I was born and raised in Dubai(UAE) for most of my life, so I do crave some authentic Middle Eastern food from time to time. I love the people inside! They were warm, friendly, nurturing, and accommodating(even provided me with my favorite tahini sauce with my food when I asked for some). But the food didn’t remind me of back home. I ordered a chicken shawarma. It was kinda dry and the ratio of veggies to chicken was a bit more on the veggie side. Also the garlic spread was the only sauce inside which is why I asked for tahini(that’s what goes inside shawarmas in Dubai). I still have high expectations for this restaurant as there are many more items to try so hopefully that will remind me more of home. TL;DR: great service, some dishes can improve :)

I went to this place for the 2nd time during the weekend for some lunch and we ordered a few dishes to try it out. I remember I had really enjoyed their food the first time I had dined there and I expected the same this time around. We ordered a couple of different items from the menu and I got to try them all Chicken Schwarma Plate: roasted chicken served in pita bread with a salad and garlic spread. Chicken was very tender and melted in your mouth but there wasn’t enough spice or sauce in there. The garlic spread was delicious and I asked for more Falafel Wrap: really enjoyed the vegetables that came in the wrap(radish, tomatoes) but the actual falafel patty did not taste fresh. Also the taste of the wrap was rather bland and there was not enough tahini sauce Beef Kabab Wrap: the beef was perfectly cooked and tasted great but once again, the wrap was slightly lacking in flavor & sauce. Service was good and the owners are extremely warm and friendly and gave us great suggestions for next time. Overall, the meat was cooked well but I think all of the items would’ve benefited from more spice and perhaps we should’ve asked for their delicious homemade hot sauce to go along with all of our dishes. I did enjoy the lunch overall however and will return and try their dishes with hot sauce! 3.5 stars!

Fresh Bites is one of those feel good places you go to if you want a wholesome experience, and also if you’re into Lebanese food. Lebanese restaurants are not very common, so that makes this place an even more precious gem in the rough of Tampa bay. Not to mention it is a family owned and run business. So the whole family works together to run the place and they appear more than happy to do so. Genuinely good people here and genuinely good food.

Amazingly fresh. Dedicated owner that stays true to cuisine. Recommend veggie plate to get a taste. «Chips» are amazing– mandolin sliced potatoes freshly fried– yum!

It take a long drive from New Tampa to this restaurant just to try it out. Since we’re are visiting the Citrus Park Mall, may be a good idea to come here for the book mark we have. Arrive the restaurant at and the waitress ask us to sit any where you like. After sit down and ready for the order, four of the regular show up. The restaurant waitress came by and said since we have not order, can we move to smaller table. I am ok to move but there is another table can sit four behind me. Just don’t understand why we have to move. I would said for this situation, they need to give us a free appetizer if we do a favor for them. Forget about the situation. Let concentrate on the food it self. Our food come out after the four people who took our table. We have order the the lamb kabab. The food only have six ounces on the grilled lamb. It accompanied with fresh salad, hummus, roasted potato and rice. Among all the rice is the best. Overall taste is good. I would give a 4 stars for the food. But value is not there for $ 14.59 dish with 6 ounce lamb. A bit in the high side. Service is below average. Treatment for new customer 2 stars.

Just tried them for the first time last night. Run by a lovely family — everything is fresh, not over salted, and delicious! Such a nice find in the Westchase area, where there are so many corporate/formula restaurants with no soul!

I absolutely love this place! I started off trying different dishes which were all good, but then I tried the fattoush and was blown away. It’s fresh, packed with flavor, and I can’t get enough of it. It is the only thing I order there now and I could eat it every day. It’s honestly one of the best things I ever ate. The owners are so gracious and genuine and they treat everyone like family. The food is made to order, no preservatives, lots of organic options, and they even have organic or gluten free wine and beer. Their fries/chips are made with coconut oil and they’re so good. The baklava is simply amazing; it’s light and not drenched with honey like I’ve had elsewhere.

Great food, healthy and organic too! Beef and lamb kabobs were amazing and the hummus is like nothing at the grocery store-so much better here. Lovely family run restaurant. You have new regulars!

Amazing. The staff is great & so is the food. Keep in mind that the falafel isn’t the same as a Greek one & they use different spices. Whatever you get will be great, they have a very large vegetarian selection.

It wasn’t completely horrible but I don’t think I’ll ever be back. When you first enter you are greeted by a sign that says to order and pay at counter. At the counter it was the most stressful situation. Just because I said I didn’t want hummus. All of a sudden the world stopped spinning and I had the owner talking over her daughter(who has taking my order), saying I’ve never had GOOD hummus, I must try their hummus, and I must have had a bad experience with hummus in the past. Not gonna lie, she talked up that hummus so I finally agreed to try it before agreeing to get it on my sandwich… Guess what? Still don’t like hummus(as expected). She(pretty obviously) got offended when I said that I would still not like hummus on my sandwich. Whatever! It’s my sandwich and I just don’t like hummus!!! My boyfriend went to pay and we were told to pay after. Very strange. I actually did like my sandwich, I got the lamb kaftah. The lamb had good flavor and it was pretty filling, I only ate half of it and was satisfied. The awkwardness of just ordering my food and how weird it made me feel… I don’t think I’ll be back.

Excellent. Fresh. Flavorful. Delicious. Middle Eastern /Lebanese food such as schwarma, falafel, hummus, lamb kebabs and such. I liked everything. Friendly service. Comfy lil place. The homemade lemonade and organic tea was very good. And comped with Unilocal checkin. whoop whoooop!!! We had an eggplant dish special stuffed with lamb bits and jasmine rice, the veg combo platter(hummus, babaganough, sliced radish and cukes, and a tasy dish with a name I cant remember; and the chicken schwarma. The meat was a tad dry for me but nicely seasoned. We had a cinnamony dessert that was tasty. Food left me feeling healtjy and hapoy. Glad to discpver this spot that Raju was keeping secret just for himself. Interior is casual and comfortable. Also a couole tables outside for you and your dog pal. No cat please. They are too dangerous and always plotting.

I really liked their food. Their grilled lamb is delicious, their rice on the spot. Humus, pita all is wonderful. The only thing, it is pricey. I had the grilled lamp platter, with their delicious hibiscus drink and few grape leaves dolmas. Total $ 25. Not my everyday lunch place for sure.

Since I attended the UYE at Petra Café hosted by Tiffany H last year, I began to savor Middle Eastern food, especially for the fresh ingredients and its vinaigrette flavor. It is a spiritual food that I seldom feel guilty of eating too much of it. I must be a very sinful person. Eating at Fresh Bites, an ultra clean family owned restaurant, I washed off all my sins accumulated from consuming too much Jerk Chicken and curry goat in Jamaica for the last three weeks. I shared 3 small size dishes with my girl friend: Baba Ghanouj, Fattoush and Chicken Shawarma Wrap with homemade chips. My favorite is certainly the Baba Ghanouj, a roast eggplant purée blended with tomato, onion and olive oil serves with homemade pita bread. The flavor and richness of this dish is indescribable with my level of English. Fattoush is a colorful salad full of abundant fresh bite size vegetable and lightly coated with homemade dressing. The Chicken Shawarma wrap is compacted with lean chicken meat and cheese. We ordered this wrap from children’s menu so it doesn’t have vegetable in it and the garlic spread was tuned down. Your kids will love it. Since this is my first visit, the owner gave us free drinks. Our bill is 22 dollar with tips. The cost is higher than regular restaurant, but the quality of meat and vegetable are worth every dollar. We are very satisfied with food, drinks, service and the calm atmosphere. I am planning my next trip to try more. Support the local business.

Now THIS is the falafel of my dreams. So beyond perfect. I ordered the falafel wrap, which comes stuffed with tahini, parsley, tomato, radish, and pickled turnips. I’m not someone who usually says yum radishes and turnips, but that has officially changed and I wouldn’t dream of having the wrap without them. Back to the falafel: amazingly seasoned and like none other I’ve had before and without one hit of being dry. I kept picking out pieces because I couldn’t believe the falafel tasted that great on its own. This place is a must try. Oh and treat yourself to the hibiscus tea as well.

I love Fresh Bites and can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this before. This restaurant is a small Lebanese restaurant that prides itself on using all natural ingredients. Yes, it does make a difference! On our most recent visit, we got the hummus appetizer, which is always perfect. I got the chicken shawarma wrap and loved it. I’ve also had the salads, lamb kafta, etc. The veggies are fantastic. My favorite meal there is the grilled chicken tender platter. YUM! If you are in the area or want to try Lebanese, try it. Your tastebuds will thank you.

Long wait but absolutely worth it! I got the Lamb Grilled Kafta Kabab and it tasted great. The meat was seasoned exceptionally well(good aftertaste), and they give you nice portions or salad + rice. The atmosphere is laid back with nice long stone tables. It’s also features a small wine bar by the entrance. The selection is typical of what you would find at most Mediterranean restaurants: wraps and plates. Each one gives you the option of choosing between chicken, beef and lamb. You can also go with grape leaves + hummus, á la carte. The price is a little higher than others but I’m fine with that since they use all-natural meats from a ranch outside of San Francisco that’s known for humanly raising their animals. Maybe that’s why the lamb tasted so good… they weren’t feed gmo corn! I think a lot of people miss this place because of its location. The sign isn’t prominent and several trees block the small commercial strip it’s located in. I almost missed it myself but I’m glad I stopped in to give it a chance. *Make sure to check in to get your free drink!

As far as falafel wraps go, this one is pretty darn good. I’ve lived in WC for almost 3 years now and have never been to FB. I went once, but they were closed. Now I’m kicking myself in the butt for not visiting sooner. I called ahead for my wrap, since I read everything is made to order and I knew it might take awhile. When I walked in, I was greeted by 4 kids-I’m assuming it was the owner’a children. They were all very pleasant and well behaved. The teenage girl was working the register. I got my wrap to go($ 7) and ate it in the car. It was so tasty and filling. For the price, it was a great deal. The pita was one of those large thin ones-not the type served with a gyro. The tahini was light and perfectly balanced. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I look forward to trying more dishes.

Fresh bites=fresh organic ingredients. This is a Mediterranean style café. Pretty small and casual atmosphere. You order your food at the counter and they bring it to your table. I ordered the hummus which had great consistency but missed the mark on flavor. It was rather bland with no taste of garlic. The falafal wrap was very flavorful with tomato, pickled turnip and tahini. Love that all the food is prepared fresh and is organic. The lemonade was fresh and I would come back to try other options.
