My day started out with a dental visit and since it’s pouring rain and National Cheat day I’m headed to the new bakery of a friend. I’m thrilled to say the shop is bright and colorful and the showcase has very good looking sweets. Sheree has done a fabulous job with her shop and her talents are obvious. Ok I’m getting to the part about what went in the box to take home. Real French cream puffs White chocolate chunk cookies The most tasty gluten free brownie with thick chocolate frosting Butter pound cake by the slice. If you need a custom cake or want Sheree to bake for your party — call her. Coffee is available here and the café tables outside are a lovely place to sit with yours.

This is a dessert gem. I have already ordered twice from here for two different occasions with fabulous desserts. First Sheree’s presentation of even the desert in the boxes was stunning. Then we get to the taste: slice of heaven melts in your mouth and must have seconds; cake truffles were yummy; chocolate chip and chocolate cookies better than Mom used to make. Just saying if you need a dessert for an occasion or just that little indulgence… Get it from here.

OMG I am so glad this place is open!!! Sheree’s baking and baked goods are on a whole different level than anything else in the area! These are not your regular old cupcakes from a cupcake shop or from Publix. Everything she makes is so unique and SODELICIOUS! Her buttercream frosting is true buttercream– not this over-sugared mess you get everywhere– you can taste the flavor of the butter! Place your order in advance, or go and try her daily special– either way be prepared to be wowed! This is an old school real quality bakery and Sheree is a fantastic addition to this neighborhood.

I am so disappointed by this bakery for so many reasons. I have now been by four times, and only got inside once. The one time I got into it, there was very little there. There were three varieties of cupcakes but they were the smallest cupcakes I’ve ever seen, half the size of those from a grocery store or cupcake store. There was a pumpkin cheesecake bite, which was just that, one itty bitty bite. There was one cookie, which was half the size of a golf ball. There was one coffee cake type item. That was it. There was no brownies, no doughnuts, no danish, no cake, no muffins, no breads, etc. I was stunned. I can’t wrap my head around a bakery that offers so little. There’s a Circle K across the street from this bakery that has one bakery display and it contained more items, bigger items, and cheaper items, then this bakery. The prices were a bit lower($ 2.75 I think for a cupcake, $ 1 for the one and only cookie) then grocery store bakeries or the cupcake stores, but the sizes of everything was small. Now here’s my other issue with this place. the first time I went, it had not opened yet, which you could only tell by pulling on the door and then peeking inside. no sign on the door saying it was closed, under construction, or when it anticipated opening. So I went back a second time a couple weeks later, still closed, still nothing saying when it would be open. On my third trip it was finally open but there was still no signs or banners anywhere saying it was finally open. I found out it had been open for 10 days at this point! I live in the neighborhood closest to this bakery and none of us got any advertising or marketing telling us the corner bakery was finally open. It’s on a busy street and there was nothing telling anyone driving by that the place was open. After finally getting in on my third try and finding very little there, I actually went back a fourth time a couple weeks later. It was a Sunday morning at 10:49 and I was hoping for a great doughnut, muffin, or cinnamon roll to start the day. They were closed. I went over to Circle K and got two doughnuts, a cinnamon roll and a caramel éclair. I give up on this place. It shouldn’t be this hard to do business with them. When a convenience store offers more than a bakery, it’s time to rethink the bakery and it’s business plan(or finally make a business plan that includes telling people who live near, or drive by, your store that you’re there and open). One last thing… this place opened the middle of November. So how come there’s five star reviews of it from before it opened???

I highly recommend Goldie’s Goodies Bakery. Sheree will definitely be my go to person when I need a cake. My daughter picked a Great Gatsby theme cake with intricate detail. Not only was the cake beyond beautiful, best of all it was delicious. I was so impressed because many times beautiful cakes don’t always taste as good as they look. This one exceeded my expectations. All the guests were talking about it. My daughter ate leftovers for a week and it was still just as good as the 1st bite. Sheree also worked within my budget without skimping on the masterpiece! Thank you again for making my daughter’s Sweet 16 cake everything she wished for!
