Frutas Frescas

Good not great. They have empanadas and other fried and baked goodies. Fruit juices and milkshakes. Desserts and fruit salad type dishes with coconut and condensed milk toppings. Tasty. Just not my fav place. La Montana.

Stopped in for the first time to try their fruit salad. Wound up ordering a large fruit salad and mamey batido to go. Both were fantastic and worth the price. A return trip is definitely in order to sample more of the menu. Only downside is parking. Rating is based on today’s order only.

I ran into this place just driving by, and to my pleasant surprise, I had a great lunch with my daughter. I was running errands and found this place and decided to stop by to grab something quick. When I entered, I was welcomed by the person behind the counter, very polite and attentive. I order to go, but while waiting for my order I decided to stay and sit, relax and enjoy my meal. Great fruit smoothies and very good wings.

I usually have no complaints about this place, but considering a cheeseburger, fries and banana smoothie (with added protein) after tax, delivery fee and gratuity was over $ 15, my expectations were not met.
I paid an extra buck for protein in my smoothie, which they never added. I asked for white American cheese and got yellow. The amount of fries with my combo was less than your average amount. Just all around disappointing. Meanwhile my order was placed online. You’d think the details would be hard to miss.
Sadly I am done with this place.

My experience comes from ordering online which they advocate through a few other sites. The delivery time has been over 45 minutes each time that I’ve ordered (4 times so far). By the time the food got to me it was cold and soggy. Calling in to check on my order seemed to only irritate them as they rushed me off the phone. I have stopped by twice to pick up food and they seem to treat you nicer in person. I’d say 4 stars for going in person and 2 stars for their delivery option.

Drove by this place on Water Ave hungry and looking for a breakfast Cuban. The establishment was very clean and well ran. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by more than one person and being that it was my first time i figured i’d check out the menu. Love the variety on the menu and literally wanted to buy like 5 things lol. I bought the bacon, egg, and cheese Cuban for my girlfriend and I and an empanada. The sandwich was AMAZING! Nothing like getting a 9″ breakfast Cuban with a good amount of bacon for under $ 5. They had pork, beef, or pulled chicken empanadas so I decided to try the chicken. Hands down the best chicken empanada I have ever had and it was only $ 1.50. Can’t wait to go back and try some more stuff off their menu!

I honestly love what they have to offer but as technology is constantly being improved I would imagine as a business owner for them to be more up to date. The hours of operation are incorrect on their website through a google search. I personally think they are a tab bit overpriced for that they offer but it’s delicious and welcoming so I can’t complain much.
As a side note, if you happen to have a low car or a slammed car it will be next to impossible to get into this plaza without getting stuck especially if you’re slammed. Don’t even try to get into the plaza. I would’ve even recommend it if you are lowered but it might work.

Nice people, terrific food and a great selection! Get the delicious CHOLADA! Almost a meal on it’s own… loaded with fruit! I got the Hot Latin Meal Special, chicken, yellow rice & beans with fried plantains… which will last me 3 days! Large portions, delicious, fresh food no matter what I order. Tres Leche cake… YUM!
Definitely a repeat customer! Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner!

Went here for lunch one day based on a coworker’s recommendation. Let’s just say, it’s a hidden gem on waters ave. I’ve driven by there several times and never noticed the place. My first time there I decided to try a fruit salad since that’s what they are best known for, now I’m not normally crazy about fruit, but the fruit salad is amazing. I was hooked the moment I tried it. During that same visit I also tried the salchipapas, which was equally awesome. They have great food and great service, it’s great. So great that I went back two days later and ordered a Hawaiian hotdog, it was so good! I also had they cheese sticks, very good too! I think I’m going to need to try their entire menu, everything looks good! They have a lot of variety of great tasting menu options, I’m looking forward to my next visit!

This is my second visit and wasn’t disappointed! Breakfast special has huge portions, value pricing and served in atmosphere where you feel like family. Frutas Frescas, the namesake dish, is an amazing combo of tropical fruit, granola, coconut and cream, a real treat!

I love their fresh fruit with delicious special made cream. I never tried their food, but I will one day.
Update
Came back for more for some of their goodies and was surprise that they didn’t hear about the Unilocal $ 1 discount for ordering two plates of fruit.
As far as their fresh fruit plate, is still as good as the first time.
