Hair Matrix

I went to get my hair colored at this salon and I brought a picture. The stylist acted confident that she could achieve what I wanted. She quoted me a price of $ 95. She went in the back room to start mixing the color and called over the other stylist. She applied the first color and then added the second after a half an hour. Disaster, it looks like someone pissed on my head. The blonde is so brassy and the highlights aren’t anything like the picture. I proceeded to pay and she then charged me $ 140. Stay away.

My experience at The Hair Matrix was above and beyond the worst haircut/​customer service experience of my life.
I don’t like writing bad reviews but it is important to share what happened
here because it was an absolute nightmare.
I am a male, and this was my first (and last) visit to Hair Matrix. From the outside, this place has blacked out windows. It is owned and operated by the same person, a middle aged Indian woman who speaks broken English. I should have turned around and walked out as soon as I walked in but I figured I’d give it the benefit of the doubt since it was close to my house.
Basically, everything you could do wrong on a guys hair, she did. The way she used clippers left hair on the back of my head/​sides chopped, railroad tracked, and varying in lengths from ¼”-a full inch long in the same areas. She cut straight across my forehead leaving the front of my hair looking like Jim Carey in Dumb and Dumber… a total bowl cut. She accidentally shaved a giant bald spot out of the top/​side of my hair where it is supposed to be blended in and it was unrecoverable from there. There was literally hair 3″ long laying over buzzed ½″ long hair. She tried to fix the damage from the bald spot but it was going from bad to worse. I had to stop her, have her finish and get the hell out of there while I still had hair left to work with. I went immediately to a professional salon to have them try to salvage what was left of my hair. 4 different Stylists at the other salon looked at my hair and they were all in shock at what had been done to me and they were all in agreement that «not even in cosmetology school have we seen a haircut this bad.»
The icing on the cake came when I returned to The Hair Matrix to request a refund and this woman began hysterically screaming at me and threatening «God’s wrath and vengeance» if I were to write a negative review. I’m willing to chance it if this review saves even one other person the misfortune of getting caught in The Hair Matrix.
This place is truly a real life nightmare… avoid it at all costs!
