This was my first time here and it won’t be my last. I came here for lunch and had the«Beef Filet Mignon Shish Kebab». The filet was so tender that I was able to cut it with a fork. The filet had very good spices along with the cracked wheat rice. There are a couple of down sides, one is the«Side Salad» that came on the plate. The dressing is a oil, vinegar and lemon base. It definitely needs some spices in it. It had no flavor and tasted oily. I told the waitress and she brought me some«Tzatziki» sauce which made all the difference. The other issue was the are no cooked vegetables that come with this Shish Kebab.

Falafel was probably some of the best I have ever had, freshly made and cooked perfectly. Service was spot on, food was delivered at the right intervals, absolutely hating getting the main dish while still enjoying my appetizer(hummus which was also fresh but could have used more spice for my liking). Can’t wait to go back.

Authentic! Authentic! Food. Simply awesome. Every plate is better than the next. The hot appetizer is a great intro to this hidden gold mine of Mediterranean treats. Each dish is made onsite and from SCRATCH! Warm friendly service. Plates are big, so come hungry.

What an embarrassing night it was due to their HORRIBLE service! Our waitress was the blond polish girl named Alex. My mother wanted the mediterranean salad and when it was my father’s chance to order, he wanted the same one. Despite no one asking Alex for her opinion, she pushed my father to order another salad«because they shouldn’t get the same one». Okay, so he orders the Turkish salad with shrimp. Alex brings the food out and says«Oh, the chef made a mistake» but gives us the food anyways? My dad gets the mediterranean with shrimp and my mom the turkish(switched). Alex’s way of solving the problem was to give an extra plate so they could«share» though my parents didn’t ask to share or even want to share food. My mom is a vegetarian, why is she gonna want to taste shrimp or even eat the shrimp from my dad’s plate? My mom wasn’t happy with her own salad(since it wasn’t what she asked for in the first place) and asked if she could just have the one she originally ordered, the mediterranean. Alex said she’ll have to take both plates back(though my dad was happy with his) and she’d have to charge extra! WHAT? Charge extra because the chef or possibly Alex made a mistake? Alex even tries to take the plate off the table while my dad has his hand on his fork. Alex made my husband and I feel so embarrassed for taking our parents who were visiting from out of town to this restaurant. We paid a lot of money for average food and horrible service. Alex if you are reading this, I hope you learn to talk less and take orders more. You don’t give your customers orders, much less do you and the restaurant make the mistake and ask the customers to pay for it! We will NEVER be back!

Yummy, healthy, fresh food at a good price. I like their portion sizes and the consistency in the quality of food.

First time impression: as a vegetarian, I was not impressed. I went for dinner so the only available options were the falafel, zucchini, and grape leaves«dinner» plates(which includes a side house salad). I opted to get the falafel appetizer, which was very dry on the inside. I also got a mediterranean salad that was also pretty underwhelming. There are falafel wraps that are available for lunch but I don’t think I’ll be going back. My fellow dinner guests did enjoy their meat options, however!

Since I sampled almost all of the appetizers(through the cold app tray, hot app tray, and serving of hummus) I can say with confidence they have a wide variety of very delicious dishes. The dips came with pita bread that they were more than happy to refill as we needed. However, the menu seemed to be more Mediterranean than Turkish, or maybe fusion. Or maybe it’s because I’m a vegetarian and those dishes are similar. Anyway, whatever the cuisine, it was pretty good. Highlights: The stuffed cheese things were incredible. The falafel was edible and not dried out, but not as flavorful as the best I’ve had. The ezme was phenomenal though; the tomatoes were ripe and whatever recipe they use is amazing.

Food is excellent. Very healthy and fresh. My favorite are the chicken kabobs. Chicken always cooked just right. I have eaten here many times and never have I been let down. Thumbs up for sure! Staff is very friendly and kind as well.

If you are looking for something a little different than your«norm», you need to come here! The restaurant staff are so incredibly friendly, and the food is delicious. How can you go wrong? The first time I went here, I saw the waitress greet everyone who came in very friendly, like they were old friends. You can tell they have a lot of repeat customers. The food is very good too. It is very Mediterranean-like, but with a slight twist. It isn’t spicy at all, so don’t worry about that if you don’t like spice. I will definitely be going back!

Went for lunch with a group of 8. I ordered the lunch special lamb adana and stuffed grape leaves. There were only 3 grape leaves for the app. They were ok. The lamb however more than made up for that disappointment! It was well seasoned with a generous portion for lunch. We sat outside enjoying the shade. The service was prompt and friendly, even with a large party. The price was very reasonable for the amount of good you get. I’m sad I don’t live here, because this place would definitely be part of my heavy rotation. Yum!

Whenever I am in Tampa I make sure I stop in for a meal at Gengiz Kahn. This is one of the restaurants in the bay area that is worth driving out of your way for. Having been to Turkey and really enjoying the food it is good to find a restaurant that makes authentic Turkish cuisine. As soon as the waitress comes to the table I tell her that I would like a Turkish tea because it takes some time for it to brew. Staff at the restaurant are very helpful and friendly as well as knowledgeable about the items on the menu, Turkish cooking and culture. If you are not sure what to order off of the menu ask for recommendations. I always like to start with a Mezze cold appetizer. I think the three strongest are their eggplant appetizers… — Soslu Pathcan, eggplant with sauce — Pathcan Ezmesi, Babaganush — Pathcan Salatasi, Eggplant salad Another appetizer that is very strong is the Casik yogurt spread. It is a mix of yogurt with mint, garlic, cucumber and olive oil. It goes well when you have another appetizer with it in my opinion and you can put them both on a piece of pita and have them mix in your mouth. Pure Turkish goodness. They have a big selection of strong entrees so you usually can’t go wrong with any choice you make. I have never had a bad entrée here. I would recommend the following… — Doner, Ground lamb — Andana Kebob, Lamb chunks — Iskender Kebob, Sliced doner I recommend you also try the hot Turkish tea. It is strong and served piping hot. I usually have three cups one with my appetizer, one with my entrée and one at the end of my meal. Great place, great food and great service. Awesome!!!

Chill vibe good smells Liked the waiter Fun music Good décor ambiance. Wine was over priced as was food it’s a great time but my booth cushion was half trashed and it was 50 $ per person for drinks, soup, salad, apps and pub food. Really good time but over priced. For 60 – 75 $ I would give it 5 stars. For the 105 $ for two they are in another league and don’t make the cut. Apps weren’t hot when they arrived. prepared far to long in advance. Meat combo plate good. It’s exotic pub/fast food with good ambiance. Salad was awesome. Pitas were stale. I enjoyed to goofy Turkish style covers of 007 and hotel California.

This is one our favorite cozy joints to hang out in. The music is really relaxing. We usually order the lentil soup, which is wonderful. It’s a warm and comforting soup. We usually order a large plate and split it. That seems to be the best way for a couple to eat here, and this makes it very economical. The kabobs are very good as well, but the specialty plates work for us to split. The beer selection is nice, but I’m going to order a wine next time. We have had the same waitress every time, and she remembers us every time. It makes us want to come back!

Nice, clean, spacious yet still cozy inside. Nice bar area to have a beer while waiting takeout or a table. Also outdoor area. So a decent dining experience with decent prices. The dishes aren’t very authentic by the book Turkish, but still a lot better than most food you will get around here.(If you aren’t used to Turkish food, you won’t be disappointed) Gyro wasn’t at all like Turkish style gyro, and didn’t seem to be fresh cut of the spit even though they said it would be, the grape leaves aren’t your traditional olive oil grape leaves either. Yummy Turkish bread, salads, rice, and beer. The meat in the kebabs seem to be very good quality, which really matters a lot. Everything is a bit on the salty side. They play nice music but the owner? speaking on his phone loudly the entire time probably isn’t a great idea. – filet mignon kebap is outstanding.

We sat outside for lunch. The weather is perfect and sandwiches are in large portion. It’s good for meat lovers, but also have varieties for vegetarians. We also see many bikers around, runners with kids. A family friendly place.

This place was alright. Certain menu items were better than others, but I did not find myself totally blown away by anything. My boyfriend and I came here on a Friday evening. The restaurant wasn’t too busy and we were able to get a table right away. We started with a yogurt dip appetizer and it ended up being pretty good. I really like Mediterranean-style yogurt dips and this one was no different. The yogurt had hints of garlic and mint in it, so the flavor had a pretty decent variety. Instead of pita chips, we asked to have cucumbers/vegetables for dipping, an upcharge that we were not told about. I feel like our server probably should have been more upfront about that instead of having us figure it out on the check. We obviously didn’t mind paying extra for the vegetables but I still would have preferred not being in the dark over the cost. I ordered a lamb/beef patty dish called kofte. The patties were really tasty and well-seasoned. The entrée came with a salad which was not bad but had way too much dressing on it. My boyfriend got the gyro, which he enjoyed. It wasn’t a ton of meat but it was still pretty tasty. For dessert we had the baklava, which was pretty good but not the best baklava I’ve had. I prefer the flakier type over a doughy pastry. Gengiz Khan’s was pretty doughy. It reminded me of a brown sugar pop tart. Service was okay. Our server left our plates on the table for way too long in between courses which is a pet peeve of mine. She wasn’t awful but wasn’t great either. I would come back to try some other entrees, as I spotted several around the restaurant that looked like winners.
