Salmon rice bowl was delicious! We had a huge order and they delivered everything correctly. The order was a little late, but everything was great!

My all time favorite BLT sandwich places! There is no other BLT that can compare to doormets! The consistency is always on point! I have never been dissatisfied! I love this place!

I love Doormet! I’ve come back a few times now and it has been consistently fresh and delicious. I highly recommend getting their orzo pasta salad, as well as their sandwiches. The housemade chips are great, and the bread used on their sandwiches is delicious. My favorites are the Cali and Rustico sandwiches. The prices aren’t bad, and the portions are fairly generous(I typically get a half order and a side pasta salad and am quite full). The one time I did order a full sandwich I had to take the other half to go.

At first I was recalcitrant since the menu and ambience seemed geared towards take out which is their forte. However, it was short-lived and I quickly took to the restaurants casual vibe. We grabbed a menu and sat at a table ourselves. The place is a seat yourself and order at the counter venue which seriously simplifies the experience. I love the idea of easy-access and casual but seriously high-quality food. The prices are very fair for each item too. Their menu selection has a variety of foods for any mood including light and heavier options to satisfy the tad hungry to the famished. I had such a hard time choosing just one item but I managed to settle on their Meatball Parm sandwich with the potato chips. Two words: Absolutely fantastic! It was less messy to eat than other meatball parms in my past but still has all the qualities you’d want. The facciata bread was warm and freshly baked while the meatballs were plentiful and obviously made from scratch. My mother ordered the Saltimbocca which was delicious. The pasta tasted as if they make it in-house and the flavor was a complex and delightful experience. Overall I highly recommend this place for order in or take out(their specialty believe it or not!)

I’m frustrated by Dormet’s web site. I love their Spartan Pizza, but ordering is torture. I hope someone from management reads this because the manager at the store told me she had never seen the web site! Isn’t that like a fireman saying he had no idea how a hydrant works? First, you can go through all the selections and when you go to checkout, there’s no option to pay with cash. Only credit card. Even if I’m picking it up myself. Please! It’s the 21st century. So you have to call anyway, then you hit problem #2. The price you are given is different than the price you just got on the web site, and the person on the phone has no clue why. Then, when you pick it up, and let them know they need to improve their web site, no one seems to care, even the manager. I counted two people eating there, and 11 people working behind the counter! How do they stay in business? However, it’s my favorite pizza in Tampa, just go there and order, they don’t even know they have a web site.

Doormet is THEBEST! It really is *gourmet* good delivery! Also amazing service for order & delivery. Salads are incredible, pastas are incredible, sandwiches soups and more! I will say the pasta portions are very large, could probably feed two. Highly recommend: Thai butternut soup Caprese salad They have a $ 15 food Delivery minimum and only deliver to specific zip codes.

This place was not good. Caprese salad tasted wilted and old. Braised beef was the only good thing. Chicken piccata was like eating nothing but oil. Strange taste. Bunt cake dry and hard. Truffle Mac n cheese wayyy too much garlic. Prices like they have the Palm Steakhouse quality food, w diner level quality food.

I’ve had Doormet deliver to the office(they’re a favorite of the execs) and now I’ve eaten here in person. Why they’re not ridiculously crowded on a Saturday afternoon escapes me. The food is fresh, delicious, and family priced(if high) prices. I don’t know the last time I had such an amazing sandwich on such fresh bread.

We were in the area and craving some lunch. We «Yelped» the local area, and this place caught our attention. Being a vegetarian it is sometimes hard to find a good place to eat without having to settled for just a salad. They had an array of options for us difficult folk, and they were all delicious. We also brought back a turkey blt sandwich for a friend, and he said it was great. The bread tastes incredibly fresh on all sandwiches, and now that I’m writing this, I’m pretty convinced they make it there themselves, or at the very least, buy it somewhere very local daily. After we ordered, the food came out pretty fast. They have convenient way to serve food… Similar to Pei Wei… In that you go up to the register, place your order, and they give you a number stand thing to take back to your table with you. Prices were bad at all… I can definitely see us returning! Oh, I also enjoyed the lemonade. It wasn’t too sweet or tangy, just perfect!

Just ok, maybe I need to go back and try more stuff. I had salmon sandwich, it was a perfectly cooked large price of salmon, nice spice, good bread, but no sauce or anything special to make it anything other than well cooked salmon on a bun. It’s counter service place. Fresh fried potato chips I’m sure if I lived closer I would be back to try something else on the menu. The lobster ravioli looked amazing, but I didn’t feel like throwing out $ 20 for lunch. My friend enjoyed their soup and sandwich too Portions we are were large Beer and wine selection

I’m going with an OK on this one. Not bad by any means, but I was hoping for fireworks based on previous reviews. I did not enjoy in-house service, but rather experienced delivery. It was nothing to rave over. The prices are high and the food portions are rather small. Don’t order a half sandwich… you’ll be starving as it’s probably smaller than the size of your fist. The lobster mac and cheese comes in a tiny soup container and is kind of on the sweet side. I will say that the Cobb Salad was decent and had a tasty dressing with it. The delivery took a really long time(although we ordered to a lesser known apartment complex and the delivery guy apologized). Food was fresh/warm when it arrived and the order was 100% correct. Overall, it was overpriced and I don’t think I’d revisit. Probably worth a try if you are going to dine in based on other’s reviews.

I’ve had pretty much everything on the menu. Doormet absolutely deserves a 5 star review. Deli sandwiches: Best in Tampa! Something about their bread/roll that makes the sandwich phenomenal. Highly recommend Rustico(chicken, prosciutto, mozzarella, and pesto) and BLT. They definitely do not skim on cheese! Each sandwich has a huge slice fresh mozzarella! Om nom nom! Pizza: Decent. I’m being harsh here because it’s infinitely better than most places, however Doormet’s pizzas don’t have as much toppings as you would expect from a $ 20 pizza. Nevertheless, they are still very good and I’d recommend Brooklyn(pepperoni and sausage) and Athens/Quattro(pesto). Pasta: At first glance their pasta doesn’t seem anything special. Pasta is pasta, right? Every college student’s staple food(Ragu sauce ftw!). Doormet’s pasta is simple grilled chicken and mushroom with tomato or marsala sauce, but they hit the spot every time! It must be the fresh ingredients… because better ingredients, better pasta(I just copyrighted that slogan). Miscellaneous: Orzo salad is delicious but I could do without raw red onion. Black bean soup is very good, too. I have to ask, though. How do you pronounce Doormét? I think it’s «door-mei» kind of like gourmet, rather than«door mat.» Inquiring minds want to know…

I was in town on business and wanted something relatively healthy and an alternative to the many chain restaurants in the westshore/airport area. Visited Doormet based on the good Unilocal reviews and I was really pleased. Doormet appears to be primarily a catering and take-out place but there are tables. You order at the counter and they bring your meal. I tried the brown rice bowl with chicken, black beans and mango salsa. Very fun dish and quite tasty. Definitely hit the spot for what I was looking for. They offer a wider variety of soups and salads, but will have to try those options on another trip. I recommend you try it.

Stopped by Doormét after a couple of failed attempts to eat at the restaurant. Generally there is always a wait, this time, not much difference, but the wait was only 20 mins. The restaurant it self isn’t much to look at, basic seating, décor is pretty simple, doesn’t feel like there is a theme in the restaurant. The restaurant is happening, it’s loud, but not so loud that you can’t hear your date. Staff was nice, greet you with a smile, waiter wasn’t great help, everything is good was his recommendation, can’t go far with that. Started off with appetizers, caprese salad and calamari. Caprese salad — nice portion, fresh tomatoes, we upgraded the cheese, to buffalo for $ 3. The cheese was soft, great dish. I think it could of used a little crack of salt, I always enjoy a little balsamic on my caprese salad. Calamari — some pieces were seasoned nicely, others no seasoning at all in the batter. The sauce that comes with the calamari was just ok. I’d say the dish is alright, not great. I have had better calamari in Tampa. Some pieces were overly chewy, which could mean it was over cooked, or was frozen. For our main we ordered pizza, well duh but just one. We ordered the Nduja, toppings included Nduja Sausage, Tomato, Garlic, Oregano, Basil, Mozzarella, Stracciatella. It is a spicy pizza, just how we like it. Pizza it self is a nice size, 4 large slices. The sausage was authentic, had a nice rustic Italian flavor. Parts of the pizza were to soft, wet from the ingredients, meaning you can’t hold the pizza in your hand. Pizza was thin crust, I think the ingredients used and the combination really go well together. The pizza dough it self, could use more work, in Europe the dough is so good you can eat the crust on its own, here it’s like any other place. But overall nice wood oven pizza, better than the wood oven pizza place in Niagara. Dessert, have to have dessert. We shared the white chocolate panna cotta. The dish has blueberries, in a blueberry sauce, with shaved fudge around the edges. First off the panna cotta is delicious on its own, it’s got a really nice flavor, the texture is spot on. What hurts the dish, is the fudge, it over powers the panna cotta, and you no longer get that white chocolate flavor. So we ate the fudge, which was good fudge, and then the panna cotta. Is this the best pizza in town? Maybe…, is it the best pizza I have had in north America no.

The food is phenomenal. I really appreciate and enjoy the monthly specials. I like when there are new options added to the menu. I’ve tried their Brooklyn pizza and its so good. The crust is perfect. Their caprese salad is very good as well, the add avocados and pecans to the salad. I’ve only ever gotten delivery from them so I’m not sure what dining in is life. Delivery takes a bit longer than I would expect or like but it doesn’t stop me from continuing to order pizza from them.

Doormat really does have some of the best dishes in Tampa. I love ordering out from here, as well as dining in for lunch on occasion. Everything I’ve ever eaten is truly a treat. They have a standard menu that stays consistent and includes plenty of salads, pizzas, sandwiches and pastas. They also have a new«Specials» menu that comes out each month and has 1 new item from each menu category. Off the traditional menu, I have to recommend the greek and caprese salads! The doormet burger, and athens pizza and salsiccia pizza are also sublime. If you are thinking about trying doormet, do yourself a favor and go tonight
