FAS Windows & Doors

The people who installed my windows were very good, but one of the windows was not installed properly, I pointed out the mistake and they corrected and I trusted them to correct it the way it should be. Much later when I remembered to check it, the correction was NOT fully taken care of.

They were better priced and offered a good selection. Promt and courteous. I will recommend them to friends and family.

I have used FAS windows and doors twice. First time I did five windows, and two sets of french doors. The installers were very professional and neat. And I love the product. A year later I finished the rest of the windows in the house. I had a different set of installers, and was just as happy with them. I would use them again and recommend them!

I’ve used FAS twice — once in my prior house, where everything went like a charm, including the sales experience, which was distinctive from the others companies we had bid in that the salesman (Rod) was friendly, engaging, flexible, and did not pressure us at all.
Based on that experience we didn’t even look elsewhere for some windows on our current house. Again the sales experience was pleasant, but this time the end result was not. The crew shattered the old windows taking them out and did not adequately clean up. They left with a significant amount of broken glass in on my patio and in my yard, in addition to screws on the floors inside the house. I called regarding this and the exterior caulking (which looked really sloppy) and they sent someone out immediately to clean up. They indicated they would send someone to re caulk it before the inspection. That took over a month, despite repeated follow ups on my part. Even worse is that an interior trim piece is still missing, and despite two phone calls and an email with their production supervisor who told me they would take care of it immediately, this is still unresolved after two weeks (and I’ve not heard from them in over a week).
These windows were ordered in late January. I was told they would take «about a month.» It took two months before they were in, delaying other work that was contingent on them. It’s now almost 5 months later from we made the purchase and the work is still not complete.
Don’t let any window company fool you — the products they sell are really not that distinctive, and most of them sell the same window lines from the same manufacturers. In the end it’s the service and customer experience that matters, and FAS really dropped the ball on this one. I would not use them again, nor recommend them to anyone.
