Fusion Bowl is my new go-to breakfast place in downtown Tampa. The shop is clean and natural feeling with blondwood tables and chairs and woodsy accents at the counter and on the walls. I had the bhan mi opla sandwich — a sunny side up egg with cilantro, pickled carrots, and a teriyaki glaze. It’s one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. I paired it with a blueberry iced tea that arrived in a tall narrow mason jar and was lightly sweetened and refreshing. Pro-tip: The tables are large enough to bring a laptop and knock out some work or emails, and wifi is complimentary. Go to Fusion Bowl, it’s fantastic.

This is my go to Phở place downtown. I have been to bamboozle in downtown also for Phở and was extremely unimpressed and would have to say I will not be going back. Fusion bowl however ticks all the right boxes except for one. They aren’t open at night and since I live downtown and not work downtown it really limits my ability to get Phở from here often. I understand it is in a business area of downtown so they probably wouldn’t get much foot traffic in the evenings but it’s sad for me because then I have to travel to waters if I want Phở at night. This place is super cute and has bar seating along the windows so you can enjoy your Vietnamese food and watch the street. They also do specials on appetizers normally on Tuesdays which is cool. I am too partial to the Phở to have tried any other entrée as of yet. They also have a pretty good list of teas to try with various flavors. Overall if you’re looking for a nice lunch spot that is clean, quick, and delicious downtown I’d choose this place!

One of the better Vietnamese places serving in downtown Tampa. The restaurant was very clean and everything was organized well. They do specials for 3 dollar appetizers on Tuesday which was a great price. We ordered the spring rolls with shrimp and it came out very quickly. It was only one roll split in half but they were pretty stuffed which I could see it being the price that it was. The peanut sauce was very good with it. We then ordered a beef phở and a pork and egg roll noodle bowl. My noodle bowl was fantastic and the fish sauce with it was phenomenal. It was a really great portion for the price and the vegetables were fresh with it. My boyfriend got the beef phở which the broth was okay, but the soup overall needs some work to it. It lacked a lot of taste and you needed to add lots of sauce in order to give it some flavor. You can definitely find better phở around town but it wasn’t too bad, great portion also.

Fast, good prices and tasty! A welcome addition to downtown Tampa. I usually get the beef udon, and the Tuesday appetizers special is great!

I have visited several Phở restaurants on my quest for the best. While I did enjoy my lunch it was not in my top 5. The atmosphere is quaint, nicely decorated and clean. This is a small space to tables are very close together, I’m sure the lady next to me heard me slurping my noodles. The menu includes options like Phở, bun bowls, tea and coffee. I indulged and ordered lemongrass chicken spring rolls, beef phở and iced Kyoto cherry rose tea. My lunch was a whopping $ 20. The spring rolls were very large in size and came apart a little too easily. They did offer a nice flavor though and the pnut sauce was delish. The Phở was served in a piping hot, very large bowl. All of the sides that would normally accompany Phở are already mixed in for you. I’m OK with that although I enjoy playing with the flavors on my own. The broth is not deep, needed alot of jazzing up but overall pretty good. My tra was spot on and I loved it. The girls working the front counter were very friendly and there are a steady stream of hungry folks piling in. This is a popular lunch spot among the employees in surrounding buildings. It was a nice lunch and I would revisit but after trying other options first.

One of my coworkers suggested we go here for lunch today and I am glad we took his suggestion! We work in Ybor so it is not too far and we got street parking close by. There are a lot of Vietnamese dishes and other Asian dishes to choose from as well as a lot of different teas. I ordered the Beef Phở and a raspberry muddled iced tea. When you place your order, if it is for dining in, you sit down and someone brings it out when it is ready and calls your number. One of my friends ordered the meatball phở and the goyza appetizer and the other got a bun dish and an avocado roll. It did not take long for our orders to come out. Everything looked very fresh and good. The phở comes in giant bowls, really more than my friend and I could each finish! We both added some extra spice, they have hot sauce on the table and they have a stand where you can get some extra pepper sauce to bring to your table as well. Thanks to other people’s pics on Unilocal,I ordered the muddled raspberry mint iced tea and it was awesome! So good, I would almost run over there for an afternoon pick me up. They have a lot of other hot and iced teas that do not have berries in them as well. I love tea and drink all flavors so plenty of good options. If you just want plain water(not bottled water) you can get that too. There are a lot of items on the menu that I want to try on future visits, including the ice creams(green tea, ginger, red bean) and my friends are also fans so I know we will be back!

I think I have to try other menu items to really decide but I’ve had their beef phở both times I’ve been here and it was good but I’ve had better. I’ll def continue to try it out and I was very happy it was open on a Sunday.

You need to try their«Mix-berries Muddled Tea» & Seafood Odon or Seafood Stir Fry. The place is super relaxing — so it would be perfect for a 1st date.

I’d give it five stars for taste. But the portion is small for the price. I got the tofu bun. And it was absolutely delicious. I didn’t even need to add hoisin sauce or siracha. This was some of the best tofu I’d ever had – and I love tofu! But for $ 9.00, I was disappointed in the amount of food. I could spend the same amount at phở restaurants elsewhere, and get twice as much noodles. I left still hungry, and that makes me mad, to have paid for a lunch that didn’t fill me up.

Visited this place after mass down the street from Sacred Heart church(coming down from GA for spring break) It’s a small café on the side of the street. Walking in the atmosphere and layout of the place was simple and relaxing. Nothing too distracting in the café that took away from the ambience of having a nice brunch in the city. The service is great with a really friendly and informative manager! Banh mi is packed with flavor so make sure to check it out! It’s a staple with Asian community for a reason! The ingredients make it a healthy option for people to eat. The freshness of the cilantro, pickled carrots and cucumber makes me feel healthy after eating it! :) P. S the spring rolls is TASTY healthy option too. Drink wise I tried the muddle strawberry tea and it was really refreshing! Not too sweet like most strawberry teas nowadays and you can taste the fresh strawberry from the first sip! Overall, this was a gem I found in downtown Tampa and was a great way to start off my morning :)

I really like the ambiance here. It has a casual café/lounge-type feel to it. It’s cute, relaxed, clean, and decorated tastefully. Staff are friendly and diverse, just as are the patrons. Free WiFi. And they have bar stools along the window, so if you like people-watching that’ll be up your alley, or if you’re just paranoid about your car, you can watch your souped up volkswagon parked on the side street there, haha.(TIP to non-locals: Side street parking generally has a toll and is limited to a max of 2 hours.) Also, I’d be cautious if you need a quick lunch here bc it was fairly quiet when I came in but once 11:30 hit, you can tell it was lunch rush bc a line started forming from the register out towards the front door. I arrived on a Tuesday morning, took advantage of their Tuesday $ 3 Appetizer Happy Hour and gave the Traditional Spring Roll and Gyoza a try. As for the entrée, I ordered the Traditional Banh Mi. Everything came out quick, and fresh. However, I didn’t realize the spring roll was one individual average-sized roll(normally $ 4), as I’m accustomed to it being served in pairs unless it’s an oversized roll, but that was my bad for not reading the menu closely — because it was indicated. It was good but pricey for the portion size. Gyoza came with 5 little pieces, not bad but probably not something I’d order again. The Banh Mi was good but seemed lacking in flavor. I think it was the liver paste that was underwhelming, instead of spread on both sides of the bread it was only on one side. Also, there seemed to be an absence of mayo, which is how I’ve traditionally had it, and I don’t typically put soy sauce in my Banh Mi but I guess that’s the variation standard here. It was OK, I’d order again if I’m able to customize to my aforementioned taste. They seem to have a great selection of dishes and choices, and I look forward to trying their noodle and phở dishes next time! In reference to my previous review on my first visit: Bao, one of the co-owners/managers is very personable, friendly, and interacts with customers. He explained the emergency for why they closed unexpectedly early the 1st day I had visited, and it involved a failed shipment from one of their suppliers resulting in a shortage of ingredients. It’s understandable that it was out of their control, but it would of been nice to see a sign indicating unforseen circumstances to close shop early — thus avoid leaving potential customers confused. Bao had graciously offered a meal and drink of my choice on the house for my troubles. I only accepted the free drink — a Stawberry Muddled Fruit Tea to go, which was refreshing, and I would liken it to a non-alcoholic stawberry mojito. I’m definitely going to recommend this joint to my friends in the area.

Great little spot in downtown Tampa. We dropped in here to try the Phở since its been pretty hard to find decent Phở in the South Tampa area that’s decently priced. We also ordered a Thai tea and a muddled tea to go with the order. The phở was good, but I wouldn’t say it was great. The broth had a pretty watered down flavor and there wasn’t much beef in the soup. Don’t get me wrong it wasn’t bad, it’s just not as good as the places I go in the St Pete area. The teas, however, were awesome. If we had come just for the drinks it would be an easy 5 stars. Great little place downtown that I’d definitely revisit if I was downtown, but probably wouldn’t go out of my way to get there.

Fusion Bowl is a nice laid back spot. This is the second time I have been here. I must say I do love just sitting on the couch. Last time around I got the breakdown from Rico Suave Mel R. on dominoes. Last time around I had the beef teriyaki, and this time I had the Japanese udon noodles, chai tea latte, and a nice sample of vanilla ice cream and Vietnamese coffee. All were delicious! I can’t say enough thank you’s for the owners of Fusion Bowl. They are very friendly and welcoming! This is a great spot that I will definitely come back to!

I like fusion. Fusion is good, as long as the good parts are being fused. Tried a couple of the fusion bowls, and they were both good. I liked the flavors! I thought the meats were nicely seasoned. All the ingredients were fresh. The food came out fast, and the person taking my order was friendly. Inside is very nice. Sleek and new, with a hint of modern. Plenty of seating inside. Ordering was a cinch, and the food came out fast. They did run out of Bahn mi. That was a little disappointing. Hopefully it’s not a chronic problem. Another con was the limited outside seating. Both just minor inconveniences, not enough for a subpar rating. Overall, I think it’s a great place for a quick and delicious bite to eat. I’ll go back next time I’m in the area.

This is a great place to get your Vietnamese food fix if you live in the downtown area. My boyfriend and I usually share the pork noodles with egg roll dish. It’s enough to fill us up without going overboard. Lol the first time we went we had the chicken phở and the noodles and its was too much food for the both us. I also really like their grilled chicken spring roll. I personally thought it’s a little overpriced at $ 3.50 for one spring roll but I guess that’s just the nature of downtown Tampa. This place seems like a pretty good placed sip on a drink and get some work done because it was fairly empty and quite the times that I visited. :)

If you’re craving Vietnamese food and don’t feel like driving up to Waters, this is the place to go. It’s a very nice looking, clean place in downtown Tampa that serves tasty if sanitized version of Vietnamese food at twice the price of the places farther north. I had the traditional banh mi and the muddled strawberry iced tea. Both were very tasty, although it hurt my sensibility to pay $ 4.25 for an iced tea in a place where you order at the counter. The banh mi was quite good. I liked its Magi sauced saltiness and that there wasn’t too much mayo. The veggies were crisp, and the bread was satisfyingly fresh.

Fusion Bowl is a win for me. My muddled strawberry and raspberry ice tea was so tasty and refreshing. It was served so nicely in a mason jar with mint on top. I loved it so much, I wish it was bigger. I also ordered the shrimp with pork bun with egg rolls. It tasted so light and delicious. I didn’t feel guilty considering all the flavor it had. It was served in a good sized bowl with a good ratio of shrimp, pork, egg roll, veggies, and noodles. Both of what I picked out are definitely a must try. I look forward to trying the phở, bahn mi, and other tea or coffee drinks. What a great little place with a cozy casual fresh setting with wifi, tables, couches, and dominoes. I talked to the owners, and others working there, and they are as personable and helpful as ever. Yes, I will be back. They also have one table to bring so you can bring your pet and eat outside. Bonus points!!!

Fusion Bowl just opened, so I gave it a shot. I like it more than the last place. The menu didn’t list it, but they made me a tofu banh mi(pictured below). It was pretty good but a little too pricey.(Places on Waters will sell a banh mi for about $ 3, but this one was $ 7.) Next time, I might just get the«traditional» banh mi, which is a dollar less. I really liked the water that they give you. It comes in a tiny cup, but it’s infused with cucumber.
