huge DIRECTV fans/subscribers when we were stationed out in California. Used them for almost ten years. With Verizon FIOS being the leader in the surrounding area and paying the price dearly — decided to try our hand at DIRECTV again. Wow, lesson learned. The cheap comes out expensive. Stick with Verizon FIOS and run as fast as you can away from DIRECTV. The guy that installed our dish was one of the rudest individuals EVER. We told him over and over and over again… DONOTINSTALLTHEDISHTOWARDSTHEFRONTOFOURHOUSE! The HOA will not allow dishes to be visible from the street. How many times can you tell someone the above? We were busy with unpacking our house and came outside to find the dish had been installed on the front portion of our roof visible from the street! HOLYSMOKES! My husband went into orbit and told the guy take that dish down now! Verbatim, «No, I am not taking the dish down. You have to call relocation and have them take it down». What??? In addition, we have four huge bolt holes through our brand new roof. They do not place the dish under the shingles, but over them. Can you say temerity? This dude actually said if you rate me with all tens — I will waive the installation fee? People, RUN as fast as you can from DIRECTV if you live in the Tampa area. We still have a dish on our roof and waiting for a claims adjuster to contact us so we can pay a local roofing company to take down the dish and repair our roof. WE repeat WE have to pay a roofing company to take down the dish as we own it now? Stick with Verizon FIOS and pay a little extra —-
